I am a master in India
Chapter 224 Revenge
Chapter 224 Revenge
Anand had long since left the den of demons, the Arthur Road prison that had imprisoned him.
But standing at its entrance, my body still trembled slightly, and even my healed wounds ached faintly.
“Let’s settle this today,” Ron said calmly.
Anand moved his lips, but said nothing.
A van slowly pulled up in front of the prison. The person inside rolled down the window and shook their head.
Anil immediately understood. He told the driver to drive towards Mumbai Port, with the van trailing behind in the distance.
Mumbai Port has many shipyards, both government-owned and privately owned.
Government-funded shipyards receive special grants, so there's no need to worry about unemployment. Private shipyards, facing the influx of foreign vessels, have seen some go bankrupt and close down.
The shipyard towers were empty. Due to neglect, all the steel frames were rusted and exposed to the corrosive sea winds, revealing ugly reddish-brown scars, like dried bloodstains.
The sound of footsteps approached, occasionally interspersed with the scraping sound of heavy objects scraping against the stairs.
The four dormitory supervisors were dragged up the tower step by step, their faces covered with bruises and rust.
Ron stepped onto the top of the tower, a platform that was once used for signaling and lookout.
It's open on all sides, with its back to the land and its face to the sea. Underfoot is a floor made of welded steel beams, and through the gaps, you can see the surging waves.
With the help of two burly men, Anand carefully approached the railing.
"Ron, it's too high up here."
Don't you think this is a good place?
Anand frowned. "If you skim it, the sea breeze will blow it around wildly."
Ron was taken aback, then burst into laughter.
Anand also laughed, but his laughter seemed absent-minded.
His eyes frequently darted to the dormitory supervisor lying not far from his feet, like a dead dog.
His memories of them were etched in his mind; he remembered their roars, the iron bamboo sticks they swung down, and their sarcastic laughter.
And then there's the moment when they stood on the rock and leaped down towards their own arms.
Pain, pain that penetrates to the bone marrow.
Anand's vision blurred, but he clenched his teeth, making a grinding sound.
Hatred, the most intense and suffocating human emotion.
Fear makes one thirsty, hatred makes one speechless.
Anand certainly wanted revenge; he wasn't an angel, he was a human being.
“Let them sober up,” Ron waved.
Several burly men stepped forward and slapped him repeatedly across the face.
Before long, the four dormitory supervisors slowly opened their eyes.
Actually, it's about right. Ron had calculated the anesthesia dosage perfectly.
"Who are you? Do you know the Daoud Gang?" The bearded leader asked, his voice laced with bravado but betraying his inner cowardice.
"Do you know him?" Ron patted Anand on the shoulder.
"It's you, that lowly commoner!" the bearded man and his companions exclaimed, seemingly astonished by Anand's appearance.
"I heard that you guys inside took exceptionally good care of my friend?"
"And who are you?" The bearded man and his companions did not recognize Ron.
They have been in prison for over a decade and know nothing about Mumbai today.
"Who I am is not important; now it's time to settle accounts."
Ron didn't give them a chance to speak and started acting almost immediately.
Several henchmen forced large wads of rag into their mouths to prevent them from screaming or doing anything to hurt themselves.
The four dormitory supervisors struggled, sobbing, but their hands and feet were held down, and all their efforts were in vain.
Anand stared intently the entire time without saying a word.
“The best revenge, like the best love, must be taken slowly and with your eyes open,” Ron whispered.
First it was the bearded man; his arm was forcibly pulled and placed on the iron railing.
A burly man stepped forward with a stone hammer, grinning maliciously. Then he raised the hammer and smashed it down without hesitation.
Right in the elbow! Crack! A audible creaking sound.
The bearded man's mouth was gagged, preventing him from screaming. His legs trembled violently, then the tremors spread throughout his body, finally stopping at the rapid shaking of his head.
The remaining three dormitory supervisors were terrified. Some struggled, some collapsed to the ground, and some had wet, yellow stains on their groins.
The burly man wielding the stone hammer did not stop; he followed suit and smashed the bearded man's other arm.
The sound of bones rubbing against fascia was so loud that even the sea breeze could hardly mask it.
When the bearded man was put down, he had already passed out, and his arms were as limp as noodles.
Ron turned his head and saw Anand crying and trembling.
The burly man then approached another dormitory supervisor, who shook his head frantically, utterly terrified.
“It’s okay, Ronbaba, it’s okay.” Anand cried.
He cried so bitterly, yet so freely.
His lingering nightmares seemed to have vanished silently with the sea breeze.
Ron put his arm around Anand's shoulder, looked into his eyes, and nodded after confirming something.
"Don't let the devil linger in your heart for too long."
"Ron Baba, you're a good person."
"We are all good people."
“Yes, we are all good people!” Anand cried and laughed at the same time.
“Let’s go back.” Ron put his arm around his shoulder and they went downstairs. The sea breeze howled, creating a series of sharp whistles in their ears.
The sound of sacks falling into the water could be heard, but they kept walking.
Was he a good person? Ron wasn't sure.
The assassin and the prison—the two thorns in Ron's heart have been removed.
