I am a master in India
Chapter 218 Dr. Sue Can't Always Be a Good Person
Chapter 218 Dr. Sue Can't Always Be a Good Person
After receiving Mary's call, Ron rushed to Bandera immediately.
For a whole month, he had tried almost every possible method, but had not found a single clue.
He was surprised to receive news from Mary, but now was not the time to dwell on it; Anand was the key.
"Where is he?" Ron asked impatiently as soon as he entered the apartment.
“I don’t know.” Mary shrugged.
"What?" Ron raised his voice.
"Hey, don't get excited, take a look at these photos first," Lena reassured him.
“Oh, sorry, I’m in a bit of a hurry.” Ron went straight to the table in the living room.
There were many photos scattered around, mostly about the palace. The photos were probably taken from the second floor across the street, offering a very clear view.
There are photos of the palace buildings, both day and night. More numerous are photos of people entering and leaving the palace, among which one face stands out.
It was a tall, thin man. He had a long, dark brown braid that reached his hips.
He was pale and beardless, without even eyebrows, and the spiral tattoo on his chin seemed to draw the gaze of those who looked at him.
Abu! That eunuch from the palace.
"What do you mean?" Ron didn't quite understand.
“Take another look at this photo.” Mary pulled out a single one.
The photo above still features Abu, but the background isn't the palace; it's a street scene.
Ron glanced at the photo but didn't notice anything unusual until his gaze happened to sweep over the edge of the photo.
There was a figure there, short and stocky. He was turning his round, chubby face to the side, revealing his signature smile.
Anand! Ron’s mind suddenly exploded.
"Where is this? How did you take this picture?" he asked eagerly.
“Near Haynes Road, you know, we’ve been keeping an eye on this castrato. We didn’t notice it when we were organizing the photos before, but we only realized how unusual it was today.”
Ron remembered that before they went to Uttar Pradesh, Mary and the others said that this Abu had been frequently visiting the palace recently.
They had unresolved grudges with Lady Elizabeth and were keeping a close eye on the situation there. Abu, as Lady Elizabeth's confidant, was also a key target.
“Look at his eyes,” Mary said, pointing to the photo. “They’re definitely up to no good.”
Those were eyes filled with hatred, disgust, and a chilling, venomous gaze.
"Why does this madman harbor such intense hatred for Anand?" Ron frowned.
“Perhaps he doesn’t hate Anand,” Mary whispered.
“You mean…me?” Ron had a sudden realization.
Yes, he remembered. Abu had shown that same resentful look when he helped Hela rescue people in the palace.
Later, Ron and Anand were eating on the street when they saw him again in the crowd, with the exact same look in his eyes.
Anil had even led a team to track them down, but they returned empty-handed.
He now understood that Abu might have decided to target him because he saw the close relationship between Anand and Ron.
Ron is always surrounded by bodyguards, so ordinary people have no chance. Abu must have found it troublesome, which is why he finally chose Anand.
Ron just couldn't understand why Abu harbored such deep hatred for him.
Just because he and Hela conspired to deceive his master? Just because he made a harsh statement before leaving the palace?
Damn it, throughout history, dead eunuchs have always been perverts, madmen, and fanatics.
“I think I need to go to the palace.” Ron stood up.
“You’d better not come here so easily,” Mary stopped him. “They might be waiting for you.”
"What do you mean?"
"If they only arrested Anand to vent their anger, that's fine, but what if they didn't? Going there would be like walking into a trap."
Ron paused, remembering Aiger's warning.
"Furthermore, what evidence do you have that they arrested Anand? This photo proves nothing."
This is another problem; even gangsters need a legitimate reason to carry out their actions.
He comes to our door making a big fuss, and whether he can get the girl or not is another matter; he might even get humiliated.
Ron had calmed down; the matter was more complicated than he had thought.
Mumbai is not Uttar Pradesh; you can't just shoot people and solve the problem.
This is India's commercial center, with its own operating rules and systems, and most importantly, it represents modern civilization.
He is a businessman, not a thug.
“Gentlemen, perhaps I must leave.” Ron already knew who to turn to.
"Don't be impulsive. The palace isn't as simple as you think. Lena and I both need to be very careful," Mary advised him.
"Don't worry, I dislike violence the most, and I will find a suitable mediator."
"Who?" Mary was worried; she knew Ron cared a lot about Anand.
"Had Khan".
"That underground tycoon?"
“That’s right. Do you remember when I bought the land? He was the one who helped me get things done with Mrs. Elizabeth.”
This was the most suitable candidate Ron could think of. Had Khan was of high enough status and was an acquaintance of both sides; they had dealt with each other before.
“Alright, be careful.” Mary stopped trying to stop him.
“I won’t act rashly until I’m certain.” Ron took the photo.
