Chapter 498 The Heavy Armored Boss

Chapter 498 The Heavy Armored Boss
One of the heavily armored leaders, charging at the very front, was aiming straight for the cave entrance, seemingly trying to cut off Team A's retreat or prevent possible reinforcements.

However, it was precisely intercepted by fire from the "Eagle's Nest Rock" high above.

An anti-tank missile hurtled down and struck it precisely in the chest.

The violent explosion hurled its massive green body to the ground.

Hot metal fragments flew everywhere.

However, its thick "turtle shell," composed of starship keel and additional armor, demonstrated astonishing defensive capabilities.

It simply let out an even angrier roar.

It struggled, using its massive power axe to support its body, and shakily got back to its feet.

Although a huge dent and scorch marks were left on the armor, it was clear that it had not lost its combat capability.

Ivanov shouted anxiously into the channel: "B team report! The heavily armored target is extremely resistant to damage! Repeat, extremely resistant to damage! Maintain suppression! More firepower is needed!"

"Flanking fire! Prioritize suppressing those heavily armored leaders! Don't let them get close to the wounded!" Sergeant Vasily urgently called out over the channel.

At the same time, the power sword in his hand shone brightly with blue light.

The buzzing sound produced by the high-frequency vibrations increased to an ear-piercing level.

The veteran sergeant did not hesitate at all.

Without hesitation, he charged towards the heavily armed leader who was at the forefront and posed the greatest threat!

The next moment, a deafening roar of metal colliding and a piercing shriek of energy fields tearing each other apart erupted instantly!
The azure sword light clashed violently with the crude energy field on the orc's powered weapon.

Sparks flew.

Every parry and strike is a contest of strength and skill, and also fraught with deadly danger.

"Mikhail!" Vasily roared the command during a brief opening created by a successful dodge amidst the fierce parrying.

His voice, broken by the intense battle, was unusually clear over the channel: "Take the rest of the able-bodied! Target the Warboss! Disrupt it! Hold it off! Buy time for reinforcements! Don't fight head-on! Execute orders!"

The last four words struck Mikhail's heart like a hammer blow.

Mikhail instantly understood the sergeant's almost self-sacrificing decision.

Vasily and his brothers, who were fighting alongside him, were bait to draw the heavy armor boss's firepower.

They used their own lives as a shield.

They were only trying to create a slim chance for Mikhail and his men to restrain the most terrifying behemoth, even if it was just for a few seconds!

For the mission.

To win.

For the glory of the Emperor!

"Follow me!" Mikhail shouted without hesitation to the four remaining brothers who were still able to fight.

His voice trembled slightly with excitement and determination.

They tried their best to break free from their entanglement with the heavy-duty leader.

They took advantage of the chaos created by Vasily and the cover fire from Team B.

Like four arrows released from a bow, they charged headlong into the terrifying green figure before the furnace, a figure that seemed like a god, with the resolve to die.

"For the Emperor! For Dorne!!" Mikhail roared, channeling all his anger, fear, and worry for his brothers into power.

The chainsaw sword in his hand roared wildly, exceeding its power limits.

The high-speed rotation of the saw teeth generated a strong wind that even blew up the dust on the ground.

He aimed at the back of Warboss's relatively vulnerable knee joint and slashed fiercely with a death wish!
The other three brothers also pounced on its relatively weak points, such as the tendons of its ankles and the connection points of the side armor on its supporting legs.

The roar of chainsaws and the shriek of bombs were their only battle song.

Outside the cave, the Astronauts' heavy artillery barrage reached another climax.

The shockwaves from the intense explosions caused the entire cave to shake violently. Debris from the ceiling rained down like raindrops.

The mortal artillery was carrying out a final sweeping attack, attempting to completely cut off the orc reinforcements from the outer perimeter from reaching the core area.

However, the battle within the core area has completely descended into a hellish frenzy.

The sounds, lights, and atmosphere here are all condensed into a vortex of pure destruction.

Warboss seemed to be thoroughly enraged by these "little bugs" that dared to approach it and bite its ankles.

Its massive body displayed terrifying agility that was completely disproportionate to its size.

It suddenly turned around, and the fishy wind it stirred up almost made Mikhail lose his balance.

The enormous power claw, wreathed in crimson energy, swept across like a meteorite with the force to tear through the void and a piercing shriek!

"Boom! Bang!"

Mikhail only had time to rely on his honed fighting instincts to parry the roaring chainsaw sword in front of him.

The next moment, an irresistible, terrifying force, like being hit head-on by a high-speed Rand Raider, came!
He could feel the bones in his arm and the servo systems of his power armor groaning under the strain.

The chainsaw sword that had accompanied him in battle for so long flew out of his hand in an instant.

It twisted and deformed in the air, like a crushed toy.

It spun and crashed into a pile of scrap metal in the distance.

He flew through the air in a powerless arc, like a catapult projectile.

With a heartbreaking metallic creak, he crashed heavily onto a pile of rusty, sharp scrap metal of construction machinery in the distance!

The violent impact caused the alarm system of the entire MK10 armor to sound frantically.

The joint servo system instantly locked up and entered a protection state due to overload impact.

The superhuman skeleton, enhanced by genes throughout its body, emitted a creaking groan, as if it were about to shatter.

His tactical goggles were stained with a blood-red warning pattern by the violent impact.

Icons representing multiple instances of system damage are flashing at the edge of the field of vision.

He struggled to get up.

The severe blow to his lungs made every breath a tearing, excruciating pain.

The scorching air he inhaled was mixed with a heavy metallic powder and the smell of blood.

This triggered a brief but intense, suffocating cough.

The inside of the helmet visor was instantly covered with a layer of blood mist.

He could only watch helplessly as his brother was easily knocked away like a fragile doll by Warboss's ferocious, fly-swatting follow-up attacks.

He even saw them being brutally trampled by those enormous metal feet!
The sound of bones shattering was clearly transmitted to his damaged hearing sensors even through the noisy battlefield.

The communication channel was instantly filled with the brothers' painful groans and alarms sounding as their vital signs plummeted.

Warboss easily dealt with the other "little bugs".

Those small, scarlet eyes, filled with cruel pleasure and destructive desire, locked onto Mikhail, the only target still struggling on the scrap heap, trying to restart the servo system.

It let out a deafening roar that proclaimed victory.

The massive power claw was raised high.

A deadly crimson energy blade condenses and elongates at the tip of the claw.

The energy blade emitted a humming sound like a hellish furnace being turned on.

It was aimed at Mikhail, who was almost unable to move!
The chilling shadow of death descended instantly, as if it were a tangible reality.

The shadows blocked out all sound and light.
