Chapter 1235

As the two were engrossed in their conversation, and Green Arrow hesitated about whether to accept Yang Le's offer, they both heard an argument coming from the infirmary.

The two exchanged a glance, and Green Arrow, who was closer to the door, turned around and pushed the door open. Before he could even peek inside, he saw a dark shadow flying towards him.

Green Arrow ducked to dodge, but Yang Le reached out from behind him and firmly grabbed the flying object. It was a slender vase, and some water was leaking out when he held it.

Logically speaking, given Green Arrow's dynamic abilities and skills, he could have easily caught the vase like Yang Le, but as a shooter, he must always ensure the health of his hands.

Therefore, he would not do anything like grabbing the attacking object, which could injure his hand, unless absolutely necessary. He didn't want Yang Le to have his body reinforced with N metals again, so it was more practical to dodge.

Before he could even say thank you, Green Arrow looked in the direction the vase had been thrown and, sure enough, saw Roy and William arguing.

William could only be seen from behind, but the way he stood straight showed that he was just passively being scolded. Roy, whose face could be seen from the front, had a completely red face, and his ferocious appearance terrified Green Arrow.

At this moment, Roy was trying to grab something with his only remaining left hand, clearly intending to attack William again. It seems that the vase earlier was also his doing.

"Stop, Roy! Stop!"

Green Arrow rushed to the bedside and stopped Roy from committing further violence.

"Stop?" Roy's eyes changed noticeably when he saw Green Arrow, but it was quickly replaced by anger.

He pointed at William in front of him and said angrily, "Another clone is standing right in front of me like this. How am I supposed to stay calm?"

"Let me guess, you just want this clone to replace me, don't you?" Roy raised his right arm, which only had half of it left. "Did you think a clone was better after seeing my missing arm?"

"I didn't think that way about Roy..." Green Arrow was naturally inferior to Roy, who was missing half an arm, and even his rebuttal lacked power.

"Never thought of that?" Roy's neck veins bulged. "Then why didn't you notice my disappearance sooner? All these years, didn't you realize you were living with a clone of yourself?"

"Green Arrow couldn't possibly have discovered it."

William, who was standing nearby, couldn't stand it anymore and defended his adoptive father, saying, "I was cloned from you one-to-one. Not only my body, but your memories were also implanted in my brain."

"Physiologically speaking, we are almost the same person. Not to mention Green Arrow, even Superman wouldn't be able to tell the difference between us."

William was absolutely right. When he was still a spy, Green Arrow actually introduced him to the other members of the Justice League quite a few times.

Among them were some superhumans, such as Superman and Martian Manhunter, but without exception, no one ever discovered that he was a clone.

Just as Zatara and his daughter said, with the Illuminati's cloning technology, the only difference between a clone and the original might be the soul.

However, normal people have no way to access the soul, and magicians would not casually spy on other people's souls, as it is considered very impolite; even most dark wizards would not do such a thing.

Therefore, William was able to impersonate Roy for so long without anyone noticing.

But Roy didn't care about any of that. He was mentally unstable and would magnify even the smallest mistakes. To put it bluntly, he was just venting.

"So what?" Roy dismissed William's explanation with a single sentence. "I was talking to Green Arrow. When did you, a clone, have the right to interrupt?"

William knew he was a clone, but that didn't mean he could accept it. Roy's words were like rubbing salt into his wounds.

But William was in a similar situation to Green Arrow; they both felt indebted to Roy and therefore didn't want to argue with him too much, lest they hurt the latter again.

But this is just the two of them; Yang Le won't spoil Roy like they do.

"Let's keep quiet. William helped when he saved you, and the first thing he thought of when he found out that your original self was still alive was to find you."

"And you are... again."

“You don’t need to know who I am,” Yang Le interrupted Roy’s attack. “I’m just telling you what you should know.”

"Yes, you have had a really tough time these past few years, but what happened to you was not caused by those of us who care about you."

“We not only didn’t cause you any harm, but we also rescued you. You shouldn’t take your anger out on us.”

“If you really want revenge, no one here will stop you. You can go find those who hurt you, instead of acting like a coward and fighting amongst yourselves, understand?”

Yang Le spoke like a machine gun, leaving Roy speechless. Unable to think of a way to retaliate, Roy simply turned his head and buried himself in the blanket.

"If you've thought it through, come to my laboratory in the Hall of Justice. But let me tell you, I'm not there 24 hours a day. You only have three hours to think."

"Three hours from now, you might not be able to find me for a while."

After Yang Le finished speaking, he turned around and walked out of the room, leaving the three people in the room looking at each other in bewilderment.

To be precise, there were two people. Roy hid himself under the covers, and no one could see his face now.

Seeing Roy's ostrich-like demeanor, Green Arrow didn't say anything more, only offering some words of comfort, and finally left the room with the words, "I'll come see you again in a while."

William was also pulled away by him. He realized that it was never appropriate to leave the two of them alone together.

After the door clicked shut, Roy slowly poked his head out from under the covers. Judging from his expression, he was probably thinking about what Yang Le had just said.

About half an hour later, Roy removed all the testing equipment from his body, then awkwardly got out of bed and tiptoed to the door of the infirmary.

After opening the door and peeking out to make sure no one was around, he pushed it open and headed toward the laboratory, following his memory.

The Hall of Justice was built a long time ago. It is said that the former headquarters of the American Justice Society was located here, and the Hall of Justice was built on the site of that headquarters.

Roy had visited the renovated Hall of Justice many times before he was arrested, so he was very familiar with it. Moreover, he had actually spent more time sleeping than waking up over the years, so there was no possibility that he had forgotten anything due to the passage of time.