As he got into the car, he looked at the face in the photo, a cold glint in his eyes.
Ron certainly hates violence, but if the other party crosses the line first, then he shouldn't be blamed for being uncivilized.
“Master,” Anil, who was sitting in the front, suddenly spoke up, “something’s not right.”
"Hmm?" Ron looked up.
“That person,” Anil gestured with his eyes towards the window.
In front of a coffee shop by the roadside, a man with a mustache stared intently at their car.
He was short and thin, and not particularly handsome. But his eyes were very special; they were dark and deep, gleaming with a sharp light.
“Anil?” Ron asked softly. “Assassin!”
Ron's breath hitched, and his body tensed.
Anil reached down and pressed Ron down, while he himself pulled out a pistol from his waist.
He picked up the walkie-talkie with his other hand and said a few words.
The taxi following Ron suddenly veered towards the coffee shop, causing nearby passersby to scream in panic.
The mustachioed man jumped away alertly first, glared at them fiercely, and then quickly disappeared into the crowd.
Two or three people got out of the taxi and chased after them, while Ron's car continued to drive forward.
It wasn't until they had passed three blocks that Anil relaxed his guard slightly.
"What happened?" Ron was still completely confused.
"That guy was pretending to be a coffee drinker, but he didn't look like one at all; he was a poor man."
"Can you tell which gang they belong to?"
Most of the hitmen in Mumbai are gangsters, without exception.
“I don’t know, but the other party is a herdsman,” Anil said with certainty.
"How to say?"
“He had the marks of prayer on his forehead.”
This is a common characteristic among many herders; the more devout they are, the more obvious their handprints become.
Herdsmen? Which gang in Mumbai has the most herdsmen? Ron already had a guess.
Things are getting more and more complicated. First it was the palace, and now it's the gangsters. They've all set their sights on me.
Why? Ron couldn't quite understand.
He believed he had little connection with the gang and no complicated interests, so it didn't make sense.
At that moment, a response came from Anil's walkie-talkie; the men who had just gone after the assassin said they had lost him.
The other party was not acting alone; at least four people were covering for him.
Clearly, this was a premeditated act, not just a whim of some madman.
Ron frowned and patted the driver's seat in the front, indicating that he should go back first.
After today's experience, he became more cautious.
Mary is right. No matter how urgent things are at the palace, we can't risk our lives.
He needs to call Hadhan; this is definitely not over yet.
Everyone praised, "Dr. Suer is a good man."
Yes, that's right, he's a doctor.
They can save lives or kill them; it's all a matter of a single thought.
Back in the fortress district, before Ron even got out of the car, he saw a uniformed policeman pacing anxiously in front of his house.
“Rajesh?” He finally recognized the person in front of him.
"Mr. Sur!" Rajesh ran over. "Quick! Save Anand!"
“Anand?!” Ron was taken aback.
"Yes, he's in prison, and his situation is very bad!"
"Wait!" Ron's thoughts were a bit jumbled. "You mean he's in prison?"
"Yes, Arthur Road Prison!"
"Why is it in a prison? Isn't it in the palace?"
"He was tortured badly at Arthur Road Prison. I was just transferred there and only found out about him today."
"Go inside and tell me everything you know!"
He had just returned from Mary's place and had already concluded that the culprit behind Anand's disappearance was Abu in the palace.
Anand might be imprisoned somewhere by the other side right now, but Rajesh's arrival shattered these speculations.
Rajesh told Ron that he had just been transferred to Arthur Road Prison as a guard in early February.
As for the reason, cough, that's not the point.
In short, after breaking up with his wife, he lost his lucrative patrol job.
No police officer doesn't make money; even prison guards are police officers.
Rajesh used to deal with Anand frequently, and influenced by him, he simply moved his drug-selling business to the prison.
When there is demand, there is market.
His business was booming, and he became famous at Arthur Road Prison in just a few days.
Then the events described above occurred; Rajesh himself never expected Anand to be in prison.
Rajesh had heard about his disappearance, but he didn't pay much attention because his wife was going through a divorce with him at the time.
“He was in such a terrible state! You wouldn’t believe it, I almost didn’t recognize him. His arm was broken, and those people were afraid of causing a death, so they came to me.”
"Rajesh, you've been a great help."
“Surbai, look at what you’re saying. Anand is also my friend. I can’t just stand by and watch him die.”
“Go back now and keep an eye on him. I’ll handle the rest. Once this is over, let me know which police department you want to join.”
"Oh, Surbai, you are so loyal and righteous!"
Rajesh left in high spirits, but Ron's eyes grew colder.
Gangsters, assassins, palaces, prisons, Anand—his rage burns fiercely.
Dr. Sue can't always be a good person!
He picked up the landline on the table and dialed a number.
"Aijie, do me a favor."
