Chapter 1190 The Old Bat's Genes Are Too Powerful
The atmosphere in the room became strange after Damian finished speaking, and neither the Supreme Lord nor Damian spoke first.
"Gulp!" Ban 23 swallowed hard. He suddenly realized that his level was not only inferior to that of the Supreme Name, but also inferior to that of Damian, who was younger than him.
"If only my son had half of your abilities."
Finally, it was the Supreme Name who broke the silence first, and he let out a long breath and spoke.
"Tell me your plan, and what do you want in return?"
Damian's expression softened slightly. As long as the Supreme Lord was willing to talk, things would be fine. He was afraid that the latter would drive them away without saying a word.
"All you care about is your son and the reputation of the Supreme Ninja. This matter is actually easy to resolve. You just need to push everything onto us."
The Supreme Ninja snorted coldly and said irritably, "You have already laid out the whole truth in front of everyone, and now you still want me to be accused of favoring my own child and going so far as to slander you?"
“If we argue back, you will indeed be branded a villain,” Damian said expressionlessly. “But what if we simply admit it, or act like a group of truly bad people?”
"What do you mean?" the Supreme Name pressed.
Damian scoffed inwardly. He didn't believe that the Supreme Name was so shrewd that he couldn't understand what the Supreme Name meant. It was obvious that the latter wanted him to say everything to avoid leaving any room for gossip.
After all, Yang Le and Ban 23 had previously demonstrated their ability to control time, which was something even the Supreme Name had to be wary of.
"It's simple. We'll put on a show for you to reverse the reputation of the Supreme Ninja. You can attribute all the abilities we showed before to magic or something like that. I don't think I need to teach you that, right?"
"So what is the price?" The Supreme Name stroked his beard, he had begun to regard Damian as an adult.
“Make me the champion of this martial arts tournament.” Damian pointed to himself. “Or give me proof of your victory in the competition here, anything that can prove I won the championship.”
In Damian's view, this was simply a golden opportunity to get something for nothing, because he only needed to give up some reputation to get everything he wanted.
Besides, this reputation is nothing, since they won't be coming back. No matter how harsh the insults people in this universe hurl at them, they won't hear them. Say whatever you want.
"That's it?" The Supreme Name asked, puzzled. "Excuse me for being frank, but if we were to really cooperate, I wouldn't be able to help you erect a champion statue. At most, I could award you a trophy and a laurel wreath."
“Anything I can take with me and that can prove I won the championship is fine,” Damian nodded.
"Don't worry about why, just tell me if you agree or not?"
"This..." The Supreme Name hesitated for a moment. "Alright, I agree."
“When can I get them?” Damian asked.
“You can do it now.” The Supreme Name pointed to the corner of the room, where a table stood with a trophy that looked like it was made of jade on it, and next to the trophy was a green laurel wreath.
“These things were in my room until the end of the competition, and I was going to personally present them to the winner, but now they are yours.”
Damian approached the trophy and realized it was quite large; any bigger and it would be as big as his upper body. His pouch couldn't possibly hold such a massive thing. Reluctantly, he removed his cloak and packed the laurel wreath and trophy together inside.
Damian discovered while packing that the laurel wreath wasn't a real plant, but rather a jade artifact. It was surprisingly sturdy, so there was no need to worry about it breaking when placed next to the trophy.
"You trust me that much? Aren't you afraid I'll get what I want and then run away?"
When Damian asked him a question, the Supreme Name simply shook his head with a wry smile.
"To me now, these things are nothing but a pile of scrap metal. I used to focus on the warriors of other worlds, but I neglected the education of my own children."
"I've already made up my mind. After this matter is over, I probably won't be holding a martial arts tournament for a long time. How can I have the face to host a multiverse martial arts tournament if I can't even teach my own child properly?"
The Supreme Lord breathed a sigh of relief and continued, "Taking these things with you is doing me a favor. After all, even if you hadn't taken them, I would have smashed them anyway."
"Whether you will help me or not is no longer that important."
In the eyes of the Supreme Lord, it would be good if Damian and his men could really do as they said, and his son's reputation could be preserved.
But it's okay if he doesn't do it. If the building collapses, it can be rebuilt. A prodigal son who returns is more precious than gold. As long as he is willing to teach him with care, he can definitely make the Supreme Ninja a king who is even better than himself.
"Thank you for your trust." Damian called over Ban 23 and asked him, the one who had been watching the show, to help carry the bags.
Calling Ban 23 over was just to make a statement, since he was the main character in this matter, and only if he was willing to take the blame could this matter be discussed.
If only Damian comes, even if he pleads with the dying to bring him back to life, the Supreme Name probably won't agree.
"We'll probably be back at our current accommodation in about half an hour, and then leave here in ten minutes."
Damian got into the car made from the blocky gorilla of Class 23, and put his bundle in the truck bed. Luckily, the Supreme Daemon's room was big enough, otherwise it wouldn't have been able to fit the two of them.
"You can capture us then, and then recant your confession to the Supreme Ninja."
After saying that, Damian didn't give the Supreme Lord a chance to speak, and drove away in his block car. Anyway, he had already achieved his goal, and whatever choice the latter made was no longer his concern.
Moreover, he played a trick on the Supreme Lord, telling him that the time was fake.
In fact, Damian had already discussed everything with Yang Le and the others before he arrived. Apart from himself and Ban 23 who came to discuss with the Supreme Lord, everyone else had already gone to the exit to wait.
Even if the Supreme Lord turns against them and tries to capture them all, they will only end up empty-handed.
As for Damian and his companion who were in danger, as long as the Clock King had the Supreme Lord, he couldn't do anything to them, so it couldn't be considered putting themselves in danger at all.
Damian had planned everything in advance for this operation, and even Yang Le had to marvel once again at how powerful the old bat's genes were.
