Chapter 969 Choosing a Cave

Li Ming went straight to the eighth floor in the library. Now as the leader of the ten true disciples, he could freely browse everything in the library except the heavenly book on the ninth floor which only ancestor Luo Zhen could read. Of course, he could only read the brief introduction of cultivation techniques and magical powers, but there was a limit on the specific rules of cultivation.

Normally, after winning the title of True Disciple, the ten great disciples can choose one of the thirty-six True Disciple Dharmas to practice. After sixty years, if they are still in the position of True Disciple, they can choose another one. Of course, generally speaking, they can sit in the position for three terms, which is one hundred and eighty years.

However, among these thirty-six true methods, in addition to the heavenly book of practice, there are also some extremely powerful magical arts. There are twenty-four orthodox methods and twelve magical powers, collectively known as the thirty-six true methods.

Of course, this does not mean that those orthodox methods in the heavenly books of cultivation only contain ways of cultivation but no methods to defeat the enemy. In fact, most of these orthodox methods were practiced by the ancestor Luo Zhen himself, and they have a complete set of supporting techniques with endless uses.

However, in this case, the twelve magical powers can still be ranked among the thirty-six true great methods, and naturally they have their extraordinary features. In terms of power or wonderful use alone, these twelve magical powers are all first-class in the world, and the "Great Five Elements Extinction Divine Light" is one of these twelve magical powers.

This magical power was inherited by chance from an elder Luo Zhen in his early years when he was wandering around. He inherited the Taoist tradition from a senior master who had achieved enlightenment and ascended to heaven. However, due to the long time, the Taoist tradition was incomplete, and in the end only this magical power was sorted out.

Elder Luo Zhen himself once lamented, "The Five Elements are the true Dharma. If one can obtain the complete 'Five Elements Creation Book', ascending to heaven wouldn't be difficult."

Unfortunately, things should not be perfect, and people should not be perfect, so this method was still incomplete in the end. Of course, this divine light was included in the Thirty-Six True Transmissions by Ancestor Luo Zhen, not just because of its origin.

If this magical power is cultivated, it will defeat all the five elements of Taoism in the world. Once the divine light is released, the five elements will rotate and destroy all life.

Of course, it is also very troublesome to practice. In this method, the five elements of gold, wood, water, fire and earth are divided into Jia and Yi wood, Bing and Ding fire, Wu and Ji earth, Geng and Xin metal and Ren and Kui water, a total of ten kinds of magic power.

If you want to cultivate this magical power, you have to start from the beginning and practice it in the correct or reverse order. It takes about sixty years to cultivate any kind of magical power. In other words, if you practice according to conventional means, it will take you six hundred years to achieve it.

Of course, this is under the condition that everything goes well. Before this method is fully mastered, the five energies cannot circulate. One point used is one point less. If you fight with others, it is equivalent to using the foundation of your own hard work to consume others.

This is just the formation of the golden elixir. When you reach the Nascent Soul stage, you will need more essence of the five elements, which means more time and energy.

Although it is extremely powerful after being practiced, only a few people have been able to master this magical power over the years.

Those who have mastered the technique basically do not follow the conventional path, but use tricks. As for how to use tricks, it is actually very simple. This method simply requires refining the essence of the five elements and refining them into magic power.

The reason why it takes so much time is simply because the five elements essence you have extracted from the vital energy of heaven and earth is too little. It is equivalent to drying salt from sea water. If you use the true essence of the five elements as a guide, it is like digging directly from the salt pile. The difference between the two is naturally as huge as heaven and earth.

Li Ming took the two he needed, but he didn't leave immediately. In addition to these Taoist books, there were many other classics in the library, including many secret volumes on power training methods, notes left by predecessors, and even some ancient historical legends. The Taoist, having benefited from him, was quite attentive. Whenever there was anything he needed to look up, he would open the door and run around without stopping. Having him around saved Li Ming a lot of time.

But Luo Zhen's collection of books is really vast. Even if Li Ming only picked and chose to read, it still took him quite a while. During these three days, he worked tirelessly to expand his knowledge and understand more about many secrets of the world of immortal cultivation. This trip was really worth it!

During these three days, the Taoist was quite attentive, and Li Ming often rewarded him with some money. So when the day came for Li Ming to leave, the Taoist was still reluctant to leave, and his reluctant look made Li Ming laugh. Li Ming then gave him a magic tool, which made him even more happy.

After leaving the library, Li Ming's escape light suddenly appeared, broke through the clouds, and went straight to Longshou Peak. This peak was the direct superior of Longhua Mansion. The power was similar, but they were in charge of the true disciples.

There are not only ten true disciples. In fact, all the disciples of the elders can be considered true disciples. However, only the ten true disciples have the extremely high authority in Luo Zhen Sect. The disciples of these ordinary elders are just called true disciples, and their actual status is much lower.

If the master elder you follow has strength and status in the sect and is in a high enough position, then naturally you will have good resources. But if you follow an idle elder and claim to be a true disciple, then in reality, compared to an inner sect disciple, you just have one more master.

Li Ming was running at high speed. Not long after, he saw a sacred peak with clear blue water and covered with fragrant flowers and trees emerging from the clouds in front of him.

There is an earthen platform on the peak, which is as high as the clouds. It is an observatory. On both sides are three nine-story pavilions, all built with jade and stone. The doors are arched and there are no plaques. They are leaning against the cliff. There are diversions and flowers planted around them. The terraces are elegant and the jade springs are gurgling, free from dust.

Li Ming descended his light of escape and landed in front of the pavilion. He walked up a gravel path and soon saw the door of the pavilion open. A nun walked forward and nodded at Li Ming, saying, "You are the leader of the ten true disciples of this session, Wuxin?"

Li Ming only took a glance at this person and sensed the aura on her body and knew that she was a cultivator in the Nascent Soul stage. However, there was only one female Nascent Soul cultivator on Longshou Peak, and her status was only second to the chief elder of Longshou Peak.

He immediately replied, "Greetings, Master Miaohua, this disciple is Wuxin."

The nun nodded gently and said, "Elder Chang has already asked me to choose a cave for you. Please come with me."

Hearing Miaohua say this, Li Ming was also happy in his heart. This is the difference between becoming a disciple and not becoming a disciple. Although Elder Chang is low-key, her strength is not low. Her status in the sect is somewhat transcendent. And he is the only disciple under her sect. Naturally, this treatment is not comparable to before.

After entering the building, Miaohua took out the jade tablet, silver seal, and a number of documents, and said softly, "I heard from your master that you sat in the library for three days, and the first thing you did when you came out was to get the cave. She specially selected a cave for you, which is exactly what you need for cultivation."

Li Ming looked up and thought to himself, "Master really puts his heart into it."
