Chapter 294 The Battle of Kharkiv 2

Chapter 294 The Battle of Kharkiv, Part Two

Sea Hare ultimately chose the same Commander mode as Chen Xi and entered the 40k world.

However, limited by his current level, his available forces are quite limited: only a squad of Katachon jungle warriors, a Cardia Fortress Lord, and Sly Mabo.

After carefully weighing the points allocation, Sea Hare put all the remaining points into a Roger Dorn battle tank.

When Chen Xi saw the list of Sea Rabbit's troops, his gaze lingered on that familiar name for a moment.

Sly Marbo – a notoriously comical character in the Warhammer 40K universe – does possess the unique rule of tabletop combat, but his performance in actual combat is not particularly outstanding.

Chen Xi couldn't help but wonder if the sea hare was deliberately trying to cause trouble.

(Mabo's classic look)

(In the current version of Mabo, he can fire three shots and slash five times in one round, which is pretty good overall.)

"You actually chose Ma Bo?" Chen Xi asked, raising an eyebrow.

The strongest version of Marbo is probably the GW version 6 rules, where Marbo can appear anywhere on the battlefield and then throw a molten bomb.

Given the battlefield conditions at the time, this was indeed quite useful.

However, the strong one is not Marco, but the Molten Bomb. Marco is only useful because of his elusive nature combined with this skill.

However, in the current version of the rules, Marbo's attributes have been greatly reduced, making him the type who can kill Space Marines, but whose success depends heavily on luck.

Overall, instead of spending 65 points on Mabo, it would be better to consider spending 65 points on the first team's Katachan powerhouse.

More importantly, in the real Warhammer world they are currently in, Marbo's combat ability is probably only enough to barely take on a canned dog in a one-on-one fight.

Their strength is not weak, but it's not exactly strong either.

However, since the sea hare insisted on making this choice, Chen Xi didn't bother to interfere too much.

After all, the job he assigned to Hai Tu was of a special nature, and she did need a capable bodyguard by her side.

“Speaking of work,” Chen Xi pulled up a holographic star map, pointing to an ice-blue planet, and said, “Do you remember the medical planet established by the Regency during the Plague Wars?”

Sea Hare nodded; he was very familiar with that period of history.

“I have also prepared a similar facility in Kherson.” Chen Xi’s finger moved across the holographic projection, showing a deathly world covered in ice and snow: “This planet has been thoroughly surveyed, the environment is stable, and there is no subspace pollution.”

I had a basic ecological dome built. Although it's not as good as the medical planet created by the Regency, it's enough to house our wounded.

As the projection switched, a hemispherical transparent dome appeared on the ice field, with numerous buildings and some greenery vaguely visible inside.

Chen Xi turned to Hai Tu, "We're currently short of someone in charge, and considering your professional background, this task is perfect for you."

Upon hearing this, Sea Hare's expression immediately became quite interesting. He was a doctor in the 3K era, and he had been thinking that after traveling to the 40K universe, he could finally get rid of his white coat and pick up a bomb gun to wreak havoc.

Who would have thought that after going around in circles, he still couldn't escape his old profession of treating and saving lives.

Seeing the sea hare's contorted expression, Chen Xi, already prepared, unleashed his trump card: "Think about it, how much more advanced is the medical technology of the 40K era compared to the 3rd generation? Anything you take back would be enough to win a Nobel Prize."

He paused deliberately: "Don't you ever want to one day name something after yourself? Like the Sea Hare Award?"

This temptation truly struck a nerve with the sea hare, and he couldn't help but imagine the scene of his name being printed on the textbooks of the future medical school.

"Alright then." The sea hare finally sighed in resignation. "Is there anything else I need to be particularly careful about?"

Although he spoke reluctantly, he knew in his heart that the benevolent heart of a healer, dedicated to saving lives, was deeply ingrained in his bones—even in this crazy and dark fortieth millennium, some things would never change.

"There aren't many things to focus on. Aside from basic matters like the rehabilitation of the wounded and sick, which you should all understand, there are two main things you need to be constantly vigilant about—the aliens and the heretics." When this topic came up, Chen Xi's expression became noticeably serious, and even his voice lowered a few decibels.

He looked directly into the sea slug's eyes and emphasized, word by word, "The main concern regarding the Xenomorphs is preventing gene stealers. Although there is no concrete evidence of cunning activities yet in the Rostov subsector, those damned Xenomorphs are masters of infiltration and stealth."

By the time they reveal themselves, they have often already formed a vast underground network, and what's even more terrifying is that they will attract the attention of the Tyranids.

Chen Xi's fist clenched involuntarily: "I don't want to have to divide my forces to deal with the insect swarm while fighting the space undead! So you must ensure the genetic testing is flawless; it's crucial to the survival of the entire sector."

"Understood. I will strictly implement the genetic screening procedures for inbound personnel to ensure that no genetically contaminated individuals are mixed in." Hai Tu nodded solemnly.

The Empire does indeed have relevant detection technology in this regard. Although people always joke that the Empire judges your purity by the shape of your skull, this is actually just a sign of whether you have been contaminated by Chaos.

When humans are exposed to chaotic pollution, their limbs will undergo uncontrollable mutations, and skull deformities, the growth of horns, and the like are the most easily identifiable physical mutations.

As for mutations in other parts of the body, they were not so unacceptable in the Empire.

A rather darkly humorous fact is that, according to the Empire's standards, unless they have a third hand or a second head or some other mutation, the cunning ones are not considered severely mutated by the Empire's standards, and they can even join the Star Guardians.

This is quite a hellish joke, which led to the bizarre scene of the Star Guardians going to wipe out the cunning heretics.

"As for the heresy, I will send an inquisitor from the Holy Hammer Order to assist you. Just trust her professional judgment." Chen Xi felt that if Hai Tu still held onto the perceptions and benevolence of the 3K era, things were likely to go wrong. Therefore, he decided to send one of his inquisitors to him to ensure that no irreparable accidents would occur.

“Judge…” As expected, the sea hare hesitated for a moment, but then nodded to indicate its acceptance: “Alright, I won’t interfere with the judge’s actions.”

"I know some things are hard to accept, but that's just how 40k is. Get used to it slowly!" Chen Xi knew that Hai Tu might not be able to adapt for a while, so he patted his shoulder, indicating that he didn't need to force himself.

After letting out a long sigh, the sea hare said, "I'll adapt as soon as possible!"

"By the way, does your hospital perform rejuvenation surgery?" Chen Xi suddenly blurted out.

This surprised the sea hare for a moment: "Huh?"
