Chapters 509, 934, and 935: Devouring [Pioneer Civilization]
No blue sky!
No white clouds!
There were no sun, moon, or stars...
The sky was shrouded in an eternal, oppressive, dusky yellow.
Thick, wave-like clouds rolled and hung low, obscuring the light of any star. Only wisps of sickly orange-yellow light pierced through the gaps in the clouds, barely illuminating the earth below.
But the land was also a desolate and barren landscape.
As far as the eye can see, there is an endless expanse of weathered rocks with various eerie yellowish-brown hues.
There are no rivers!
There are no lakes!
There are no forests!
There wasn't even a single patch of green vegetation!
The dry, cold air carried a faint, pungent odor, like a mixture of rusted metal and rotting organic matter.
But what is most striking are the colossal buildings standing on this desolate land.
They are not the kind of skyscrapers that humans are familiar with.
Instead, they are strange buildings, each at least a thousand meters high, with the main building surrounded by rings of unknown devices resembling mechanical gears.
The towers of these 'gear towers' appear to be made of some kind of biomass material similar to the skin of the Kaiju.
The surface is covered with large, undulating channels like blood vessels, and constantly opening and closing 'windows' that resemble breathing holes.
The gear-like devices that slowly rotate around the tower, each with a diameter of over a kilometer, turn slowly and silently... just like giant bearings supporting this world that is about to perish.
Inside the vast space of these giant gear structures, one can vaguely see various Kaiju embryos or semi-finished products immersed in huge fluorescent culture media, looking like parts waiting to be assembled on an assembly line.
This is the headquarters of the Pioneers, where they created the Kaiju, the ultimate biological weapon to destroy Earth—the Pioneer Planet, Anteverse.
"Roar……"
Godzilla let out a low, disgusted roar, clearly feeling instinctively repulsed by its surroundings.
The 'Symbiotic King Kong' grinned, revealing a ferocious and excited smile as it opened its gaping maw covered by the deep blue symbiote.
Reaching out a hand into the symbiote flowing in his arm, as if reaching into a dimensional pocket, he pulled out several fist-sized, strange crystals that shimmered with a deep light and seemed to contain nebulae flowing inside.
It was none other than the [Subspace Crystal] that Karl had given it before his departure.
[King Kong] lightly weighed it in his hand, then used two fingers like tweezers to 'pinch' a [Subspace Crystal], and swung his arm violently as if throwing a stone!
Whoosh...whoosh whoosh...whoosh whoosh whoosh!!
Several [Subspace Crystals] transformed into dazzling meteors, shooting off in different directions from the planet... above the largest 'Gear Towers', in the center of a vast wasteland, and towards orbital points near the planet's equator.
These [subspace crystals] did not fall to the ground after flying a certain distance, but instead hovered directly in mid-air in a manner that defied the laws of gravity.
Their surface light suddenly became incredibly dazzling, and inside it seemed as if countless stars were spinning and collapsing wildly, releasing powerful energy fluctuations at the same time.
An invisible energy fluctuation, so powerful that it shook the very space, spread rapidly from these [subspace crystals] like ripples on a calm lake.
When all the [Subspace Crystals] are lit up and connected, they become powerful spatial anchors, beginning to establish hyperdimensional links with [Subspace] in another dimension!
"hold head high--"
"Roar--"
The arrival of the symbiote King Kong and Godzilla has clearly alarmed the planet's inhabitants.
A piercing roar and a hostile screech echoed from the depths of several massive 'gear towers' around them.
Immediately afterwards, the ground shook!
Dozens of ferocious, level-five Kaiju beasts, exuding a menacing aura, burst forth from different building passages, charging towards the Symbiote Kong and Godzilla with a brutal, crushing force.
Meanwhile, a group of advanced alien life forms, whose appearances resembled the Xenomorphs, with bodies that were a hybrid of upright insects and Xenomorphs, long, crown-like heads, and small, opalescent eyes reminiscent of sharks, and whose faces were covered by a translucent membrane, appeared at the top of each of the 'Gear Towers'.
