Chapter 1048 Superboy VS Rival
Without Connor saying anything, Yang Le ran up behind the former in a few steps.

After seeing Yang Le run to a safe distance, Connor raised his arm, briefly gathered his strength, and then used his waist and abdomen to slam his fist into the armored door.

"boom!"

After a loud bang, the armored door, which had appeared to be a single piece, dented. Instead of retracting his arm that was stuck in the dent, Connor gripped the armored door tightly with his five fingers and pulled hard, tearing the armored door off.

Connor tossed the armored door aside, looked at his palm, and his eyes revealed undisguised excitement.

"Wait a while before marveling at your own power," Yang Le patted Connor on the shoulder, bringing the latter back from his own world.

"He possesses all the abilities of a Kryptonian, so he must have heard the commotion you just made. He should be here soon."

As if to confirm what Yang Le had said, Connor heard something approaching their two companions from the left, and he immediately pushed Yang Le aside.

The next second, the wall to Connor's left burst open with a loud bang, and a person almost identical to him burst in; presumably, this was his rival.
Before Connor could react, his opponent pounced on him, grabbing Connor's shoulders and slamming him against the wall.

The metal-reinforced wall was useless; the two crashed through it with a loud bang and disappeared into the tunnel.

After a brief push, Pidgey carried Connor out of the underground and then rushed straight into the sky.

Connor then came to his senses. He knew he couldn't just sit and wait to die, but with only 70% of his strength, he was no match for his opponent. However, with his considerable combat experience, he immediately thought of the ability he had recently acquired.

Connor's eyes widened, and after a brief accumulation, crimson light burst forth, striking Pidi's face directly. The scorching heat relentlessly burned Pidi, forcing even his steel-like body to loosen its grip.

Even when his opponent released his grip, Connor did not stop firing. It wasn't that he wanted to rely on one trick to succeed, but rather that he didn't know how to turn it off.

Connor once learned from his teammates that Superman couldn't turn off his heat vision at first, but later he discovered that he could turn it off by thinking about something cold.

'Think of cold things: ice cream, Antarctica, the Arctic, Batman's gaze.'

After going through all sorts of things in his mind, Connor finally turned off his heat vision, and during this time, he pushed his enemy to the ground, creating a large hole in the ground.

As expected of a complete Kryptonian, his unparalleled defense and regeneration can only be described as terrifying. Almost at the same time Connor turned off his heat vision, he launched another attack.

Connor was impressed by the opponent's speed, which rivaled that of flight. In the past, he would never have been able to keep up with the opponent, but now, with the super-powered bracelet, he had the ability to fight against the opponent.

As Connor saw his opponent charging straight at him, he immediately realized that the latter was different from his previous enemies; he truly had no brains and could only fight by relying on his physical abilities.

"boom!"

Faced with his opponent charging towards him, Connor straightforwardly threw out his own fist, and just as he expected, the opponent also threw a punch.

After a brief compression of the atmosphere, a teeth-grinding roar was heard, and the next second Connor was sent flying backward, tumbling several times in the air before coming to a stop.

Connor had barely regained his footing when his opponent attacked again. Knowing he couldn't fight head-on, Connor unleashed his heat vision once more.

This time, however, Pidgey was smarter, but only slightly. Instead of dodging, he followed Connor's example and unleashed his heat vision. The two crimson energies collided in mid-air, causing a massive explosion. Pidgey then burst out of the smoke, but Connor was nowhere to be seen.

"Sigh~~"

Pidge heard something amiss and turned around abruptly, only to see Connor's head slightly raised and his chest swell up.

"Hu~~"

Before his opponent could rush over, Connor exhaled all the air he had inhaled, and the biting cold wind instantly enveloped the opponent, freezing him into an ice sculpture in just a few seconds.

"Crack, click, click!"

Before Connor could catch his breath, his opponent was already about to break free of the seal, leaving Connor feeling helpless.

"Now I understand why Luthor hates Kryptonians."

Connor knew that if the fight continued like this, he would be the first to fall. The only way to defeat his opponent was to increase the power of his super bracelet to 100%.

However, Kang hasn't yet adapted to the various enhancements brought about by 100%; he needs to find a soundproof place.

Right now, there happens to be a place that can meet this requirement: the underground laboratory where Pidi was trapped before. Taking all factors into consideration, that place can definitely meet his needs.

Connor then changed his tactics, no longer giving his adversary a chance to get close. Instead, he made his way to the underground base while using his thermal vision to keep his adversary at bay and prevent him from being distracted by other things.

As the saying goes, the shortest distance between two points is a straight line. After using his X-ray vision to confirm the target, Connor crashed straight into the ground.

It was an obvious trap, but Pidi was brainless, so he naturally fell for it. Instead of trying to find another way out, he followed the path Connor had created and went right into it.

Just as Hanhan Pidi emerged from the tunnel, a fist the size of a clay pot landed squarely on his face, leaving him dizzy and disoriented for a moment.

With his fingers spread, Connor grabbed his rival's head and pulled him out of the tunnel, then used his free left fist to deliver a solid punch to the latter.

This blow caused the opponent's nose to bleed profusely, and Connor finally broke through the former's defense. The super-powered bracelet on his left wrist, which he had not yet retracted, still hadn't had time to turn off, and it clearly displayed a string of numbers.

100%!
Just as Connor had expected, Luther's underground laboratory did indeed have excellent soundproofing. However, because he had destroyed the main door and because he and his rival had dug many holes in the base, the soundproofing had dropped sharply.

But that's still better than being outside. Although there are still many voices trying to get into his ears, at least he can accept it.

Before his opponent could recover, Connor unleashed another series of punches, leaving the former like a punching bag to be manipulated.

Connor didn't stop firing until ten seconds later. In those ten seconds, he had already thrown hundreds of punches, and that was with his intention to suppress them; otherwise, the number would have skyrocketed.

Having withstood ten seconds of Connor's attacks, Pidi collapsed to the ground like a puppet that had lost control.
