Chapter 543 No Suspense, Overwhelming Victory
Gao Dongxu made a gesture, and Leng Feng, Erpang, Fugui, and the twin sisters immediately understood and quickly walked towards the stairs.

They quickly and quietly went upstairs.

Gao Dongxu, as if returning to his own home, went straight to the French windows, drew the heavy curtains, then found the light switch on the wall and turned on the soft night light.

Under the warm yellow light, Gao Dongxu then noticed that Su Yan was still standing stiffly in place, with fine beads of sweat on her forehead.

“Relax,” Gao Dongxu walked over and naturally put his arm around her waist, feeling her body tremble slightly. “It’s always like this the first time.”

He led Su Yan to the leather sofa in the center of the living room, his movements so elegant that he seemed to truly be the owner of the villa. Su Yan sat down as he guided her, but her body remained tense, like a taut string.

Just as Gao Dongxu was about to say something to comfort her, a muffled thud came from upstairs, followed by the sound of shattering glass and a fierce fight.

“It seems they’ve encountered resistance.” Gao Dongxu’s tone remained calm. He smiled slightly, took out a cigarette and lighter, lit one, and gently patted the arm of Su Yan, whose body was tense and stiff with tension, and said with a smile, “Relax, relax, you’ll be able to go back to the hotel to sleep soon.”

Su Yan smiled wryly and turned to look at Gao Dongxu, completely ignoring his arm around her waist and the hand gently stroking her waist. She said in a trembling voice, "The noise is so loud, won't it alert other people? What if someone calls the police?"

"Hehe, don't worry, no one will care," Gao Dongxu said with a nonchalant smile.

Upstairs in the bedroom, Leng Feng's military boots shattered the scattered pieces of a lamp on the floor, making a crisp sound in the dark. His eyes had adjusted to the darkness, and he could clearly see the figure in a T-shirt and pajama bottoms, moving as nimbly as a monkey, crouching on top of the wardrobe.

"Get down." Leng Feng was a little frustrated and helpless. This police officer was as slippery as an eel.

JC, known as the "War God of the Furniture City," paused slightly upon hearing Mandarin, then grinned, revealing a row of gleaming white teeth: "Come on up here if you dare..."

Before he finished speaking, JC suddenly hurled the decorative vase in his hand at Leng Feng. Leng Feng dodged to the side, and the vase shattered against the wall behind him, shards flying everywhere. In that split second, JC used the momentum to leap onto the bed, springing up and rolling to the other side of the room.

"Damn it!" Leng Feng rarely swore. This police officer was like a monkey, jumping around the room, turning the whole room into his playground.

After landing, JC casually grabbed a dressing stool and threw it at Leng Feng. He then opened a drawer and grabbed a handful of things, scattering them at Leng Feng—coins, watches, and various small objects traced chaotic paths in the air.

Leng Feng swung his arm to deflect the flying debris, but suddenly felt his foot trip—JC had somehow ripped off the bed sheet and was throwing it at his legs like a net. In the instant Leng Feng lost his balance, JC pounced on him with a sinister grin, a letter opener appearing in his hand, aimed straight at Leng Feng's throat.

A soldier's instinct saved Leng Feng. He used his core strength to twist his body mid-air, while his right hand gripped JC's knife-wielding wrist like an iron clamp. With a sharp crack, JC cried out in pain, the letter opener falling to the ground. But this guy, enduring the excruciating pain, slammed his head hard into Leng Feng's nose.

Blood gushed from Leng Feng's nostrils. He released his grip, took two steps back, and wiped his face, his hands covered in blood. JC seized the opportunity to perform a backward roll to create distance, shaking his dislocated wrist. Gripping his wrist in pain, he pressed it back together, shook it a few times, and asked in a deep voice, "Who are you people? Hired by Earl Matthew?"

Leng Feng didn't answer, his gaze turning cold and sharp. He hadn't seen his own blood in a long time, and he charged directly at JC, whose expression had slightly changed.

Meanwhile, in the bedroom across the corridor, the battle was nearing its end.

Zhang Lanxin's character, Bonnie, swept her long right leg towards Ru Xin's head with a whooshing sound, but Ru Qing's sweeping leg threw her off balance. Bonnie staggered backward, and before she could regain her footing, Ru Xin was already close like a ghost, delivering a vicious chop to her carotid artery.

"Ugh!" Bonnie groaned, her vision blurring. She struggled to stay upright, managing a spinning kick that forced her back, but then felt a chill run down her spine—Ruqing had somehow gotten behind her and delivered a powerful elbow strike to her spine.

"Pfft—" Bonnie spat out a mouthful of blood and collapsed to her knees. She struggled to stand up, but Ruqing raised her knee without hesitation and pressed it against Bonnie's chin.

Bonnie fell backward, her consciousness fading. In her last moments, she saw the twin sisters coldly looking down at her, like death itself eyeing its dying prey.

"Wasn't that a bit too much?" Ru Xin said calmly.

"As long as she doesn't die—" Ru Qing kicked the unconscious Bonnie with the tip of her shoe, "Who let her use that dirty trick to kick me there? If she had actually hit me, I would have been in big trouble..."

“Her legs are too long.” Ru Xin curled her lip, took out a plastic cable tie from her waist, and neatly tied Bonnie’s hands and feet.

