Chapter 1254 Shredder Joins the Illuminati
Luther rubbed his temples. He had just finished his day's work and was about to have a drink before going to bed when he received a message from the Illuminati. Judging from the identifier, it should be a communication from Lei Xiaogu.

This made him somewhat frustrated. After all, he was just an ordinary person who also felt tired. It would be difficult for any normal person to cope with the sudden news that he had to work overtime on the eve of his rest.

“I originally only wanted to take over everything of the Assassin’s Guild, but I didn’t expect to find some interesting things when I was looking through Lei Xiaogu’s memories, including the Illuminati that you all co-founded.”

"What do you mean by Shredder?" Sevich asked knowingly, thinking he had guessed what the other was thinking.

“I want to join you all.” Damian clenched his fist. “I think you all know the nature of my companions, so I won’t pretend. I need the Illuminati’s help to accomplish some things.”

“You need Shredder of the Illuminati, you need to understand that.”

Sevic sat up straight. In his eyes, Shredder was a somewhat capable but greedy fellow, someone who was easy to control. He did indeed intend to have Shredder replace Lei Xiaogu.

But the premise is that all of this is real. There are many miraculous things in this world; who knows if the other party is just putting on an act? The purpose is to infiltrate the Illuminati. "And the Illuminati won't miss you, whether you're there or not. The power you've shown isn't enough for the Illuminati to accept you."

“Then it seems there’s no point in talking.” Damian continued reciting his prepared remarks, having anticipated these events during his meeting with Batman and the others.

"Then I can only package up all the information about Lei Xiaogu and send it to the Justice League. I believe they will be happy to receive it."

"Are you threatening us, Shredder?" The Queen laughed irritably; after all, it had been a long time since anyone had dared to speak to them like that.

"I'm just stating the facts. If you don't want to accept Schreid's friendship, then destruction is the only option!"

Damian revealed his claws, putting further pressure on the Illuminati members.

"I can accept your distrust of me, but I cannot accept anyone questioning my abilities, Shredder!"

"Alright!" Sevich snorted, interrupting the argument.

"Shredd, is it? The Illuminati can accept your friendship, but only if you do nothing that harms the interests of the Illuminati."

"Of course I would do that, provided you do what I want to see."

Damian refused to back down; he wanted to act like a real madman to reassure the Illuminati.

“Remember your promise, Shredder, or you will face the wrath of the entire Illuminati!” Sevich threatened.

"This meeting is now over. You can take over all of Lei Xiaogu's legacy. We will remind you to attend the next meeting. Until then, do not bother any of us."

As soon as she finished speaking, Sevich was the first to hang up, followed by the Queen Bee, who clearly didn't intend to talk to Shredder any longer.

Then the other members of the Illuminati also hung up the communication one after another. The last two to leave were the witch child and Luther. The former found Shredder's crazy giantness amusing, while the latter was curious about him.

After all, none of them had ever heard of the name Schreid before today.

Even these two didn't intend to interact with Schreid much; it's better to keep a distance from strangers.

Just as Wu Tong hung up the call, he received another call from Sević.

"What old relic?" the witch asked playfully. "Are you still upset about what happened at the meeting and want me to use magic to help you get revenge?"

“I did come to you to use magic, Coralie.” Sevich’s tone was harsh, indicating that he was still angry.

“However, I won’t do something so petty. I need you to use magic to find out the true identity of this Schreid.”

“I have already searched with my own power, but I can’t find this person named Shi Lai anywhere. It’s as if he appeared out of thin air.”

"That's why you need my power," the witch boy laughed heartily. "I agree; after all, it sounds quite interesting!"
