Chapter 755 The evil guest comes to the door
Turning the corner, the "Nighttime Photo Studio" in the night, like a forgotten old painting, quietly came into Gao Dongxu's view.

He didn't stop walking, but a subtle, enigmatic smile curved his lips. His empty hand seemed to coalesce with the darkness of night, and in the next instant, an exquisite eagle-headed cane appeared.

The cane twirled lightly between his fingers, and his eagle eyes gleamed coldly in the moonlight, gazing ahead as if they were alive.

He stopped in front of the old, weathered door of the photo studio, which exuded a faint, almost imperceptible, chilling aura.

Gao Dongxu flipped his left hand, and the ghost seal, a dark green color, appeared out of thin air. He firmly imprinted the ghost seal in the center of the door panel, and circulated his spiritual energy, urging the vast yin energy contained within the ghost seal.

At the same time, the door was pushed open, and the door slid inward silently, revealing a deep corridor behind it.

The corridor is flanked by old wooden windows, but behind the paper windows, instead of ordinary lights, there are eerie green and purple glows that intertwine to create a hazy and mysterious light and shadow, as if it were a passage to another dimension.

A faint scent of sandalwood mixed with the odor of paper ash filled the air. Gao Dongxu smiled slightly, a knowing glint in his eyes. This photo studio, catering only to ghosts, truly existed in the liminal space between the realms of the living and the dead.

Without any hesitation, he flipped his hand to put away the Ghost Seal and stepped inside. The door behind him closed automatically the moment he entered, isolating him from the outside world.

The corridor was silent except for the soft tapping of his heels on the floor and the shifting light and shadows through the windows on either side.

He strolled leisurely, as if walking in his own courtyard, rather than in a strange passage connecting the yin and yang realms.

At the end of the corridor, the view suddenly opens up. A brightly lit hall, decorated with an extremely elegant and retro style, comes into view.

Soft, warm light streamed from the classic chandelier, illuminating the spotless old furniture, the many black-and-white or sepia-toned old photographs hanging on the walls, and the large, antique-looking camera covered in black velvet at the edge of the hall, creating a tranquil and solemn atmosphere.

A young man dressed in a well-tailored, impeccably styled dark suit and wearing sophisticated black-rimmed glasses stood in the center of the hall, intently wiping a camera lens.

He sensed the presence and looked up. Upon seeing Gao Dongxu, he immediately adopted a professional and solemn demeanor, bowing slightly and speaking in a tone with a certain ancient rhythm: "Welcome, Mr. Ghost Guest—"

However, before he could finish speaking, a young man with brown permed hair and a slightly lively demeanor, who was adjusting the backdrop next to him, suddenly looked up. Upon seeing Gao Dongxu, his expression changed drastically, and he exclaimed in surprise, "Wait! You, you're not...? I'm sorry, sir! This is not a place for you. Please leave immediately!"

His voice carried obvious surprise and urgency, and he even subconsciously took a step forward, making a gesture of obstruction.

Gao Dongxu didn't care about being driven away. He scanned the hall with interest, his gaze finally settling on the man with brown permed hair. With that calm smile still on his lips, he said in fluent English, "Sir, you must be the owner of this photo studio, right?"

Upon hearing this, Xu Jizhu, the seventh-generation successor of the photography studio, frowned imperceptibly. He carefully examined Gao Dongxu. The other party's aura was refined; although not a ghost, he was certainly not the bewildered and ignorant ordinary intruder. His unfathomable eyes clearly carried a definite purpose.

A slight alarm bell rang in his mind, but he maintained basic courtesy on the surface, responding in English as well, his voice steady yet distant: "Yes, my name is Xu Jizhu. May I ask what brings you here?" He had already basically concluded that the visitor was not there with good intentions.

Gao Dongxu calmly placed the eagle-headed cane on the ground, crossed his hands on the top of the cane, and his posture was as elegant as that of a collector who came to visit an art gallery.

"I happened to hear that there is a photography studio in this world that serves ghosts. I was so curious that I came to see for myself and broaden my horizons." His tone was relaxed, as if it was really just a spur-of-the-moment thing.

Xu Jizhu's gaze grew increasingly solemn. Meeting Gao Dongxu's gaze, he spoke calmly yet with an undeniable conviction: "We are simply taking the last photo of those who had strong obsessions and unfulfilled wishes in life, to help them fulfill their desires and pass away peacefully. At the same time, it is also to resolve their obsessions and prevent the deceased from lingering with resentment and ultimately becoming vengeful spirits that harm others."

