Chapters 547, 1010, and 1011 [The Mirror of the Demon Cauldron]: Reverse Mirror - Captain America?
"Yes, Banner, thank goodness you came back just in time..."

After the attack stopped, Tony Stark was finally able to get his armor up from the crater in the ground. However, he looked extremely disheveled. His armor was covered in damage, smoke and sparks were flying everywhere, and he walked with a limp like an old man.

He flipped open the slightly dented faceplate, looked at Bruce Banner, and couldn't help but tease him:

"Otherwise, the next time you see me, you'll probably be in the intensive care unit (ICU) or a junkyard."

Bruce Banner had no idea how to respond to the teasing, so he could only smile apologetically and then struggle to get up from Black Widow's soft, boneless embrace.

His eyes were initially somewhat dazed, but then quickly regained their clarity.

But as his gaze swept across the scene before him, he was instantly overwhelmed by immense guilt and pain.

First up is Tony Stark's iconic Mark 45 armor, which is in a terrible state. The chest plate is severely dented and deformed, covered with cracks, and the internal wiring and parts are faintly visible, with sparks occasionally flying out.

The head sensor was also shattered in large pieces, and the armor plates on the arms and legs were covered with deep dents and scratches left by Hulk's fists.

Large areas of the gold paint have peeled off, revealing the underlying silver-gray material, making the whole thing look incredibly messy.

In the distance, the streets he could see were a scene of apocalyptic devastation.

Within a radius of several hundred meters from their location, there was almost no intact building.

Shop windows were all shattered, walls were riddled with holes and cracks, and some were even partially collapsed.

The streets were riddled with potholes and ditches, and the twisted wreckage of cars was carelessly discarded and burned like children's toys.

The air was filled with the pungent smell of gunpowder, dust, gasoline, and blood.

Further away, citizens hiding behind ruins, behind vehicles, and even at the entrance to basements, were secretly watching them with terrified, fearful, and angry eyes...

And a dozen meters away, dozens of police officers, using police cars as cover, were extremely tense, their fingers tightly gripping the triggers, their gun barrels trembling slightly, yet they hesitated to fire...

And all of this was caused by 'him'.

Bruce Banner's face drained of all color in an instant, his lips trembled, and immense pain and self-blame nearly overwhelmed him.

He instinctively took a step back, as if he couldn't bear the weight of the gazes directed at him.

It looks like he's gotten into trouble again!

At this moment, Captain America stepped forward, glanced warily at the growing crowd and increasingly tense police officers around him, and was about to say something when he inadvertently noticed a fleeting red light on the top of a building a few hundred meters away.

"Um?!"

Captain America instinctively looked in that direction and vaguely saw two blurry figures standing on the top of the building.

However, due to the great distance, even he could not accurately distinguish whether the two 'people' were bystanders or news professionals who were filming or live-streaming.

After waiting a few seconds and seeing that the red light did not reappear, Captain America shook his head and ignored it, turning his gaze back to the group in front of him. He spoke in a deep voice, reminding them:

"Hey guys, this isn't the place to talk. We should get going. Leave the rest to the Stark Rescue Foundation and S.H.I.E.L.D."

His gaze swept over Tony Stark's damaged armor, Bruce Banner's weakened state and the imminent collapse of his spirit, and the exhausted Black Widow, before he added in a grave tone:

"We must find a safe place immediately to reassess the situation and discuss our next steps..."

"Although Ultron has successfully obtained what he wanted, we must stop him no matter what... before he causes even greater disaster!!"

A dozen minutes later, the sun finally sank completely below the horizon.

Night falls.

Darkness, like a gaping maw of an abyss, slowly swallowed up the scarred city and the heroes whose futures were uncertain!
But Captain America and his crew, who were already on their way back, had no idea that in the process of trying to dissuade Hulk, they had unknowingly fallen into another new and even more dangerous trap designed by Ultron.

Let's rewind a little over ten minutes...

Just as Captain America, Black Widow, and Tony Stark, dressed in Mark 45 armor, were comforting Bruce Banner, who had regained his human form, on the streets of Tucson.

