Chapter 347 The Eldar Prophet

Chapter 347 The Eldar Prophet

Back in the 40k era, Chen Xi's mind was still filled with the unusual situation about the star sector capital that 32 and Mai Mai had mentioned to him before.

Although the Mariupol sector appears to have quelled the Chaos Cult rebellion and restored order, Chen Xi keenly senses that beneath this seemingly calm surface, unsettling undercurrents still lurk.

In order to get to the bottom of the truth, Chen Xi decided to take the initiative.

He personally drafted an encrypted letter and dispatched his black ship to deliver it to the court headquarters in the star sector capital.

In this official letter, he formally requested access to all classified files related to the recent rebellion in his capacity as judge, with particular emphasis on the need to obtain detailed information about the demon prince Zanazt and the Invisible Brotherhood.

Chen Xi was well aware that the court was strictly hierarchical and that much key information was classified as top secret, but he still hoped to obtain some valuable clues through his special privileges.

Although 32 and MaiMai could keep him informed of the situation in the star sector capital in a timely manner, they lacked the official status of the Tribunal and could not access many core secrets.

Even if they negotiated with the court under Chen Xi's name, the information they could obtain was limited to publicly available information.

Those truly important secrets—such as prophecies about demon princes, details of ancient chaotic rituals, or infiltration plans of high-ranking heretical organizations—are often only accessible to a select few senior inquisitors.

Chen Xi knew very well that in order to uncover the deep conspiracy behind the star sector rebellion, he had to personally intervene in the investigation.

After the official letter was sent, Chen Xi did not have high hopes.

He understood that a response from the court might be a long time coming, or he might not receive a reply at all.

However, he still believed that this move was necessary, at least to make the court aware of his high level of concern for the matter, thereby exerting pressure on them to speed up the investigation.

At the same time, Chen Xi's attention quickly returned to the fighting on the Rostov front.

While he was busy with matters of the 3K era, the development of the secondary sector continued to progress steadily.

The construction of Rostov-2 is nearing completion, the third section of the orbital ring structure is about to be completed, and the planetary forging plant is operating at full capacity, continuously supplying various materials to the front lines.

However, the situation for the expeditionary force became increasingly complicated—the battle between the space necromancers and the greenskins continued, and what was even more worrying was that the orcs were rapidly evolving in the midst of the fighting.

Chen Xi knew that a new strategic plan had to be formulated as soon as possible, otherwise the entire war would be out of control once the Greenskins fully absorbed the Necromancers' technology.

These savage orcs are already constantly evolving in battle; if they were to acquire the advanced technology of the Necromancer Kingdom, the consequences would be unimaginable.

Fortunately, he had already arranged and formulated a new battle plan beforehand.

During this period, the three commanders, Sigismund, Locken, and Ventanus, worked together to complete the preliminary preparations.

The expeditionary force has completed its reorganization and resupply, and its new tactical deployment is in place, ready to launch an attack at any time.

But just before Chen Xi was about to give the order to attack, an unexpected visitor stopped him.

Looking at the Eldar prophet in front of him, who was two heads taller than him and almost as tall as an Astartes warrior, Chen Xi frowned slightly.

A faint psionic aura emanated from the other party, and an unfathomable light flickered in their narrow eyes. "You mean..." Chen Xi asked noncommittally, his voice calm but scrutinizing, "If I launch an attack now, the space necromancers will release the Star God fragments they imprisoned, then crush the greenskins and overturn the entire subsector?"

“Yes, Governor of Mankind,” the Eldar prophet replied in fluent High Gothic.

To Chen Xi's surprise, she did not display the arrogant and condescending attitude typical of the Adaling tribe. Instead, she looked at him with a scrutinizing gaze tinged with a hint of awe.

What's even more intriguing is that Chen Xi keenly noticed a subtle curiosity hidden deep within those alien eyes.

This puzzled him—he didn't understand why a Eldar prophet he had never met would look at him like that.

However, right now, the warning she brought is clearly more important than probing the other party's attitude.

“I need more detailed information,” Chen Xi said directly, his voice firm and unwavering: “The specifics of this Star God fragment.”

“Of course, that’s exactly why I’m here.” The Spirit Race prophet nodded firmly, then extended a hand to Chen Xi.

A ghostly blue psychic glow began to appear on her palms, tracing mysterious rune patterns in the air.

Seemingly afraid that Chen Xi might misunderstand, she specifically explained, "I will use my spiritual energy to show you the prophecy that my clan has seen, please don't misunderstand."

Her tone carried an unusual caution, which was rare among the proud Spirit Race.

Chen Xi nodded, relaxed his mental defenses, and let the prophet do as he pleased.

The next second, a series of shattered and shocking images flooded his consciousness like a tidal wave.

Although these images are fragmented, the message they convey is exceptionally clear: a colossal humanoid creature, burning and breaking free from the confines of the hyperdimensional labyrinth, reveals itself above the planet Kiev, turning everything in its path to ashes...

The moon shattered during the violent collision between Kiev and the Orcs, and from the dust of destruction emerged a dazzling star comparable to a supernova…

Planets throughout the Rostov sub-sector were ignited one after another, and a star god summoned its torn fragments in the void, gradually restoring itself to wholeness...

There was even a horrifying scene of the Rostov II being burned to ashes, with Chen Xi standing on the ruins, roaring at the terrifying presence in the sky...

The sheer volume of information made Chen Xi feel dizzy. He had to press his temples and shake himself to recover from the shock of the prophecy.

When he spoke again, his voice was hoarse: "Why are the Star God fragments released by this Necromancer Dynasty so terrifying? It's almost as if the Superburner has been directly resurrected!"

Chen Xi could certainly recognize what that star god was, and he could understand what the scene he was seeing meant, but he couldn't understand why things had turned out this way.

The Eldar prophet's gaze became exceptionally complex. She hesitated for a moment before answering, "The specific reasons are very complicated..."

She paused, as if choosing her words carefully: "In your human language, it means that your appearance has interfered with the trajectory of fate and changed everything."

At this point, her voice became even lower, and she almost squeezed out the second half of the sentence through clenched teeth: "Even the fate of my clan has been affected."
