Chapter 1079 Erlang and the Demon of Despair

"My name is Erlang, and I am a mechanical butler who serves powerful warriors."

The robot, who called himself Erlang, bowed respectfully. Combined with his appearance, he did indeed look rather endearing and cute, like a character who should appear in a children's show in the morning.

However, no one at the scene underestimated the robot in front of them, after all, the teleportation technology it used was something that ordinary people could not possess.

"State your purpose, Tin Can," Shazam said, feigning ferocity, then turning to the red tornado behind him as if suddenly remembering something.

"Sorry, Tornado, but I wasn't targeting you on purpose."

Before the red tornado could reply, Erlang responded first.

“Earth’s superheroes are so rude.” Erlang shrugged and shook his head. “You uncouth fellows could never be a match for my master.”

"However, in order to maintain fairness, I still have to say a few things upfront."

Erlang raised his right arm and continued, "My master is the most powerful fighter in the universe. His purpose in coming to Earth is to defeat those powerful self-proclaimed superheroes on Earth, namely you."

After saying that, Erlang pressed the button on his right arm. The next second, four beams of light surrounded the entire Roosevelt Island in the shape of a pyramid. This sudden sight threw everyone into a panic, and the crowd instantly became noisy.

Fortunately, the people here were all elites from various fields. They did not panic and scatter. Instead, under the command of the army, they began to evacuate the venue in an orderly manner. Although they could not escape the venue for the time being, at least they could stay away from the robot.

Seeing this, Shazam exchanged a glance with the other three behind him. After receiving their consent, he quickly took off, flew over the robot in front of him, and headed towards the light screen closest to him.

Shazam assumed a punching stance in mid-air, and with a loud shout as he approached the light screen, his right fist slammed solidly into the crimson light screen. The earth-shattering power spread in all directions, but it had no effect on the light screen whatsoever.

Shazam shook his slightly sore fist and suddenly realized he should learn more magic, since he currently had two methods of attack.

One is a melee combat where bricks fly with great strength, and the other is Raikou helping me by hugging the enemy and shouting "Shazam!" But he can't use the second move against this wall.

Shazam's lightning doesn't strike from high above; it falls from directly above him, about two meters away. If the angle isn't right, the lightning will only hit him.

Shazam practiced it several times in private before daring to use it as a killing move in actual combat, otherwise he might accidentally hit himself and turn back into Billy Batson.

Seeing that Shazam was helpless, the red tornado rose to the same height as him and shot out two powerful whirlwinds, but it still couldn't do anything to the light screen in front of him.

"There's no need to waste our time," Erlang kindly advised. "With Earth's current level of technology, there's no way to open this octagonal cage."

"And you need not worry, as long as you can defeat my master, I will naturally unlock the octagon."

Upon hearing what Erlang said, Shazam immediately flew back to the latter's side, put his hands on his hips, and said.

"Oh? Then hurry up and call your master out. I can't wait to kick his ass."

“That’s why I said Earthlings are really crude.” Erlang shook his head helplessly, then pressed another button on his right arm, and a humanoid ball of light appeared beside it. The ball of light appeared quickly and dissipated even faster. After the light faded, a humanoid creature with a completely purple body and an extremely tall stature appeared before everyone’s eyes.

Billy was already quite tall after transforming into Shazam, but this alien was more than a head taller than him, probably around two meters tall, with bulging muscles all over his body that looked as solid as granite.

The most intriguing feature is the fin on the alien's head, which looks like a mohawk hairstyle on Earth, and there's also a strange wrinkle on its forehead.

Shazam was still examining the alien in front of him when he heard Erlang shout from the side.

"Now! The match begins!"

"boom!"

Before Shazam could react, the alien in front of him raised his leg and kicked him in the stomach. Before he could even feel the pain, Shazam was already flying hundreds of meters away and crashed into the light screen.

"Woo..."

Before Shazam could even cry out in pain, the alien's next attack came. This time, the distance gave him a chance to react. He endured the pain and kicked off the light barrier behind him with both legs to dodge the alien's punch.

"And you're talking about me? Attacking someone without warning is clearly even more despicable!"

Shazam retaliated verbally, and his hands followed suit. Taking advantage of the alien's moment of withdrawal, he raised his clasped hands high and then brought them down hard, landing directly on the alien's forehead.

The next second, the alien was blasted into the ground by Shazam. The immense force was transmitted from the alien's body in all directions, causing the ground nearby to be completely overturned and the ground in the distance to shake like an earthquake.

Before Shazam could even feel smug, the alien burst out of the smoke and punched him in the face. The punch made Shazam see stars and lose control of his flight, causing him to plummet towards the ground.

The aliens clearly weren't going to let Shazam go so easily. They were about to throw their left punch when a powerful whirlwind came from below them. To keep their balance, they had to give up their chance to attack.

The alien looked down and saw a red tornado stretching out its hands at him, with crimson whirlwinds constantly surging from its body.

The alien suddenly waved his hand, cutting off the whirlwind that was attacking him. Taking advantage of the brief vacuum, he turned around and kicked off the light screen with both feet, crashing into the red tornado like a cannonball.

Upon seeing this, the red tornado immediately increased its output. However, because it had only recently been repaired, its various stats were not yet properly adjusted, and its output was insufficient to stop the alien from afar.

The red tornado, lacking sufficient power, failed to stop the alien from reaching him. The alien grabbed him and slammed him to the ground, resembling a wrestling finishing move.

As the smoke cleared, the red tornado stood on the ground, sparks occasionally flashing from its body, while the alien stood up unharmed. Now, only Black Thunderbolt and Blue Demon remained in his way.

However, even the stronger Shazam and Red Tornado fell, leaving the remaining two as futile attempts to stop a chariot.
