Chapter 253 More Reinforcements

Chapter 253 More Reinforcements

The detailed report that Chen Xi submitted to the court still focused on the threat posed by the Necromancer Kingdom in space that he was currently dealing with.

This meticulously compiled document not only contains a detailed record of the dynasty's recent activities, but also includes a wealth of firsthand information obtained from field investigations and tactical analysis.

However, in the report, Chen Xi cleverly inserted some prophecies and related intelligence about the imminent unfolding of the Great Rift, using cautious and professional wording to remind the Sector Tribunal that all signs indicated that the Milky Way was about to face an unprecedented upheaval, and suggested that the emergency plan be activated immediately.

It is worth noting that Chen Xi deliberately avoided any specific description of the thirteenth Black Expedition in his report, and did not mention the outcome of the Battle of Cardia at all.

Instead, he adopted a vague but cautionary statement: "Based on current data analysis, the Milky Way will encounter an unprecedented catastrophic event in the foreseeable future, the impact of which will far exceed that of conventional warfare, potentially leading to a fundamental upheaval of the entire Empire."

This statement conveys a sense of urgency while avoiding the potential criticism that might arise from revealing too many future details.

Upon receiving the report, the Star District Court immediately initiated an emergency assessment process.

In fact, this is not the first time that prophecies about the unfolding of the Great Rift have appeared within the Inquisition; there have been sporadic reports and prophecies mentioning similar possibilities before.

The value of Chen Xi's report lies in integrating these scattered pieces of information into a logically rigorous and evidence-based argumentative system, which confirms the inevitability of this event.

The high level of importance attached to the trial is largely due to the unique nature of the current war situation.

On the one hand, the expedition against the Necromancer Dynasty in space is at a critical stage, and any strategic warning deserves the highest level of attention.

On the other hand, Chen Xi cleverly used the name of Old Man Huang to emphasize the seriousness of the problem, which significantly enhanced the report's influence.

Of course, the report's warning about the imminent full resurgence of the Necromancer dynasty in space should not be ignored.

Chen Xi provided conclusive evidence that this long-dormant ancient race is awakening at an astonishing pace, with its technological level and military strength far exceeding conventional assessments.

This discovery alone was enough to trigger a full mobilization of the Sector Inquisition, since a fully awakened undead dynasty posed a threat to the Empire that, in some respects, might even be no less significant than the crisis brought about by the Great Rift.

Minutes of the tribunal's emergency meeting revealed that senior officials unanimously agreed that there might be some unrecognized connection between the two threats, which further reinforced the need for immediate action.

Among them, the inquisitors of the Anti-External Religion were the main core force mobilized.

These Inquisitors, who have dealt with aliens for years, each command a force under their command. These elite units are often composed of specially modified assassins, battle-hardened Deathwatch Space Marines, or well-equipped Inquisition Stormtroopers.

They have considerable experience in dealing with Xenomorphs, from the Orks' savage charges to the Eldar's treacherous tactics, and even the Tyranids' biological hordes, all of which have been targets on their kill list.

If used properly, an inquisitor can potentially determine the outcome of a war on a planet.

They are not only experts in exploiting the weaknesses of various aliens, but also adept at identifying the most crucial strategic points in complex battlefield situations. However, for the Inquisition, the Inquisitors alone cannot represent its power.

The true power of the Inquisition lies in its ability to mobilize other military forces of the Empire, from ordinary Imperial Guard legions to the most elite Space Marine chapters, from the Titan legions of the Mechanicus to naval fleets, and theoretically, it has command over all other Imperial forces.

This power, derived from the emperor's own authorization, allowed the judges to override the empire's complex bureaucratic system in times of crisis.

In other words, with the Inquisitor present, he could unite the Imperial armies that originally disliked each other and make them perform at 120% of their combat efficiency.

If the court were willing, the number of troops they could mobilize would not be less than the expeditionary force that Chen Xi currently commands.

After all, in many of the wars that took place in the Empire, the main organizers were only one or two judges.

With the Tribunal exerting its full influence to mobilize the army, the three million Ascendant soldiers originally planned for this expedition have completed their assembly ahead of schedule and are ready to go.

The four Astartes Chapters responded to the Inquisition's call, this time committing not just companies, but entire chapters.

More than three thousand Astartes have completed their assembly and are about to be deployed for battle.

This is an astonishing number. The last time the Imperium mobilized so many Astartes was during the Badab Wars, which was the largest Space Marine civil war since the Great Rebellion.

This time, however, four Astartes chapters from the Blood Angels and the Imperial Fist responded to the call of the expedition, bringing a massive fleet of more than a dozen strike cruisers and over three thousand Astartes.

The reason they responded to the call for this expedition was largely because Chen Xi sent star messages to the Holy Blood Angels and the Imperial Fist when he left Rostov.

The situation with the Blood Angels was simpler. Chen Xi simply explained that Rostov was currently facing a crisis of alien invasion and hoped that the Blood Angels could send some reinforcements to provide support.

After receiving the news from the stars, Old Master Dante naturally dared not neglect it. After all, Rostov was related to whether the Holy Blood Angels could stabilize Bloodthirst and Black Wrath. If something really happened, the Holy Blood Angels would be devastated.

Dante then sent two chapters that were on the verge of Bloodthirst and Blackfury. Although they had temporarily escaped Bloodthirst and Blackfury thanks to the Blessed Wine brought back by Mephisto, these two chapters not only had a bad reputation, but they had also fallen to the brink of betrayal, with one of them even being branded as a traitor.

Dante sent his two warbands with the hope that they could prove themselves in this expedition and wash away the shame of their past.

As for the Imperial Fist, it was even simpler. A package entrusted to the Inquisition was delivered to the Mountain Formation, and a support force consisting of the Black Templar Expeditionary Force and the Sky Lion Chapter set off.

Of course, they were accompanied by a special squad of Imperial Fist Mountain Guards, led by Company Commander Thor Garadon. Their mission was to identify more Imperial Fist 30k-era gene seeds mentioned by Chen Xi, and after confirming that they had not been corrupted, to bring them back to the Mountain.