A loud "boom" suddenly came from the next room, and the whole wall shook. The two sisters exchanged a glance, then went up and helped the unconscious Bonnie out.

On the other side of the wall, Erpang rubbed his reddened fist, looking at Kwon Sang-woo (Simon), who had been sent flying and crashing into the wall by his heavy punch, and grinned menacingly: "That's it? An all-around thug?"

Simon struggled to his feet, blood trickling from the corner of his mouth. He hadn't expected this seemingly sturdy but short man to possess such terrifying explosive power. That punch felt like being hit by a truck; at least two of his ribs were broken.

"Come on!" Fatty beckoned defiantly, his eyes gleaming with fanatical fighting spirit. Simon spat out a mouthful of blood, when he suddenly heard Bonnie's cry of pain coming from the next room. His expression changed drastically; ignoring the formidable enemy before him, he turned and rushed towards the door.

"Trying to run?" Erpang roared and pounced, but Simon suddenly stopped and turned around, delivering a back kick straight for his abdomen. Erpang hastily crossed his arms to block, but was still kicked back two steps.

Simon seized the opportunity to open the door and rush out, just in time to see JC scrambling out of the master bedroom at the other end of the corridor, followed by Leng Feng with a cold expression. At the same moment, Fu Gui and Fu Sheng escorted Liao Fan, a tech geek with a bloodied face wearing only shorts, down the stairs.

In an instant, the second-floor corridor was crowded with people—JC, who had escaped from the master bedroom; Simon, who wanted to rescue Bonnie; Leng Feng, who was chasing JC; Fu Gui and Fu Sheng, who were escorting Liao Fan; and the Ru Xin Ru Qing sisters, who came out of Bonnie's room after hearing the commotion.

The scene froze instantly, and everyone stopped in their tracks.

JC's eyes darted around, then he suddenly grinned: "We surrender, we can talk this over—"

"Shut up!" Simon roared, his gaze sweeping over Bonnie, who was being dragged along by the twin sisters. "What have you done to Bonnie?"

Ru Xin said coldly, "She's asleep. Sleeping soundly—."

Simon's face turned pale instantly. He was about to rush forward to save the person, but he stopped a moment later. He had no choice but to see Ruqing draw his gun and point it at him with lightning speed. It was a pistol with a silencer.

Upon seeing the pistol, JC's expression turned serious. He raised his hands and said, "We surrender. We're all in this for the money; there's no need for knives and guns. We can talk things over..."

"Go downstairs—" Leng Feng stepped forward and nudged JC, who had his hands raised, and said calmly.

“Okay, no problem, we will not resist. Beautiful lady, put the gun away, be careful of accidental discharge—” JC said with a forced smile as he looked at Ruqing, who was still holding the gun to Simon’s head.

Ruqing put away her gun, and then she and Ruxin put the unconscious Bonnie on the ground, letting Simon go forward to check on the situation.

dong dong dong-

Soon, the group came downstairs. JC saw a tall, handsome man sitting on the living room sofa, and a beautiful woman who was dashing and radiant, but whose expression was a little strange.

"You've seen blood?" Gao Dongxu asked, raising an eyebrow as he saw the bloodstains on Leng Feng's face.

"Yeah, he smashed my nose with his head," Leng Feng said with a hint of helplessness.

"As expected of a legendary thief, your skills are quite impressive." Gao Dongxu said jokingly, looking at the smiling JC.

"Hello, may I ask what brings you here so late at night?" JC asked Gao Dongxu with a dry laugh as he walked downstairs, feigning ignorance.

"Hehe, nothing else. You stole something you shouldn't have, and we've come to find you to get it back. We don't know if you're willing to cooperate, JC," Gao Dongxu said with a smile.

"Hehe, could you elaborate? You should know I've stolen a lot of things..." JC grinned at Gao Dongxu, who had a faint smile on his face, trying to extract information from the things the other party wanted to deduce his identity.

Gao Dongxu didn't care about JC's trickery, and instead said with a smile, "The scepters of the Pharaoh and the Tsarina, the Golden Eagle Box, the Star of Arabia, the rose... and the two animal heads."

"Hehe, sir, you're joking. These things you're talking about are lost treasures. How could I possibly have them? I think there must be some misunderstanding." JC looked at Gao Dongxu and denied it with a smile.

"Is that so?" Gao Dongxu looked at JC with a mocking expression, raised an eyebrow, and raised his hand. The next moment, Fusheng's pistol was pressed against the head of the tech geek Liao Fan, and Ruqing's gun was also pressed against Quan Xiangyou's head.

JC's expression immediately changed. Before he could speak, Gao Dongxu stood up with a smile, walked up to JC, and said mockingly, looking down at him, "Think about it again. You said yourself that you stole too many things and might have forgotten. I think you'll definitely remember. Right?"

"Yes, yes, I'm sure I can remember. Don't be impulsive, let's talk this out, let me think..." JC saw the mockery on Gao Dongxu's face, like a cat playing with a mouse, and also saw the coldness in Gao Dongxu's eyes. He knew that he had met a ruthless person this time. If they didn't hand over the item, they might really die here silently.

"Oh, I remember now. Look at my brain, these things are actually here with me, but..."

Gao Dongxu looked at JC with a mocking smile, gesturing for him to continue. JC suddenly became serious, his eyes bright as he met Gao Dongxu's gaze and said, "We can give you the stuff, but can you guarantee you'll let us go?"