A few hundred meters away from them, on the top of a building, stood silently at the edge of the rooftop, dressed in an exquisitely tailored black suit and with a face as pale as a vampire.

His crimson eyes, like those burning embers of hell, were now intently fixed on something before him.

It was a mirror—

A bizarre bone mirror that is absolutely not of this world, and which would send chills down one's spine even if one only glanced at it from afar.

It is about two meters tall and half a meter wide, quietly suspended a few inches above the ground, as if defying gravity.

The frame is not made of ordinary wood or metal, but is carefully pieced together from countless twisted, tangled, and painfully struggling human skeletons.

These skeletons are of various shapes and sizes, including finger bones, ribs, and skulls. These fragments are forcibly fused together in a way that violates anatomy, forming a complex and blasphemous relief pattern, as if recording the ultimate suffering of countless victims.

Some bones even had dried, blackened skin and flesh tissue and strands of withered hair still attached to them, emitting a faint stench of decay...

At the top of the frame is the most horrifying part of the entire mirror—two white skeletal arms, twisted from thin arm and finger bones, seem to be struggling to emerge from the depths of the frame, holding up a complete, grinning human skull.

Deep within the eye sockets of that skull, two clusters of eerie green light, like will-o'-the-wisps, flickered, as if the mirror possessed its own consciousness and was greedily peering into the real world before it.

The mirror itself is not the usual transparent glass.

It has a viscous, thick, and constantly slightly wriggling blood-red color!

It was as if a layer of fresh blood, freshly drawn from a human vein and not yet congealed, had been forcibly bound within a frame by some evil magic.

Even when light shines on it, it is not reflected at all, but rather swallowed up.

Ripples occasionally spread across the blood-red mirror's surface, as if something were breathing beneath it, creating subtle yet chilling fluctuations. This is the [Mirror of the Demon Cauldron].

One of the evil artifacts that has been treasured by Mephisto, the Lord of Hell.

"Are you sure this mirror... will still be effective at this distance?"

From the loudspeaker of a steel mech standing not far behind [Blackheart Demon], came the question from 'Ultron'.

For 'Ultron', its consciousness can move freely through networks and all connected mechanical entities, like a cyber ghost.

Each steel mech is essentially a clone of it.

So even though its 'main body' has already left the city in the [Mark44 Mini Gundam Armor], it can still observe the situation here in real time through this 'clone'.

Upon hearing this, the Blackheart Demon revealed a twisted and arrogant sneer on his pale, almost transparent face.

He didn't turn around. Instead, he stretched out his hands, with sharp nails and equally pale skin, and gently stroked the cold, piercing bone patterns on the glasses frame as if caressing a lover. His fingertips traced the protruding jawbones that seemed to be screaming silently, and a look of pleasure and greed appeared on his face.

"This mirror? Heh..." The voice of [Blackheart Demon] was filled with a hoarse mix of mockery and fanaticism, and he immediately corrected:
"Please, my dear [Ultron], haven't I described to you in detail the mesmerizing power of this [Mirror of the Cauldron] before?!"

He slowly turned his head, his scarlet eyes glancing at the steel mech behind him, as if he were looking at a bumpkin who didn't know how to appreciate a priceless treasure.

"I must remind you, for the sake of our cooperation, you'd better put away your ridiculous doubts!"

A condescending sense of superiority appeared on the face of the Blackheart Demon as he gently patted the Mirror of the Demon Cauldron. "It's not a simple 'tool' that your mechanical creations can understand, much less a strangely shaped room decoration in the eyes of humans..."

"This is one of the most prized possessions that old man Mephisto owns, and one of the things he's most proud of!"

"As long as the target has looked directly at it within its effective range, even if it is only a subconscious glance, the imprint of its soul will be stolen and stripped away by it... and then, a perfect 'reflection' will be born from this [Magic Cauldron Mirror]!"

He raised his hand and pointed to the blood-red mirror surface that was rippling slightly. "And this mirror image will not only gather the target's most extreme strengths, but also imprint the deepest, most hidden weaknesses and traumas in his heart that he is most unwilling to face!"

