Chapter 1005 Mother Box
The "ping, ping" sound emitted by the mother box is their language. DC is extremely meticulous in this regard. Other similar Apokolips or Neogene devices emit different sounds.

For example, the sound emitted by the Father Box is "ting, ting". That's right, in the DC Universe, besides the Mother Box that often appears in the public eye, there is something similar called the Father Box.

The two are essentially the same. The biggest difference is that the Mother Box was invented by Hyman, a scientist from the new primordial planet, and is a product of the new primordial planet.

The Father Box, on the other hand, was invented by Apokolips, the archenemy of the New Creator. The inventor of the Father Box was Mortara, a member of Darkseid's Dark Elite and Darkseid's former assistant.

The father box is generally described as looking like a dead mother box, and it is unknown whether Mortara actually killed a mother box to forge the father box.

Besides these two well-known 'boxes', there is also the Grandmother Box in the DC Universe, or you can call it the Grandma Box.

In addition, there's the Orphan Box, which sounds a bit hellish, but it does exist and sounds even more suitable for Batman than the Sub-Box.

Oh right, another well-known one is the Sub-Box, which Batman used to create his new Batsuit.

In short, the series of 'boxes' that expand from the mother box are all roughly the same in terms of capabilities; they are essentially all living supercomputers.

Normally, the 'boxes' will provide unlimited support to users, which stems from their love for users. That's right, the 'boxes' all love their users, which is why they are said to be alive.

Just now, Viking had barely asked his question when the Mother Box immediately provided an answer after searching the area. Based on the Mother Box's answer, Viking shifted his gaze to the southwest.

"According to the information provided by the mother box, there are a large number of New Genesis Star technologies outside the city. They are very close to each other and should all be placed in one place."

"So, that place must be the enemy's lair."

Upon hearing the news, Xiong immediately became energetic, clenching his fists and making a cracking sound.

"That's perfect! We can take back all the New Genesis Star technology in one fell swoop and teach those thieves a lesson!"

Not everyone is like a bear, thinking things are so simple. Luna Rider Mark raised another question.

"Was that the only hiding place discovered? Weren't they found anywhere else?"

In response to Mark's question, the mother box, just like before, flickered on its surface circuit board for a while before emitting a "ping, ping" sound once again.

"The Mother Box says that no other areas were found to be affected by New Genesis Star Technology."

Viking translated the mother box's words to Yang Le, the only one present who couldn't understand, and then spoke to Mark.

"Don't rush, Mark. We've already caught a big fish. Let's deal with the immediate problem first, and then we can consider the next step."

Mark nodded, clearly agreeing with his captain's statement, and then, like everyone else, focused his attention on Yang Le.

"Mr. Yang Le, you are from Earth, so I'll need your guidance for this mission. May I ask what's in the southwest of this city?"

Yang Le lowered his head and thought for a moment. Actually, the locations of these virtual cities in DC's settings change in different universes, the most classic example being Metropolis and Gotham. In some works, Metropolis and Gotham are some distance apart, at least a distance that requires taking a plane to reach quickly.

In some works, however, Metropolis and Gotham are depicted as brother cities, separated only by a river and connected by a bridge, and only a ten-minute drive apart.

In recent years, some works have especially liked to use this setting. However, Yang Le noticed when reading the comic that this is a piece of information that is dispensable and depends entirely on whether the scriptwriter needs it for the plot.

If the writers deliberately mention it, then it means that this setting is very useful. If they don't mention it, then just treat this information as non-existent. Otherwise, you will think of a lot of bugs. This is the experience that Yang Le has accumulated over many years of watching American comics.

In this universe, Metropolis and Gotham City are indeed very close, separated only by the Gotham River.

"To the southwest, there is the Gotham River, and further south is Gotham City."

“Excuse me,” the Dreamer interrupted Yang Le. “May I use my ability on you? My ability is to project what I think in my mind. After all, we don’t understand Earth, so we won’t understand just by you talking.”

Yang Le nodded and did not refuse the beautiful dreamer's request. He had a certain understanding of the latter's abilities and knew that the other party's ability was not mind reading, but could only project what the mind was currently thinking.

With Yang Le's approval, the Dreamer used her ability. A pink light shone from the pink gem on her headband and shone on Yang Le's forehead. Then, like light refracting through glass, a pink light curtain shot out from Yang Le's forehead.

A map floated in the light screen; it was the map of Gotham and Metropolis that Yang Le had in mind, only a simplified version.

With Yang Le's modifications, the miniature maps of Gotham, Metropolis, and the Gotham River were labeled with their names, making it easier for the Eternals to understand.

Yang Le pointed to Metropolis and said, "We are in this city now. Gotham River and Gotham City are to the southwest."

Viking nodded, then aimed the Mother Box at the map. After a series of "ping, ping" sounds, two red rays shot out from the Mother Box and landed on the map.

“This red dot represents all of us.” Viking first pointed to the red dot on the Metropolitan map, then moved his finger to another red dot.

"And this is the place where the Mother Box found the New Genesis Star Technology."

Yang Le looked closely and found that the red dot landed exactly where the Gotham River was, almost in the middle of the river.

"No wonder no one noticed these guys; they've all hidden in the water."

Although Gotham River is called a river, it is actually connected to the Atlantic Ocean. Its depth and waves are not to be underestimated, so even some supervillains would not build their secret bases there.

"Now that we know where our target is, what are we waiting for?" Xiong rolled up his sleeves. "Let's get going!"

The rest of the Eternals agreed with Xiong's statement and were about to get into the supercar to leave when Yang Le stopped them.

"Don't rush. You should know that these thieves have the ability to steal technology from the new primordial star. I think they are more than just petty thieves."
