Chapter 1233 Saving Private Roy
Chapter 1233 Saving Private Roy
Constantine not only obtained the approximate place name, but also the specific coordinates.
With specific coordinates, everything becomes much easier. There's no need for any special plans; the Justice League army can simply overwhelm them.
Unfortunately, many members of the Justice League are busy with their own affairs, so even if they wanted to send a large army to the border, they couldn't. They could only send a few available members to carry out the mission.
Green Arrow and Roy Clone are definitely going, Superman has also handed over his work to others, and Batman can't get away, so he entrusted Yang Le to keep an eye on the three of them to prevent any accidents from happening.
Superman's strength is indeed reassuring, but small-town boys are often too naive. They are willing to believe in the best parts of people, so they are always taken advantage of.
Yang Le's task is to keep an eye on Superman to prevent any problems from arising at the heart of the Justice League.
Without further ado, three of them boarded the flying vehicle sponsored by Green Arrow, with Superman escorting them, and the four of them set off toward the goal given by Constantine.
Green Arrow was extremely anxious. If he hadn't considered the fact that the human body couldn't withstand such high speeds, he probably would have kept the accelerator floored the whole way.
However, in this way, the group quickly arrived at their destination, an unremarkable snow-capped mountain in Tibet.
After confirming his arrival at his destination in the clouds, Superman immediately used his X-ray vision to scan the mountains below and discovered something amiss.
He couldn't see through the mountain directly below. Normally, some mountains might contain a little lead, which isn't surprising, but there aren't usually mountains that can completely cover an entire peak.
This is clearly a case of trying to hide something obvious; anyone with a brain can see the problem at a glance.
"I'll lead the way."
Superman greeted the three people sitting in the spaceship, then swiftly swooped down.
Moments later, with a loud "boom," a large hole was smashed into the mountain.
Even a clone of Roy could see something was wrong. If Superman hit a normal mountain like that, it wouldn't just collapse completely, but at least half of it would fall.
The fact that the mountain peak only had a large hole in it proves that there must be something supporting them beneath the rock mass.
"Looks like we've found the right place." Clone Roy unbuckled his seatbelt and turned to get his equipment.
Green Arrow was doing the same thing as him; the two of them looked like they were doing dangerous guerrilla training, their movements showing perfect coordination.
"The aircraft has entered autopilot hover mode," Green Arrow explained.
"It will hover here and wait for us to come back until its energy runs out."
As he spoke, Green Arrow had already put on his parachute and handed another bag to Yang Le, who refused it.
"I have a way to land; you can keep this for next time."
As he spoke, Yang Le waved to the two archers and jumped out of the aircraft with great style, just like an extreme skydiver.
The only difference is that Yang Le didn't carry a parachute.
The two archers looked at each other, neither of them believing that Yang Le was courting death. They shrugged at each other and followed in his footsteps.
While the two archers were still slowly landing, Yang Le had already crawled into the hole that Superman had created.
By the time Yang Le landed, Superman had already dealt with most of the situation, as evidenced by the fact that he had tied the people together in the center of the hall with a piece of sheet metal he had somehow acquired.
Some of these people were wearing white lab coats, while others were even wearing Assassin's Guild uniforms. "These people must be members of the Assassin's Guild," Superman said, appearing beside Yang Le in the blink of an eye. "When we fought them just now, the moves they used were clearly the Assassin's Guild style."
Superman's eyesight is impeccable; there are very few techniques in the world that he wouldn't be able to identify at a glance. However, he has no use for these things, so they are usually forgotten.
“Damian said that the Illuminati’s bases are managed separately by the members. Since there are members of the Assassin’s Guild here, then the manager here must be Lei Xiaogu.”
"It's just that he's not here right now, otherwise we could have caught him on the spot."
“It’s alright, the evidence here is enough for the Justice League to legally arrest him.” Superman didn’t feel any regret at all.
"In the days to come, as long as he dares to show his face, we can catch him."
"Let's not talk about that now." Yang Le looked at the red and green figures falling from the hole in the ceiling. "Where's Roy? Have you found his location?"
“Found it.” Superman looked relieved. “He’s lying in the life support pod in the next room. I don’t think I should take a father’s job.”
“Green Arrow will be very grateful to you,” Yang Le said.
Just as Yang Le said, Green Arrow did thank Superman more than once, until he saw Roy lying in the glass jar and stopped.
Green Arrow placed his hand on the transparent glass, looking with a complex expression at the real Roy, who was forced into hibernation inside, through the pale green liquid.
The real Roy looked very unwell; he was extremely thin, almost a size smaller than the clone Roy, and there was no muscle visible on his body, making him look like someone who had been malnourished for a long time.
That's just the least noticeable part; the most striking thing is Roy's missing right hand, or more accurately, his entire left forearm is gone.
The exposed cross-section clearly shows that Roy's right arm was deliberately amputated.
"It seems that this is why you were born."
Yang Le looked at Roy's severed arm. Although he didn't name him, the clone Roy knew that he was referring to him.
This made Clonn Roy feel even more guilty.
"What's done is done, so don't dwell on it." Green Arrow patted him on the shoulder. "Besides, this isn't something you wanted to see either."
"Let's get Roy out of here first; we've been here far too long."
Green Arrow pressed the ejection button on the life support pod. The pod was first laid flat, and then the green liquid inside was gradually extracted until Roy was lying inside.
Then the hatch opened with a hiss, and the frail Roy was finally exposed to the air.
Green Arrow gently lifted him out, and when he felt that the other person's weight was far beyond what a normal boy should have, the tough guy finally couldn't hold back, his eyes reddened, and a few tears flowed uncontrollably.
"I'm sorry, I know it's not the right time." Green Arrow wiped away his tears with one hand.
Please forgive me…
I don't know who he was saying that to.
