Chapter 205 Rick vs. Morty
In response to Rick's suggestion, Morty in this form looked Rick straight in the eye without fear, a cold smile playing on his lips: "Scared now, Rick? Too late. From now on, you will pay the price for your arrogance. I will show you that I can still rule everything without you."

Rick said casually, "Dominating everything? Not bad, Morty, that's more like my grandson. I'd like to see how you're going to dominate."

A green light flashed, and Rick's teleportation gun gleamed as he instantly appeared behind Morty, a beam of light shooting out from the bracelet on his wrist in an attempt to grab him.

Shadow Morty was prepared, his figure flashing into the shadows like a ghost, easily avoiding Rick's grasp. He then reappeared and swung his hand, sending a beam of dark energy like a blade towards Rick. Rick dodged to the side, the energy grazing his clothes and leaving a deep mark on a palace pillar.

Unable to hit Rick, Shadow Morty did not stop. With a wave of his hands, the surrounding dark energy quickly condensed into black tentacles, which lashed out fiercely at Rick.

Rick dodged nimbly, firing several shots with the teleportation gun and creating several spatial tunnels, causing the tentacles to miss their target time and time again.

Seeing this, Shadow Morty moved his hands rapidly in the air, and dark energy gathered in his palms into a huge black sphere. He shouted and threw the sphere at Rick.

The black sphere spun rapidly toward Rick, covering most of the portals Rick had opened within its attack range, distorting the very air around it.

Rick watched the rapidly approaching black sphere with a serious expression. He quickly input a series of commands into the teleportation gun, and just as the black sphere was about to hit him, he slipped into the green teleportation portal behind him.

Meanwhile, Shadow Morty guarded one of the few portal exits not affected by the black sphere's attack. The moment Rick appeared, the tentacles Morty had created suddenly changed shape, transforming into sharp blades that pierced Rick at incredible speed once more.

"Well done." Rick said, quickly pulling a small energy shield generator from his waist. Once activated, a transparent energy shield enveloped him.

The dark blade struck the energy shield, completely unable to penetrate it. Rick stopped dodging and a laser cannon appeared in his palm, firing a beam of energy that collided with the black blade, producing a blinding light and a deafening roar.

"You little rascal, you've got some serious skills." Rick said, pulling a multi-tool wrench from his pocket with his other hand. After pressing a few buttons, the wrench emitted a strange light and gradually transformed into a weapon resembling a laser gun. Rick was now dual-wielding these weapons.

Shadow Morty remained silent, but then plunged his hands into the ground, causing the entire palace to tremble violently. Black cracks spread from where his hands touched the ground.

"Oh? What kind of trick is this?" Rick completely disregarded Shadow Morty and even had the leisure to watch Morty use his tricks.

Shadow Morty generously explained to Rick, "Whether it's the black sphere or the blade, they are essentially part of the Shadow Kingdom. I control the Shadow Kingdom, and now I'm having this alternate dimension envelop this place."

Rick assessed his surroundings. Using the teleportation gun in Morty's alternate dimension wasn't impossible, but it would consume significantly more teleportation fluid. He figured he wouldn't be able to use it more than a few times before running out of fluid. Rick simply put the teleportation gun away and quickly pulled a miniature spatial disruptor from his pocket, throwing it out.

This was something he had invented to deal with various spatial blockade situations. He threw the spatial disruptor to the ground, and with a crisp sound, it released a powerful energy wave that countered the power of Shadow Morty's spatial blockade using the Shadow Kingdom.

The power released by this portable miniature device wasn't enough to completely break through the blockade of an alternate dimension, but it prevented Shadow Morty from freely traversing the Shadow Kingdom's space. Essentially, they each blocked one of each other's abilities. This meant that any future conflict wouldn't be a matter of dodging and weaving, but a direct confrontation.

"See? I only need to make a slight move, and that's the limit you can go." Rick couldn't resist spreading his hands and showing off.

