Chapter 454 Waist Card
The farmer was so grateful he didn't know what to do. He kept exclaiming that he had truly met a living Bodhisattva. He choked up several times. When Zhu Yu and the others were about to leave, he insisted on packing the things he could bring out into two cloth bags and making sure they took them with them.

“You gentlemen are all extraordinary, and you should look down on my rubbish. But our Brahmaland is different from other places. There are some things that money can’t buy. Take them with you on your journey, in case you need them.” He sincerely stuffed the things into the arms of the group.

Seeing the farmer's attitude, Zhu Yu realized that he would absolutely not agree to accept nothing, so he pulled out a small cloth bag from the two large bags. Inside were all the ripe apricots from the tree in the farmer's backyard.

"Master, since they're so sincere, wouldn't it be a waste of their kindness to refuse everything?" Zhu Yu waved the small cloth bag, barely bigger than a fist, in front of him. "Then let's accept this! Is that alright?"

"Alright, alright, how did I end up with such a gluttonous disciple like you?" Lu Qing gave Zhu Yu a reproachful look, then waved her hand in agreement, "Then take it."

Hurry up and thank them.

Zhu Yu, overjoyed, hugged the apricots to his arms and said to the farmer, "Then I really can't take any of the others, or Master will beat me!"

So later, it seems that the Brahma Palace also changed its strategy. As long as a doctor came to their door, even if they couldn't cure the patient, they would be sent out of the palace unharmed.

These people would often stay in the capital for a day or two, and many people could see them walking around outside. But then they would disappear again, and the people in the inn would not see them leave, nor would they be seen on the streets.

Rumors circulated that these people were actually decoys released to make people think that it didn't matter whether they could cure Brahma's illness or not, and that they didn't have to worry about losing their heads or anything like that. This was intended to attract more greedy doctors and witch doctors to treat Brahma.

But why assassinate these doctors who had visited the patients? That's open to all sorts of speculation.

Some say it was because the inability to cure the disease angered Brahma.

Some people say that it was because after entering the Prince's mansion, they naturally saw things they shouldn't have seen.

Those things were clearly things that Brahma did not want outsiders to discover.

"If that's the case, then wouldn't the Brahma Palace be piled high with corpses?" Yan Daoxin listened from the side, smiled, and seemed not to quite believe this claim. Seeing that he didn't take it seriously, the farmer became a little anxious. After all, this was a divine doctor who was willing to prescribe medicine for his child, and he didn't want to see anything happen to him. He quickly added, "I've never been to the capital in my life, so I don't know if it's true or not."

Yan Daoxin and Lu Qing thanked him again, indicating that they were not interested in gold, silver, or the riches and honors promised by the Brahma King, before leaving the courtyard.

The farmer wanted to chase after her to deliver the medicine, but Zhu Yu reminded him to go back and divide the pills for his child so that he could start taking the medicine as soon as possible.

The farmers then stopped insisting on seeing them off, and gratefully waved to them for a long time while holding onto the fence.

The four men led their horses for about two miles toward the main road. In the distance, they saw Fu Wen with a straw in his mouth, leaning against a tree, waiting for them in the shade.

Seeing them approaching, Rune spat out the grass stalks and quickly went to greet them.

"Master, it's all done." He nodded to Lu Qing. "Those people were guards from the Brahma Palace in disguise. They had received word that they were going to a villager's house in the next village to arrest the daughter who was hiding there."

But they were unlucky. They pushed the lady down first and fell into my ambush. Right now, those guys are probably still lying unconscious in the muddy ditch.

I also informed that family in that village, telling them to quickly send their daughter elsewhere to hide her temporarily, and under no circumstances let her stay in the original place.”

"Well done." Lu Qing seemed quite satisfied and nodded.

"Master, there's also this." Fu Wen didn't step aside, but reached into his robes, pulled something out, and handed it to Lu Qing. "It fell out of one of their arms. I saw it and picked it up immediately. Maybe we can use it!"

Lu Qing took it from his hand and saw that it was a heavy plaque with some mud mixed in between the uneven texture. However, it was still possible to vaguely make out that it should be a waist plaque of the Brahma Palace.

"Wow! This is quite a remarkable thing!" Yan Daoxin raised an eyebrow, looked at the object, and then at Lu Qing. "What are you thinking? Are you really planning to use this to disguise yourself and sneak into the Brahma Palace?"

"Let me tell you, everything else is secondary. He was, after all, a prince, and his residence was called a prince's mansion, but that's a far cry from the seriousness of someone sneaking into your carefree princely mansion!"

"Shut up." Lu Qing glared at him. "Do you think I don't know what you're saying? Who said I was going to infiltrate?"
With this waist token, you can get away with anything outside of the Brahma Palace, which is enough to make ends meet.