"Simply put, this mirror image is a deadly thing forged from the most unique pain and trauma in human life!"

At this point, [Blackheart Demon] couldn't help but laugh smugly, revealing two rows of sharp, white teeth:

"If it weren't for the story you taught me, which cleverly exploited that old man Mephisto's greed and suspicion, and successfully deceived him... how could he have been willing to temporarily 'lend' me this precious mirror that he usually wouldn't even let me touch?"

As they spoke, the Blackhearted Demon gradually lost his smile, and his expression became focused and sinister.

"Now, let's witness the power of the [Mirror of the Demon Cauldron] together!!" He took a deep breath, as if absorbing the thin negative energy in the surrounding air.

Then he raised his hands and placed his palms against the constantly writhing blood-red mirror.

He slowly channeled the wisps of pitch-black dark energy, exuding an aura of absolute death, from his fingertips into the [Demon Cauldron Mirror].

hum...

The skull at the top of the glasses suddenly blazed with eerie green flames in its eye sockets!
The blood-red mirror surface seemed to boil violently instantly, as if hot blood had been poured into it with a red-hot iron.

The viscous, blood-red liquid churned and bubbled wildly, emitting a faint but chilling "gurgling" sound, as if countless wronged souls were wailing incessantly within the mirror.

The evil aura emanating from the blood-red mirror suddenly intensified several times, making the temperature of the surrounding air seem to drop several degrees.

Seeing this, Blackheart adjusted the mirror's orientation, pointing it towards Captain America, who was several hundred meters away, trying to calm the crowd and control the Hulk's destructive range.

Almost the instant the mirror locked on, Captain America in the distance seemed to suddenly sense something, abruptly turning his head. His wary blue eyes, like the most accurate radar, instantly pierced through hundreds of meters and accurately captured the eerie mirror on the rooftop emitting an ominous red light.

In that instant, his gaze made brief but fatal contact with the surface of the [Magic Cauldron Mirror]!

"Hehe, they've taken the bait..."

[Blackheart Demon] let out a sinister laugh of triumph, and the dark energy he was channeling from his hands suddenly increased. The energy was no longer in the wisps and strands of the past, but rather flowed like a black stream, surging into the boiling mirror.

At the same time, he began chanting ancient and blasphemous hellish incantations, his voice low and seductive, each syllable seemingly hooked, capable of ripping a human soul from their body:

"The Mirror of the Demon Cauldron, framed by bones and veiled by blood, hovers between reality and illusion..."

"Heed my call, fulfill your covenant..."

"Steal the truest imprint of the soul of the fool who dares to look you in the eye..."

"Twist it! Turn it upside down! Strip away goodness and light, magnify darkness and shadow..."

"Let those reflections born of trauma and weakness serve my purpose! Let them become the sharp blade in my hand!!!"

Buzzing--! ! !
The moment the incantation was completed, the [Mirror of the Demon Cauldron] emitted a violent tremor and hum, like a heartbeat.

All the skeletons on the frame seemed to come alive, making a "click-clack" rubbing sound.

The skull at the top opened its jaws wide, emitting a silent shriek.

The boiling, blood-red mirror surface suddenly collapsed inward, forming a rapidly spinning blood-red vortex!
Then, under the fanatical gaze of [Blackheart Demon] and the cold stare of 'Ultron's' clone, an arm covered in the familiar blue, red, and white Stars and Stripes battle uniform suddenly emerged from the blood-red vortex, followed by a shoulder, torso, and legs...

A tall, muscular figure stepped steadily out of the blood-red mirror, as if crossing an invisible threshold, and onto the cold concrete floor of the rooftop.

At this moment, time seemed to have frozen.

If any member of the Avengers or an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. were here, they would be utterly stunned by what they saw, speechless with shock, and might even doubt their own eyes.

Because the figure that just stepped out of the Mirror of the Cauldron was exactly the same as Captain America Steve Rogers, who was hundreds of meters away, in terms of height, build, appearance, and even the classic combat suit he wore and the iconic vibranium shield on his back!