"Tsk tsk tsk," Gao Dongxu shook his head and chuckled, his tone carrying a hint of playful admiration, "Resolving obsessions and guiding departed souls to the afterlife? Sounds like Boss Xu is quite a good person..."

Before his laughter had even faded, his gaze suddenly shifted to the meticulously maintained antique camera on the side of the hall, a hint of undisguised interest flashing in his eyes. He strode towards the camera, chuckling, "So, this must be the magical camera that can take pictures of ghosts?" Seeing Gao Dongxu walk straight towards the camera, Xu Jizhu's face darkened. He immediately stepped in front of him, his tone turning icy and carrying a warning: "Sir! This is not a place for you. Please leave immediately—" He spread his arms, his guarded stance blatantly obvious.

Gao Dongxu finally stopped, smiling as he looked at Xu Jizhu, who seemed to be facing a formidable enemy, as if the other's intense reaction was exactly what he had expected. "Why is Mr. Xu so tense? I just want to ask, where did this very special camera come from? There must be an extraordinary story behind it, right?"

"I'm sorry, I have no comment!" Xu Jizhu refused decisively, his attitude as firm as iron. "Please leave immediately!"

He now fully understood that the other party was after the family's heirloom camera. All his feigned curiosity and friendliness vanished instantly, leaving only cold vigilance.

The bespectacled ghost employee standing to the side also frowned, a strong look of disgust on his face. A faint, chilling aura began to emanate from him, and he seemed ready to pounce on the uninvited guest at any moment to scare him away.

Faced with the sudden escalation of hostility, Gao Dongxu's smile only deepened. Ignoring the restless ghost employee, he fixed his gaze on Xu Jizhu's cold face and casually offered an option: "Since you won't tell us where it came from, how about we talk business? Mr. Xu, are you selling this camera?"

He paused, then emphasized, as if he were offering an offer he couldn't refuse: "I can offer a very, very high price, higher than you can imagine."

"Not for sale!" Xu Jizhu's expression changed drastically as he resolutely refused, abandoning all traces of politeness. "Please leave immediately!" he declared, issuing his final order to leave.

However, Gao Dongxu, this unpleasant guest, wouldn't leave so easily after failing to achieve his goal. He seemed to have heard something both helpless and laughable, shook his head slightly, and let out a sigh that was hard to decipher: "He won't sell? That's really... troublesome."

He raised his eyes, the last trace of warmth vanishing from his gaze, leaving only a cold, sharp edge. "To be honest, I feel a connection between this camera and me. If you're willing to sell it, everything would be wonderful. But since you've refused..." His voice suddenly turned cold, "then I'll have to resort to a less-than-civilized method..."

Before he could finish speaking, he softly uttered two words:
"They robbed it."

"What?!" Xu Jizhu and the brown-haired ghost employee's expressions changed drastically at the same time!

Xu Jizhu was shocked and furious. He took two steps back to create distance and shouted at the same time, "Agent Gao—!"

The bespectacled male ghost, known as "Agent Gao," was already poised to strike. Upon hearing the sound, he immediately let out a low ghostly howl, and his yin energy surged, transforming into a blurry gray shadow that rushed straight towards Gao Dongxu's face, bringing with it a chilling yin wind!

Gao Dongxu didn't even lift an eyelid to look at the approaching ghostly figure. Only when the figure was a meter away did he flick his wrist, channeling a stream of pure spiritual energy into the eagle-headed staff in his hand, and then casually thrust it forward.

His movements were effortless and even somewhat elegant.

"Pfft—Ah—!"

The tip of the eagle-headed staff pierced Gao's spiritual chest with unerring precision, as if piercing through a phantom! Gao let out an extremely shrill and painful scream, and his lunging movements instantly froze.

The next instant, his entire spirit body, like a piece of paper set on fire, rapidly turned into wisps of black smoke from the spot where he was stabbed, silently dissipating into the air without leaving a trace.

Utterly annihilated!

"Agent Gao!!" Xu Jizhu watched helplessly as his ghostly employee, who had been with him for many years, vanished into thin air in an instant. His eyes turned bloodshot, his heart ached, and he let out a heart-wrenching roar.

Extreme anger overwhelmed his fear of the powerful enemy, and he lunged forward recklessly, throwing a punch at Gao Dongxu!
