Chapter 191 Shadow Morty
At this time, Australia underwent tremendous changes.

The ominous black mist surged like a tidal wave, sweeping across the sky and tightly enveloping the entire land in its dark and heavy embrace.

The sky was no longer the azure blue of the past, but was covered by a thick black curtain, obscuring the sun. It was as if even the light feared this inexplicable force and chose to flee.

A thick layer of black mist shrouded the earth, pressing down heavily as if to crush the entire world. Ominous glimmers flickered within the black mist, with eerie green flames occasionally leaping out before being quickly swallowed by the darkness, leaving behind wisps of strange blue smoke drifting in the air.

The black mist was accompanied by low, wailing sounds, like countless demons whispering in your ear, telling tales of terror. It twisted and tangled, forming eerie, swirling black clouds.

Under the oppressive force of this power, the earth appeared utterly devastated. Cracks, like the fangs of a colossal beast, crisscrossed the parched land, their depths unfathomable. From these cracks, chilling auras occasionally emanated, echoing the black mist in the sky and creating an indescribable atmosphere of terror.

The buildings on this continent, whether towering skyscrapers or simple huts, were all corroded and mottled by the black mist. The stones on the city walls began to peel away, revealing the mottled marks beneath.

The doors and windows of the house were tightly closed, but they still couldn't stop the cold and oppressive atmosphere from seeping in. The people inside huddled in a corner, their eyes filled with fear and despair.

A stench of decay and mold permeated the air, the very essence of death and decay. The smell was nauseating, making even breathing difficult. Occasionally, a crow or two would fly through the black mist, their mournful cries adding to the eeriness and terror of this desolate land.

Throughout the streets of cities across the continent, shadowy figures constantly patrol the urban landscape. The types of these figures vary in major cities like Sydney and Melbourne. These figures, like watchdogs guarding slaves, survey the people of the city.

If Chen Long's father and the others were here, they would immediately recognize these dark figures as warriors of the Shadow Legion. Moreover, what appeared in Australia was not a ninja legion, but rather Shadow Legion warriors in various forms.

As is well known, the soldiers of the Shadow Legion can transform into shadows and move freely across any ground or wall. They move silently in the world of Shadow Space, and under the soldiers' guidance, the summoner can travel through space using the Shadow Kingdom.

Each shadow soldier possesses agile movements and martial arts skills, and also has the ability to conjure weapons from their shadows. Because they are formed from shadows, and each has red eyes, they never need to eat or sleep.

The Shadow Legion is also a crucial element throughout the adventure's world. Tireless, powerful, unwaveringly loyal, and capable of unimpeded movement, they can even travel through the Shadow Kingdom to the Dream Realm, making them both the best servants and the most terrifying adversaries.

Most of the story features ninja soldiers, but in fact, the Shadow Legion has nine different forms, which are divided into nine different battle groups. Each Shadow Legion soldier serves their master or the wearer of the mask.

The ninja group consists of human-sized individuals who move swiftly and possess excellent close-quarters combat skills. They are sometimes equipped with ninja weapons such as shuriken, katana, and staffs; other equipment may also be used at other times.

The Blade Clan, also known as the Shadow Claws, possesses hands that are hard and sharp steel claws, and feet that are sharp, cone-shaped. They have extremely strong close combat abilities and are exceptionally agile.

The Nightbats, also known as the Flying Shadows, are winged creatures that attack with light beams. The Trolls are all oversized Trulls, incredibly strong, but a bit slow.

The samurai are similar to the ninja, both being shadowy forces with strong overall capabilities. However, while the ninja emphasizes functionality and agility, the samurai are stronger in direct combat.

The Alien Legion, the ugliest of the shadowy legions, possesses bodies that can stretch and deform like toffee, exhibiting exaggerated elasticity and shapeshifting abilities. Among the legion's soldiers whose true forms have been revealed in the story, a guard once ripped off the hood of one of their soldiers, revealing multiple eyes and a terrifying appearance with a row of worm-like teeth.