The gloom that had accumulated over the past few days has eased slightly.
He wanted to talk to someone, but there didn't seem to be any suitable people around him, so he ended up going to Mary and the others.
Other women are either too naive or too well-protected, and haven't yet realized the bloody side of this city.
Only Mary and her companions understood the rules of the jungle, and they were also more knowledgeable about the affairs of the palace.
“Recently, Abu has been frequently entering and leaving the palace, and he’s been getting more and more people around him,” Mary reminded him.
“Perhaps they’ve heard something recently.” Ron’s eyes were unreadable.
"If you're really planning to do something, you'd better be careful."
“I know, I’m not a greenhorn, I’ll enjoy the process,” Ron chuckled.
“Well, you seem to be in a good mood today.” She sat down next to him.
“Revenge is the best psychological medicine.” Ron sat on the sofa and gently stroked their backs, which were smooth and soft.
He was indeed much more at ease, and it was rare for him to spend most of the night wholeheartedly with them.
"I can feel it, it's very powerful." Lena lay on his lap, smiling dreamily.
"As you know, I've been busy with other things lately, and it's been piling up for many days."
"So, you've finally gotten what you wanted?"
"No, there's still a long way to go. There are still so many things I haven't figured out."
The Royal Palace? Khad Khan? Johnny? What roles did they play when Anand was arrested?
Ron needs to figure this out, but one thing he's sure of is that the palace is his next target for revenge!
Defeating the killer was simply removing the thorn closest to his throat.
The cell supervisors in the prison were there to help Anand overcome the trauma he had suffered.
Behind the problem, the culprit who caused all of this has not yet been brought to justice, and his revenge will not stop.
It'll be soon, very soon, not too long.
"How's your movie going?" Ron cleared his mind of distractions.
"Director Chopra has already started filming." Lena said, fiddling with his fingers listlessly.
"When did this happen?" Ron hadn't been paying much attention to Bollywood lately.
“The filming plan was set up when you were in Uttar Pradesh. The budget was 47 million rupees, with Sun Entertainment contributing 10 million, accounting for 21 percent.”
"Wow, that's a big spender! As the main investor, you weren't even there to oversee things?"
“The first scenes we filmed required shooting in Punjab and Kashmiri, which were too far and too dangerous for us to go,” Lena complained.
“That’s right, this movie is different from ‘In Praise of Mother,’ it’s not entirely up to us,” Mary agreed.
Sun Entertainment was not the largest investor in "Love in the Time of Fire"; Chopra's own film company was, along with other investors.
As co-producers, Mary and her team didn't have much say; all they needed to do was keep an eye on things in Mumbai.
Of course, the more important reason was that the two were worried about Ron's recent actions, so they stayed here to keep an eye on him.
“This is a rare opportunity to integrate into Bollywood, you don’t need to do this.” Ron felt their concern.
“We just don’t want to see your little lover every day,” Mary laughed.
“Yes, I still prefer Urmila,” Lena agreed.
“Manissa is just a little bit smarter, but she’s not a bad person,” Ron explained helplessly.
The female lead in "Love in the Time of War" is Manisha, which Ron inserted.
The two movies she made last year, one released at the end of last year and the other in February of this year, both flopped spectacularly.
Both films had budgets of around 15 million, and the box office revenue was also around that amount. After deducting the theaters' share, they couldn't even break even.
Manisha cried and said she couldn't make it in Bollywood anymore and wanted to go back to Nepal.
What could Ron do? Having enjoyed the three-way service she provided, he could only once again play the role of a sugar daddy.
Driven by his past connection to rescuing Sanjay Dutt, Chopra agreed without hesitation.
Of course, he himself was also very satisfied with Manisha; she's a Bollywood actress, as long as she's pretty.
This was a huge investment of nearly 50 million rupees, and Manisha was so grateful that she ate lollipops for a long time.
She doesn't mind showing her special relationship with Ron in front of her Bollywood colleagues.
It's so good!
Mary and Lena didn't like her, but Urmila was much simpler and easier to fool.
"In short, we'll stay in Mumbai. Director Chopra is expected to be back in about a month."
"Fine, if you're willing." Ron doesn't intend to get involved in the movie.
“If this movie is a box office success, then Sun Entertainment will become a well-known production company in Bollywood.” Mary was very excited.
“To be honest, romance movies aren’t as popular as action movies,” Ron reminded her.
"Director Chopra is very well-known and has won awards, so there shouldn't be any problems. Moreover, the film's soundtrack is fantastic, and several record companies are already in talks about the copyright. We are very confident."
That's true. Putting aside the quality of Chopra's movies, his music cassettes sold exceptionally well.
Often, the music rights for a movie are sold long before the movie is even released.
"I wonder how much profit this ten million rupees will bring us. You know, I'm really short of money lately." Ron recently owed the bank a large loan again.
“I’ve heard about your Sur Industrial Park project, 500 million rupees? That’s a real big spender!”
“It’s just a plan,” Ron chuckled. “There’s one more thing to take care of before we officially start construction.”
The thought of the palace popped into Mary's and the others' minds simultaneously.