They are the masters of Antwerp—the Pioneers!!
All the [Pioneers] belong to the [Pioneer Civilization], a highly aggressive alien colonization species that prefers to reproduce and thrive by constantly conquering the planets of other civilizations.
The races of the [Pioneer Civilization] can be roughly divided into three levels, from lowest to highest:
[Ambassador level]
[Cardinal]
[Bishop level]!
The method for distinguishing these three levels of "Precursors" is somewhat similar to that of "Aliens": the larger the crown on their heads, the higher the corresponding level of "Precursors".
As colony beings, the Pioneer Civilization possesses extremely advanced 'black technologies' such as toxicology and chemistry, biological mutation cloning technology, and space wormhole technology.
After selecting a target, a "wormhole" can be built to "bridge" the abandoned planet that has been completely eroded by them to the target planet thousands of light-years away.
Then, they would launch a stealthy infiltration attack from within the target planet.
Their method of invasion involves using their own genes, along with toxicology and biological mutation technology, to clone giant biological weapons of various forms, each laced with potent toxins, capable of altering the target planet's current ecological environment and causing mass extinction events—the Kaiju!
In this process, the higher the level of the [Pioneer], the greater the strength, size, and toxicity of the cloned [Kaiju].
Over the past few millennia, the Pioneer Civilization has successfully conquered one inhabited planet after another through this simple and brutal method of colonization.
Right now, the dozen or so Kaiju that are charging towards the Symbiote Kong and Godzilla are all Level 5 Kaiju created by Cardinal-level Pioneers! The Pioneer Civilization, which has never been invaded before, is determined to teach these two audacious behemoths a lesson.
After killing them, their corpses were used as valuable experimental samples to improve and create even more powerful new Kaiju!
However, before those level 5 Kaiju could even reach the Symbiote King Kong and Godzilla, a sudden change occurred!
The entire space... no, it should be said that the entire space where the planet is located suddenly trembled.
An indescribable, powerful force that transcends the laws of physics, like a colossal hand reaching out from the heavens by the Creator, successfully broke free from the constraints of the physical universe and enveloped the entire planet Antwell!
The twilight sky, the barren land, the countless gear towers, and the Kaiju army rushing towards King Kong and Godzilla... everything on this planet was forcibly imprisoned and stripped away at this moment.
Even the planet's own rotation and revolution were affected!
The next second, absolute darkness descended!
But it was not the darkness before night, but an absolute nothingness where even the concepts of time and space were blurred and invalidated.
When the pioneers standing on the 'Gear Tower' regained their 'vision', they were immediately plunged into unprecedented panic and chaos upon seeing their surroundings.
"Damn it, where am I? The coordinates are distorted, and the spatial parameters are invalid?!"
"The gravitational constant has disappeared, and the laws of physics have collapsed..."
"Where...where are we?!"
"Could it be that [Antwell Star] has been moved?!"
Countless terrified and chaotic bioelectric waves were frantically transmitted between their crowns.
More and more pioneers are stepping out of the laboratory, standing on huge observation platforms, or looking out into the world through biological screens.
However, what they saw was a bizarre and grotesque scene that was completely incomprehensible to them at present.
The sky was no longer a perpetual dusky yellow, but was replaced by an indescribable, ever-changing, distorted color, like a spilled bucket of paint, full of bizarre and ever-shifting hues.
The earth still exists, but it has changed.
In the distance stand four towering palaces that seem to reach into the clouds. Their appearance is sometimes close at hand and sometimes thousands of miles away, as if the space they inhabit is constantly stretching, folding, and breaking apart... just like being in a huge and crazy kaleidoscope.
But what terrified the Pioneers the most was that time itself had lost its meaning in this space... no, perhaps it should be said that it no longer existed!
In an area shrouded in blue light, a Kaiju that had stumbled in was aging rapidly at a visible speed, as if decades or centuries had passed in a mere second.
Before it could even break out of that area, its enormous body had already turned to dust and scattered with the wind.