The Shadow Eaters have immense potential. They start small but grow stronger by consuming shadows. In comparison, they're like a shadow version of the demon Pogon.

The Hunter Claws were quite unlucky in the storyline, being split in two, one half on Valmont's face and the other on Jade's. Because of this, the summoned Shadow Legion only had half their bodies, resulting in a rather comical sight of them hopping around on one leg. The Mantis Legion, with their mantis-shaped Shadow Warriors possessing immense spinning swinging power, were said to be the most powerful of all the Legions, but their appearances were brief and lacked impact. They appeared after the nine masks shattered and were quickly destroyed.

The method of controlling these shadow legions is through the masks of those generals. The ghost masks are very different from demonic energy. Demonic energy is just a pure power, but this power is biased towards evil. The absorber will still retain self-awareness, but the violent and destructive side of their personality will be amplified. However, they will immediately revert to their original form after detaching from the mask.

The Ghost Mask is different. It's not just pure power; it seals the consciousness of the nine Ghost Generals of the Shadow Legion within. Once someone wears the Ghost Mask, the Ghost Generals within will gradually influence the wearer, igniting the resentment in their heart.

When a person or animal puts on a mask, the evil thoughts deep within their heart are slowly released by the darkness emanating from the mask. Initially, it transforms the wearer into a puppet who seeks power and worships darkness, but ultimately it completely devours their original goodness and conscience. If a ghostly army is summoned while wearing the mask, the deteriorating effect will be accelerated.

Now, the master of the Shadow Legion is not a general, nor is he a ghost mask, but the leader of the shadows, the corrupted Shadow Morty.

Shadow Morty's skin was abnormally pale, almost a deathly gray-white with a bluish tinge, as if swallowed by darkness. His pupils flickered with an eerie black light, like two black holes drawing in all surrounding light, yet revealing a chilling evil and madness.

He was dressed in a tight-fitting black outfit, with wisps of faint black mist seemingly swirling around the fabric, as if it were part of his body, integrated with him.

These black wisps, like living tentacles, sometimes meandered and coiled, sometimes suddenly surged, as if they could devour everything around them at any moment. A putrid and chilling aura emanated from the black wisps, making anyone who approached them feel oppressed and uneasy.

Morty gets a +1 to his form.

The Parliament House in Australia's capital has been transformed into a palace-like environment, with an incredibly precious golden throne on the top floor.

Shadow Morty sat on the throne, enjoying the fruit and food fed to him by the woman beside him, whose expression concealed fear.

"Enough, Morty. I made you the Shadow King to conquer the world. You've only conquered one continent and you're already partying. I overestimated your ambition." Rick said, looking at his grandson's enjoyable expression.

"Shut up! Old man, who do you think you're talking to!" Shadow Morty roared in anger, shoving aside the woman beside him. Swirling in black mist, he floated into the air and shouted:
"In this endless darkness, I, the King of Darkness, am the sole ruler! I stand at the pinnacle, overlooking this chaotic world, and all things tremble beneath my feet."

My will is deeper than the night. Even if you are my grandfather, do not attempt to challenge my authority, for I am the supreme being!

My will is inviolable and unchallengeable. Anyone who attempts to defy me will feel the terror and despair from the depths of darkness. I, the Lord of Darkness, will crush all who dare to resist beneath my shadow army!

"Sorry, Morty, you still managed to scare me!" Rick slapped his forehead as he watched Morty's pretentious, childish antics. However, Rick remained remarkably calm; after all, this wasn't the first or second time Morty had pulled this stunt.

Rick doesn't mind Morty making things bigger, the bigger the better, that's what makes it more fun. But what annoys him most is when Morty gets halfway through making trouble and starts indulging in pleasure, then what's the point of having fun?

Morty: I wonder where I inherited my enjoyment genes.
