This actor is full of tricks.

Chapter 416 Sufficient Preparation

To prevent the spider from being scared away again, Lin Jue put on the gentlest expression he had ever worn and waved to it: "Hello, we've met before."

"Although my appearance has changed, I believe you should still remember my scent."

“Perhaps you’d like to talk to her.” With that, he released He Wen. Last time, Bi Zheng and Spider talked, and the two seemed to get along quite well. This time, Bi Zheng was still absorbing the resentment of that A-level creature, so he planned to have He Wen persuade Spider properly.

Both are children of the mist, so they'll definitely have better communication.

The spider's gaze settled on He Wen, its eyes filled with the joy of encountering one of its own kind. Lin Jue took in this subtle emotion and coughed lightly, "I came to see you this time because we haven't finished talking about what happened last time. How about this, you two talk first?"

He prepared to leave to give He Wen Spider some space, and before leaving, he patted the little girl on the shoulder: "Have a good chat."

After saying that, he leaned close to He Wen's ear and whispered, "He seems quite lonely. Start by getting close to his friends and family."

"I know, isn't this your old trick?" He Wen replied expressionlessly, leaving Lin Jue wondering if she was joking or not.

"I meant it sincerely, it wasn't some kind of trick." Lin Jue walked out the door and gently closed it behind him.

He said he was giving Spider He Wen some space to talk, but as soon as the door closed, he pressed himself against the door panel, eavesdropping on the sounds inside.

"Boss, didn't you say to let them talk to each other?" Blood Shadow was very disgusted by Lin Jue's behavior.

Lin Jue replied with a matter-of-fact expression, "That's what I said, but I didn't say I didn't eavesdrop."

"How shameless." Aside from Ah Jing, who always obeyed Lin Jueyan's every word, all the other strange creatures inside the raincoat made disgusted noises.

"What are you saying? Your voice is so soft, I can't hear a word." Lin Jue twisted and turned on the door, constantly adjusting the position of his ears.

About half an hour later, He Wen came out of the room. He nodded silently to Lin Jue, indicating that he wanted to talk to you again.

"Thank you for your hard work." Lin Jue tucked He Wen into his raincoat, then pushed open the door and went inside.

The spider had already climbed down from the ceiling, its eight legs coiled around the bed. It looked at Lin Jue without saying a word, but the previous wariness in its eyes was gone.

It's clear that He Wen and he had a very pleasant conversation.

Lin Jue moved a chair and sat down opposite Spider, breaking the silence in the room: "You saw that little girl just now. I suppose you have painful memories that you can't bear to look back on, just like her. But she has moved on from the past and is getting along very well with me and a group of friends."

"Actually, it's not just her, but many more of your kind. They trust me and follow me, and I consider them family."

“I heard everything… from her…” Spider finally spoke, his eyes darting left and right as he spoke, his tone very much like Wang Tianshu’s.

This is a very introverted ghost, a lone ghost, and you can see from his eyes that he longs for companions and friends.

The Child of the Mist in Lin Jue's backpack was of the same kind as him, and they were interconnected, which was why Spider agreed so quickly. He had been locked up in the hotel for too long, feeling lonely.

“I…I can agree to your conditions, but I have one…one request.” Spider spoke slowly: “I want to come back when those two buildings outside are finished.”

"Why? You want to take the blame for that boss?" Lin Jue frowned slightly. He didn't understand why such a powerful monster would willingly serve the hotel owner.

“Yes, I want to repay your kindness.” The spider nodded.

Repay a favor?

In the later part of Spider's story, Lin Jue finally learned the reason: before Spider's death, he had been a poor student sponsored by the hotel owner, who continued to support him until he went to university.

According to Spider, the hotel owner used to be a very kind person, but she later contracted lupus, which caused her personality to change drastically. Because the treatment required a lot of money, she began to only care about money and not people.

Lin Jue didn't have any particular reaction after hearing this. He didn't have a good impression of the hotel owner, but the owner had indeed done Spider a favor, so he respected Spider's idea.

“Okay, I’ll bring you back after those two buildings are repaired.” Lin Jue agreed, and Spider crawled into the raincoat without hesitation.

So far, Lin Jue already has four Children of the Mist in his raincoat, including three A-rank ones. If Bi Zheng breaks through again, there will be a total of four A-rank ones.

This setup is undeniably luxurious. If he wanted to cause trouble, unless the King intervened, no one could stop him.

He planned to leave the hotel first and find a suitable place to talk, so he could ask Spider about the mental hospital.

Reaching the top of the stairs, Lin Jue looked at the still unconscious hotel owner, sighed, turned around and went back to his room to get paper and pen. He wrote down the fact that he had temporarily taken Spider away. After going downstairs, he told the front desk about the hotel owner's inexplicable fainting and hurriedly left the hotel.

Things are going very well, all preparations are complete, and now all that's left is to wait for the Souls Festival.

Lin Jue accepted the script for "Renfu". This script did not give him any role, props or plot. It was a documentary that recorded the scene of the collapse of order when the bloody night fell.

"There are no more tickets left for today. Now that we have Spider, there's no need to take a taxi anymore. Let's find a small hotel to rest for the night and ask Spider about the hospital."

Lin Jue first went to the station to buy a ticket to Quming for the next morning, then found a random motel nearby and booked a room. He locked the door and released the spider.

The spider's enormous body almost filled the entire room, staring blankly at Lin Jue standing in the corner, seemingly wondering why he had been released.

“That wasn’t a good place to talk. It’s better to talk here, but please keep your voices down, as the room isn’t very soundproof.” Lin Jue gently patted the spider’s leg and took out the medical record from his pocket: “Here, this is yours. Now it’s back to its rightful owner.”

Spider took the medical record, looking somewhat dazed, his eyes filled with pain and struggle. Lin Jue patted his thigh and comforted him, "I know about that hospital. The doctors there are using patients and monsters to conduct human experiments. You must have gone through a very painful time there. If you're willing, I can be a good listener."
