Chapter 1167 The game is about to begin
After the Atem people searched the underground city, they found that the inhabitants had not engaged in production for at least a hundred years, and most of the instruments had not been used for at least a hundred years.
“Only a few devices are still usable.” Modo took the data transmitted by his companions. “Most of them are transportation facilities. Many sophisticated instruments are no longer usable. I don’t recommend activating them rashly before we understand the technology of the subterranean people.”
"In addition, there are no more bombs in the underground city, but we have found some of the teleportation slings that Cindy and the others mentioned. They were probably created by the underground people they were talking about later, to capture them."
“It seems we’ll have to try to figure it out ourselves.” Dr. Fucitold straightened up; he had been trying to change the crystal’s shape.
"Fortunately, we still have a lot of crystals in stock. We can use these small pieces of crystal to conduct tests until we get the same wavelength, and then use the Crystal Moon to send Yang and the others back."
Dr. Fuckey Todd exuded confidence, and everyone could recognize his confidence in his almost emotionless electronic voice.
"Before the experimental results are in, Yang, you can go out and have some fun. Trust me, it won't take much time. Even using the brute force method, it will only take a few days to test it."
Dr. Fucitold's confidence stemmed from the large group of Artemians who were just as intelligent as him, coupled with the quiet and fearless experimental environment. He believed that there was no problem he couldn't solve in this environment.
This suited Yang Le perfectly. It felt great to be a hands-off manager like this, and now he had time to go with Damian to participate in that martial arts tournament.
Two days passed so quickly, especially when everyone had something to do.
Just as Yang Le was preparing to go to the appointment with Damian, Splinter approached him.
"Mr. Yang, there is something I would like to discuss with you."
Cassandra followed behind Splinter. For the past two days, she had been training with him. Just as Splinter had said, he had nothing left to teach Cassandra in terms of technique, so he had been giving her academic lessons.
Martial arts, martial arts, learning martial arts is not just about fighting and being fierce. When you reach a certain level, you will naturally start to question your own fist. This is something that every martial arts master has gone through.
Just as Bruce Lee's understanding of martial arts was like water, Splinter also had his own understanding of martial arts. However, he only taught the general framework to his disciples who could reach that level, rather than instilling his own understanding into them.
Incidentally, only two disciples have reached this level: Leonardo and Cassandra.
Of the remaining three turtles, Raphael is too impulsive and lacks temperament. Donatello's mind is mostly not on martial arts, and Michelangelo, despite his talent, is too impulsive. Perhaps he will grow even more when he can calm down.
Splinter believed that simply feeding children was wrong. Children should learn to eat on their own after they have learned to use a knife and fork. Perhaps he could feed them until they were fat and strong, but that would be unhealthy.
“Cassandra has hit a roadblock, and I want to take her somewhere to broaden her horizons. It just so happens that there’s a friend of mine there who knows a bit about this multiverse and might be able to help you.”
Splinter had made it clear enough; he was obviously planning to take Cassandra to the place Damian was also going.
Although Damian didn't want to spread the word, Yang Le felt that since they would eventually meet, there was no need to hide it, so he told him everything on Damian's behalf. "Taking over the Foot Clan?" Splinter stroked his beard. "That's indeed a good idea. Rather than leaving them alone, it's better to bring them under one control to prevent them from causing any trouble later."
Splinter's answer surprised Damian, who had expected the latter to be as abhorrent to evil as a normal superhero.
Yang Le had guessed this. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are not like traditional superheroes. They are not inflexible guys. In both comics and animations, there have been instances where they team up with enemies.
Moreover, Damian was doing a good deed in a roundabout way. Although Splinter didn't trust the former, he trusted Yang Le, so the big rat stopped talking.
"So it seems we really are going to the same place. In my knowledge, there is only one place where the Multiverse Martial Arts Tournament is held, and that is the city of my old friend."
"I heard there's a martial arts tournament going on there today. Will you let Cassandra participate?"
Yang Le's tone sounded somewhat gloating, because he knew that even if Damian had the Soul Blade, he couldn't defeat Cassandra; weapons couldn't make up for the absolute gap in skill.
These past two days, he's also asked Leonardo to give Damian some pointers. This isn't last-minute cramming, but just to help him get used to the rhythm of the match.
“No, no.” Splinter shook his head. “Cassandra’s skills are top-notch. What she lacks now cannot be brought about by a competition. I’m just taking her around so she can see more.”
“You’ve lost a formidable enemy, kid.” Yang Le lightly tapped Damian on the head, but the latter rubbed it expressionlessly, completely ignoring Yang Le’s words.
Cassandra couldn't help but laugh at Damian's speechless expression. Splinter smiled kindly and then turned around to say something.
"Alright, let's go. If we go now, we should be able to make it in time for the start of the selection competition."
“I won’t be going with you.” Damian put on his mask. “I’ve already made plans with the Bigfoot ninjas, and besides, letting them see you might cause unnecessary trouble.”
“That makes sense,” Springer nodded. “Once we get to my friend’s place, where private duels are forbidden, we can clear up the misunderstanding.”
Splinter's only hatred was for Chrysler, and now that Chrysler was dead, he was happy to let the hatred go.
After all, having one more friend is definitely better than having one more enemy, especially when there's a whole group of them.
"Then let's meet up there." Yang Le waved goodbye to Damian, and then got into the same car with Splinter and drove away.
As for Damian, he watched Yang Le and the others leave before getting into another car prepared by the Atem and heading towards the Bigfoot Ninja Base.
The Atem people dug a tunnel underground in just two days. Although the tracks have not yet been laid, vehicles can already pass through.
