Chapter 1227 Green Arrow and Clones

In terms of mental state, Oliver wasn't much better than Cromwell.

The latter fell into deep self-doubt, unsure whether his existence was justified or what to do next.

As for the former, all that was left for Oliver was endless self-blame. On the one hand, he wanted to rescue the real Roy as soon as possible, but on the other hand, he didn't know how to face Roy.

Both Roys are.

Because the matter was quite serious, a meeting of the Justice League was held when conditions allowed.

However, because a series of issues had just been resolved and there were still many things to do after the major battle, very few people attended the meeting this time.

The Big Three will almost certainly be present, along with The Flash and Green Arrow, who plays a crucial role in the event.

Yang Le was also called over because of his role as the guardian of the Young Justice League, even though he had only been in contact with Kronoy for a very short time.

Yang Le was also told to bring Robin along. Robin is not only the captain of the Young Justice League, but also a friend of Krono. It's not hard to guess why he was called over.

Oh, and Donna too. Since she just joined the Justice League and didn't have much to do, we invited her to sit in on this meeting.

Apart from the members mentioned above, the remaining official members are basically all busy with their own things.

The three Green Lanterns were busy with the handover of 100,000 criminals, while Martian Manhunter was called in to check the mental state of all those who had been controlled.

Aquaman also went to salvage the wreckage and corpses of the Reach Zerg spaceships, and so on.

As for the clone Roy himself, he was not invited. He also felt that he was not qualified to attend the meeting because he believed that the identity of the official member of the Justice League should belong to the real Roy, and that he was just a cuckoo occupying the position.

Therefore, after learning his true identity, Roy voluntarily locked himself in the Justice League's prison and refused to come out no matter what others said to him.

Batman went to see him, and according to him, the boy was completely withdrawn and basically refused to communicate.

"For well-known reasons, let's keep things simple." Batman once again took on the role of host.

"The main reason I called everyone here today is to discuss the issue of Roy Harper and his clones."

"Let me start," Yang Le said, unusually raising his hand at the beginning of the meeting. "First of all, the real Roy must be rescued; that's for sure. I think we can discuss that later."

"The more important issue now, and the reason we've all gathered here, is how to deal with the clone Roy."

Everyone present nodded in unison, agreeing that the latter topic was of utmost importance.

“Actually, in my opinion, there’s nothing to discuss about this.” Yang Le stood up slightly. “Clonroy was just under mind control; he’s still a good kid at heart.”

"Therefore, I think we should first remove the mental control from his brain, and then enlighten and guide him."

"He may not have been able to choose whether or not he came into this world, but I believe he at least has the right to choose how he lives afterward."

“Yang is absolutely right.” Superman wholeheartedly agreed. “None of this is his fault; Roy was just being used.” “The key issue is that Roy is refusing to communicate with us now.” Wonder Woman said, glancing at Green Arrow, who sighed and shook his head helplessly.

“There’s nothing I can do. Roy refuses to communicate at all. I just tried to talk to him, but he completely ignored me. He’s shut himself off in his own world.”

"Excuse my bluntness, Green Arrow," Yang Le said, tapping the table lightly. "Do you carry a mirror with you?"

"Uh, is there anything wrong?" Green Arrow was clearly surprised that Yang Le would ask this question, and he paused for a moment before answering.

Yang Le didn't speak but glanced at the Flash. The latter understood his meaning and with a slight sway, a portable mirror appeared in front of Yang Le.

"Thank you," Yang Le said softly, then pushed the personal mirror in front of Green Arrow.

Just as Green Arrow was about to ask Yang Le what he meant, his eyes were involuntarily drawn to the side mirror that was swiping towards him, until he was completely stunned by the image in the mirror.

Honestly, even Green Arrow wouldn't recognize the person in the mirror.

"Although you used to seem carefree, you were like a sharp arrow."

Yang Le looked at the stunned Green Arrow and slowly said, "Decisive and swift, you always find your target, just like the arrow in your hand. But what about now?"

"Dejected, hesitant, timid—is this still the Green Arrow I know? I ask you, if someone said to you like this, 'Hey kid, let's talk. I'll show you the way and dispel your confusion.'"

"I'm asking you, Oliver, would you yourself believe in someone like that?"

Yang Le's words came like a barrage of bullets, striking Green Arrow's heart and leaving him breathless for a moment.

What followed was a long silence, during which both the speakers and the onlookers fell silent.

"You're right, Yang Le."

Finally, Green Arrow himself broke the silence. He seemed to have let go of his worries, and his tense demeanor vanished as he leaned back in his chair, looking as if he had deflated.

"If I were to say I was a bankrupt loser, people would believe me. Even if I were wearing this uniform, people would think I was a middle-aged man doing cosplay. If I took off the uniform, I probably wouldn't be chased away if I went to line up at a welfare center."

Green Arrow smiled with relief and continued, "How could I possibly persuade Roy? It would be a miracle if we didn't both become depressed. I can only say that he gave me face by not scolding me to my face. Thank goodness you came along and brought me back to my senses."

Although he seemed to have let it go, everyone present knew that Green Arrow was still not back to its former self, which was normal since this was no small matter.

“Roy needs someone to guide him,” Green Arrow chimed in. “It’s irresponsible, but I don’t think I’m really suited for this job right now, though I can offer a lot of advice.”

"You should keep your well-intentioned advice to yourself," Yang Le retorted to Green Arrow. "Listen to me on this. I've taken care of more kids than all of you combined."

No one present objected; they all believed that Yang Le was referring to the children of the Young Justice League, when in fact he was talking about his own Nakvergi baby.

After all, the clone was brought along by him.