What these pioneers didn't know was that this was a subspace, a reflection of the material universe, a graveyard of the laws of physics...
"Welcome to my [Warning Space], engineers from [Antville]."
Just then, a calm, gentle voice, yet imbued with supreme majesty, seemed to possess some kind of magical power, directly transcending the language barrier between species and clearly conveying its meaning into the minds of those "pioneers."
Above a distorted play of light and shadow, several figures appeared out of thin air, like gods looking down upon the mortal world.
The leader was, of course, Karl.
He sat leisurely on Khorne's Brass Throne, a hint of amusement playing on his lips.
Those dark eyes slowly swept over the panicked Pioneers below, as if admiring a flock of frightened birds trapped in a cage.
Beside Karl stood five imposing figures emanating a terrifying aura that sent shivers down the spines of the entire Warp: Slaanesh, Khorne, Nurgle, Tzeentch, and the Emperor, clad in golden armor.
The ever-changing forms of the Slaanesh, regardless of which body they possess, are all alluring and seductive to the extreme.
She exudes a sweet, suffocating aura and an intoxicating illusion that is impossible to escape. Even a glimpse of her silhouette is enough to drive the weak-willed to utter madness!
Meanwhile, Khorne, whose body was filled with burning blood flames, was clad in massive brass armor, and the blood-red giant axe in his hand, which seemed capable of splitting a planet in two, was dripping with blood that would never dry.
He is the embodiment of war, formed from pure bloodlust!
Kindness, decay, boundless vitality... [Nurgle] seems to be the ultimate combination of these words.
His enormous, mountain-like body radiated an all-encompassing "compassion." His mere presence was enough to cause the giant, bizarre fungi and pustules that emitted a sweet, fishy smell to sprout on the bodies of the [Pioneers] below, causing them to groan and frolic in the endless cycle of life and death!
Tzeentch's body, composed of countless ever-changing feathers, burning scrolls, and twisted tentacles, changes shape every second. Countless eyes, gleaming with cunning light, open and close on his body, as if containing all the conspiracies and knowledge of the universe.
The very existence of the "Master of All Changes" is precisely the ultimate mockery of logic and reason!
Among the five figures, the most eye-catching was undoubtedly the giant golden figure, the Emperor, clad in dazzling golden power armor and wielding the Emperor's Sword, which burned with psychic flames.
His existence was like a lighthouse in the darkness, radiating a pure, intense, and unquestionable light of order, forming a stark and eerie contrast with the chaotic aura of the four Chaos Gods around him.
His gaze was as cold as a star, scrutinizing the alien civilization below without a trace of emotion.
The five Chaos Gods, each representing one of the five distinct ultimate powers existing in the Warp, have gathered here at this moment because of Karl's will.
“Ho ho ho—!!!”
Those level-five Kaiju that were forcibly brought into the [subspace], despite their low intelligence, instinctively sensed an unprecedented and immense threat.
They abandoned their charge against King Kong and Godzilla, instead letting out a frantic roar towards the Brass Throne, as if making a final, desperate struggle.
However, their roars, like drops of water thrown into a boiling oil pan, instantly ignited the group of warp demons behind Karl who were already somewhat unable to restrain themselves.
No, who gave you the courage to be so presumptuous in front of the Boss and the Five Gods?
Seeing this, Karl smiled slightly, his voice like a war horn: "Be careful not to kill those pioneer engineers. I'm very interested in the technology in their heads."
Just as Strickland had previously guessed, Carl sent King Kong and Godzilla to the wormhole in order to obtain the advanced bioengineering technology used by the Precursors to create the Kaiju.
As for the [Biowormhole technology], it held little appeal for Karl, who possessed the more convenient and efficient [Space Stone].
After the recent test, Karl has confirmed that with his current power and authority, combined with the enhancement of the Space Stone, he can completely devour the entire planet Antwerp into the subspace dimension.
However, since Antwell is an abandoned planet with depleted resources and no value, Karl chose to only transfer all the 'Gear Towers' and 'Pioneers' over there.
