Chapter 1193 Damian Subdues the Bigfoot Ninja
A crisp "ding" sound, accompanied by a barely perceptible tremor, signaled that the elevator had arrived at the top floor.
Damian took a deep breath before the elevator doors opened, and then slowly stepped out of the elevator. He had only taken a few steps when several Bigfoot ninjas emerged from the shadows in the corner.
Unlike their first encounter, this time the Bigfoot ninjas did not engage in combat. Instead, they stood ramrod straight, as if welcoming someone's arrival.
"Brother, they seem to respect you a lot."
Ban 23 whispered something in Damian's ear. Although the voice was soft, the latter could still hear the teasing in Ban's tone.
Damian didn't reply. It was time to get down to business; he didn't have time to deal with the grinning Ban 23.
The two walked a few steps under the watchful eyes of the Bigfoot ninjas. When they arrived at the Japanese-style house on the roof that originally belonged to Shredder, they saw four elite ninjas standing respectfully on the steps.
"I have completed your trial."
As Damian spoke, he gestured to Ban 23 with his eyes, who immediately understood, took two steps forward, placed the cloak that was serving as a bundle on the ground, and then untied it.
The trophy, about half the height of a child and seemingly made of jade, gleamed with a soft red glow in the setting sun. A laurel wreath, as if made of real plant material, was placed on top of the trophy, and the two seemed to blend together seamlessly.
Upon seeing this, four elite ninjas jumped down from the steps and stood around the trophy. The leader of them spoke to Damian.
"We need to check it out."
"Whatever." Damian's tone was calm. He was no longer afraid of being tested by fire, since he had taken this thing directly from the Supreme Name, so it was definitely more authentic than if he had taken it from someone else.
As for whether the Supreme Lord created a fake one to deceive him? There is a possibility, but it is so small that it can be ignored.
First of all, the Supreme Daimyo's character is still trustworthy. Even if his son, the Supreme Ninja, makes a mistake, he will really judge him, and he will do so in public.
Although Yang Le's coercion played a part, a person simply doesn't want to, especially someone at the level of a Supreme Lord.
Damian did not believe that the Supreme Lord would sacrifice his own son out of fear of Yang Le's strength. Clearly, although he was slightly confused, he was still able to distinguish right from wrong.
Moreover, this so-called "confusion" is nothing more than a father's instinctive protection of his son.
While Damian was deep in thought, the elite ninjas had already surrounded the trophy and laurel wreath, and only slowly dispersed after examining them for about a minute or two.
“It’s a real trophy.” The elite ninja nodded. “According to records, the trophies awarded by the Supreme Daimyo are all made of jade that doesn’t exist on Earth, so it’s practically impossible to fake them.”
"You have completed the trial. As agreed, all Bigfoot ninjas will now serve under you."
After speaking, the leading elite ninja knelt down, not in the common Western style of kneeling on one knee, but in a full prostration, completely exposing his back to Damian standing in front of him.
This signifies complete submission; from this day forward, everything he owns will belong to Damian, who will have the right to dispose of everything he has at will, even to the point of killing him immediately.
Kneeling down with him were three other elite ninjas, as well as countless Bigfoot ninjas. The countless shadowy figures knelt down together like dominoes, forming a dense, dark mass in an instant. The scene was quite shocking.
If Damian hadn't sent 23 people with cameras, the latter would probably have already recorded it. "Is that all?" Damian looked at the smooth process and felt a sense of unreality.
"Isn't there any token or anything like that? Or some kind of keepsake?"
"Logically speaking, there should be something called the Heart of a Tengu," the elite ninja replied, kneeling.
"However, that thing has probably disappeared along with Schreid, so from now on there will be no token, and we will only obey your orders."
Damian stroked his chin. He wasn't worried about the loyalty of the Bigfoot ninjas, but in his original universe, he had plenty of ways to get things done for others.
Aside from magic and superpowers, the simplest thing is probably cloning. Even Damian, who wasn't particularly interested in this matter, had overheard some stories about clones of Justice League members from his grandfather and mother's conversation.
Hmm, maybe I can tell Yang Le some information about the clones later. He's also a member of the Justice League, so he'll probably be very interested in this information. This way, I can repay him for his help these past few days.
No, I'm thinking about how to prevent someone from switching my things right now. I'll think about thanking them when I get back.
After much deliberation, Damian came up with what he considered a foolproof plan.
He acted on his thought immediately, reaching out to draw the hilt of the sword hanging at his waist. As he gripped the hilt, the Soul Sword swiftly extended from it.
The blade, emanating a dark aura, appeared even more eerie under the setting sun.
"Keep your head up."
At Damian's command, all the Bigfoot ninjas raised their heads, and together they saw the Soul Sword that Damian held above his head.
"From now on, only the person who wields this sword is the real me. Remember, unless there is a special order, the sword and I are indispensable."
"This sword represents my soul, and no one can fake it."
As he spoke, Damian placed the Soul Sword on the shoulders of the four elite ninjas one by one, and the four of them felt Damian's presence up close.
As the sword, shrouded in black mist and emitting a faint glow, landed on their shoulders, they gained a more direct understanding of what kind of person Damian truly was.
Unlike the Shredder they had served before, they learned about their former master over time; he was a tyrannical, insane, and cruel villain.
Damian, on the other hand, was still very inexperienced and did not yet possess the greedy ambition of Shredder. The elite ninjas could only sense an upward drive and knew that their new master was eager to prove something.
Therefore, Damian needed their help. It was a strange feeling. Previously, the Shredder he served only treated them as weapons, using them when they were useful and discarding them when they were not. He was very cold-blooded.
Damian truly treated them as subordinates, and even more so, as human beings.
“We understand.” The elite ninja prostrated himself once more. “From this day forward, the Bigfoot Ninja will follow you until the end of time.”
"I look forward to it." Damian swung his sword, and the blade swirled around him like mist before slowly disappearing.
