Chapter 41 Red Bird

Suddenly, a flash of red lightning streaked across the sky, so brilliant that it instantly dyed the entire sky red, as if a large sunset glow had appeared.

A fiery red bird, its whole body crystal clear and bright red, only the size of a palm, fell from the sky and landed headfirst in front of the lightning-struck tree at the entrance of the village.

"Ah, Xiaohong!"

The appearance of this bird made Shi Hao forget his sadness. He quickly stood up and rushed over.

The bird was crimson all over. Although all its divine aura had been retracted after it landed and its red feathers had become somewhat dim, the moment it fell, it scorched the ground, like a furnace, with a frighteningly high temperature.

However, its injuries were extremely serious. There was a terrible penetrating wound on its waist and abdomen, which almost cut it off. There were also several claw holes on its head, which almost penetrated into its skull. There were even terrifying runes flashing in these wounds, which were still destroying its vitality.

Seeing this, Shi Hao immediately stopped what he was doing and turned to look at Shi An who had followed him and said, "Brother An, can you save it?"

Hearing Shi Hao's request, Shi An also lowered his head to check the situation of the bird on the ground.

After a long while, Shi An shook his head and said, "I'm sorry, brother Hao, I can't heal its wound now."

“Is that so…”

Seeing that Shi An couldn't be cured, Shi Hao couldn't help but feel disappointed, but he quickly cheered up and turned to look at the huge lightning-struck tree and said, "God Liu, can you save Xiao Hong?"

Just seeing this scene made the others, especially Shi Yunfeng and several elderly people, feel numb all over. Even the young and strong men like Shi Linhu and Shi Feijiao had their hair standing on end at this moment. They dared not move for fear of angering the little red bird.

Not long ago, they had seen from afar a fiery red bird fighting in the vast mountains, burning down half of the sky. The scene was so terrifying that they would never forget it in their lifetime.

Now, when this scarlet bird fell from the sky, it dyed the sky red, like the sunset glow. It doesn't take too much to make people's scalp tingle. This is most likely the most powerful creature.

"Child, come here."

Thinking of this, Shi Yunfeng whispered unconsciously, trying to call Shi Hao back so as not to anger the little red bird.

But Shi Hao didn't care about this. Instead, he blinked his eyes and explained to him, "Grandpa Patriarch, it's okay. I know Xiaohong is powerful, but I don't feel any murderous intent. It has no hostility towards Shi Village."

At this moment, the red bird, which was originally lying on the ground, suddenly widened its eyes, opened its mouth and spit out a faint ray of light, which fell on a huge rock.

"puff!"

A wisp of green smoke rose up, and the entire boulder melted into a pool of magma, flowing on the ground. It was so hot that it burned people's faces.

This scene horrified everyone in Shi Village. It was just a tiny ray of light, not a real flame, yet it already had such a terrifying temperature. Thinking back to what they had seen before, the raging fire that had burned for days without extinguishing, what kind of divine power was that?!
In an instant, everyone couldn't help but worry for Shi Hao, and Shi Feijiao and others moved forward cautiously, trying to pull him away.

But unfortunately, Shi Hao did not agree with them. Instead, he continued to say to the bird, "Don't be angry, Xiaohong. Look at you, smoke is starting to come out of your head. Be careful with your bright red feathers. It would be a shame if they were burned."

Upon hearing this, the red feathers on the little redbird's head suddenly flashed with a rosy glow, and each feather stood upside down, obviously very angry.

But after a moment, it calmed down again, staring at Shi Hao with a strange look.

"Grandpa, look, Xiaohong is very kind and doesn't lose her temper anymore."

Seeing Que'er calm down, Shi Hao suddenly smiled happily, very sweet and pure. Then he turned his head again and looked at Lei Ji Mu with hope on his face: "God Liu, is this okay?"

Seeing this, the fiery red bird no longer cared about the runes that kept flashing on its chest and abdomen and destroying its vitality. It flapped its wings, stood up with difficulty, and looked up at the lightning-struck tree with pleading eyes.

Soon, the willow branch that had been swaying in the wind suddenly drooped silently, emitting a faint green glow. Seeing this, the red bird chirped softly and took a few difficult steps forward, facing the tender green willow branch, revealing its wound and suppressing the last bit of fire.

Immediately afterwards, a drop of crystal juice appeared on the branch, like a drop of jade dew, emitting a rosy glow and a sweet fragrance that filled the air, making everyone in Shi Village feel refreshed.

The willow branches drooped, and the tender buds touched the fiery red bird. The transparent juice slid down and sank into the terrible wound, instantly making the fire there blaze brightly and the runes flicker non-stop.

The little bird chirped softly, its body trembling. It seemed to be in great pain and struggling to endure.

The willow branches sway gently, and several drops of juice appear one after another, rolling among the tender buds. Each drop is crystal clear, like a fairy pearl, shining brightly, and there is a burst of fragrance.

When these drops of juice fell, the rune finally disappeared, and the wound that penetrated the chest and abdomen was completely closed. The little red bird's pain seemed to be relieved a lot at once.

Then, tender buds dotted with green clouds drooped down to its head, and crystal juice flowed down. The several claw holes on the little red cardinal's head also slowly disappeared. At this point, the heavy damage it had suffered was completely eliminated.

There was a flash of fire, and the little red bird was dancing with red light all over its body. Its entire body was so bright that people couldn't open their eyes. The endless flow of divine light made it look bright and dazzling, completely different from before.

Everyone in Shi Village was shocked. The palm-sized red bird was emitting tremendous power, like an ancient god. They almost collapsed to the ground. Fortunately, the lightning-struck wood emitted a halo, which offset this power.

As for those a little further away, such as near the lake, the colorful birds, unicorns, etc. are all like pilgrims, kowtowing to this place and constantly worshiping.

Having recovered from its injuries, the little redbird was in a very happy mood. It chirped a few times happily, then withdrew its divine power, jumped up and down on the spot, and said to the lightning-struck tree in a clear and crisp voice: "I owe you a big favor."

But unfortunately, the lightning-struck tree did not make any sound, but only swayed its tender green branches and pointed at the people in Shi Village.

Seeing this, the little redbird also turned around silently and looked at everyone.

"Qiang!"

The next moment, a red feather fell off its body, and the flowing light was like lightning, very magical, and it inserted into a rock with a "swish".

After Akabane inserted into the rock, it melted immediately and became a pool of magma. Red light flowed, the liquid boiled, and the area expanded rapidly.

At the same time, a clear and pleasant sound, like jade beads falling on a plate, was heard.

"Keep this feather safe. If anyone comes looking for trouble in the future, show it to them!"

Obviously, it is a token of gratitude.

But when they saw the wings, not only did they not step forward to take them, but they all took two steps back because the temperature of the wings was too high.

The little redbird was stunned by everyone's reaction. Then, after looking at everyone and then at the wing with scorching heat, it suddenly realized.

After figuring it out, the little redbird immediately opened its mouth and sucked. Suddenly, the red feathers glowed brightly and flashed violently, and then wisps of divine light flew up and sank into its mouth.

It sucked away the spirit, leaving only a bright red feather, then nodded to the lightning-struck tree and flew into the sky.

Seeing the little redbird fly away, Shi Hao quickly stood at the village entrance, waved his hands vigorously in the air, and shouted: "Little Red, come and play often in the future!"

Hearing this, the red bird staggered in mid-air and almost fell down. Then it turned around, glared at him fiercely, and then its whole body was filled with rosy light, and it rushed into the distance without looking back.