Shadowdy remained unfazed, coldly stating, "This is just a minor incident, Rick. It doesn't matter if we're stuck here; once I kill you, it'll all be over."

As Morty finished speaking, dark energy coalesced into a massive black sphere, which slammed down on Rick.

The black sphere hurtled towards them with tremendous force, and Rick's portable energy shield instantly created an energy barrier in front of him. The moment the black sphere collided with the barrier, the force of the energy collision caused the entire palace to shake violently.

“Morty, you’re still too young. Grandpa’s going to show you why experience counts.” With that, Rick instantly deactivated his energy barrier and activated his teleportation gun. The teleportation fluid inside had already slid less than halfway down, and just as the black sphere was about to hit him, it teleported him behind Shadow Morty. Shadow Morty hadn’t expected Rick to use this move, mainly because he didn’t know what Rick was planning. Before he could react, a small device in Rick’s hand was already attached to his back.

"What did you do to me?" Shadow Morty asked, frowning. He tried to break free, but found that his body's power seemed to be locked by the device, and the dark energy within him began to become disordered.

“This is called an energy suppressor, but it’s not a big problem. You’ll be able to get rid of this suppression soon. Of course, after our main characters arrive…” Rick said, writing the final paragraph in the Book of Time, then took out the teleportation gun and left the palace.

Outside the pyramid, the real MVP, Old Man Daddy, appeared. He used his newly developed spell to first collect the two unclaimed demonic energies, and then extracted the other four demonic energies from the Shadow Legion soldiers and put them into containers.

Without the enhancement of demonic energy, the individual Shadow Legion was no match for Cheng Yiyi, Ai Haibara, and Lopez, and was quickly scattered into a cloud of black energy.

"Finally, these guys are taken care of. Next, it's time to deal with Morty."

"There's one more thing: this demonic energy needs someone to keep it safe," the old man said, shaking the glass container in his hand.

All eyes turned to Sheriff Black, who had been following them the whole time, except for handing his father some magical materials. He was the only one doing nothing, so being a mere bag carrier was perfectly natural for him.

“Alright, for something this important, as the Special Agent Chief of District 13, it’s only right that I take the lead.” Blake took the glass container from his father’s hand, adding a touch of pride.

"My power can no longer sustain this, so I'm leaving the rest to you. I believe you can do it!" Lope suddenly spoke, a light emanating from his heart, within which the rat talisman flickered.

"Thank you so much for your help," Chen Long said sincerely at the first opportunity.

"Thank you. As you wish!" The old man also paid his respects to the great master.

"Light and darkness are the two ends of a scale. Without darkness, light has no place to shine; without light, darkness has no darkness. The two are opposites, yet they balance each other and together maintain the operation of the world."

Light that is too intense will scorch all things; darkness that is not suppressed will devour everything. When righteousness prevails, an era of darkness will arrive, and when darkness devours everything, righteousness will awaken the warriors of the world… Friends, perhaps one day, we will meet again.”

As Lope spoke, he reached for his heart, pulled out the rat charm, and tossed it at his father. With that, Lope transformed back into a statue.

Although Lopez's closing remarks were quite sophisticated and sounded impressive, even making Chen Long ponder, Wuming in the group couldn't suppress his吐槽 (tu cao, a Chinese internet slang term for sarcastic or critical comments) spirit.

Anonymous (Tier 3, Anonymous): "That makes it sound like they have a very hard time meeting. Just stuff the Rat Talisman into the statue, and they can meet again, right?"

Quietly watching the show - Group Owner (Level 2 - Cheng Yiyi): "It's a good thing there are still people who can't see your complaints, otherwise it would ruin the atmosphere so much."

However, even if Chen Long and his friends couldn't see Wuming's complaints, others would still step forward to ruin the atmosphere.

Sheriff Blake hesitated for a moment before speaking, "Then... we don't need to keep carrying this sculpture anymore, right?"

It's clear that our Sheriff Black really doesn't want to carry the sculpture anymore.
