Who let this Dementor into Hogwarts!
Chapter 21 Oh, what about the second day?
Chapter 21 Oh, what about the next day?
Thursday is the most hated day for students because it is full of classes.
The students' resentment ran as deep as that of the sexy witch in the popular section of the Daily Prophet, because the flying lessons most of the young wizards had been longing for would not be available until next week.
Fridays were different - at least not for the Gryffindor students, who only had one Potions class in the morning, which meant their weekend would come early after Potions class.
Harry received a letter from Hagrid at breakfast, inviting him, Ron and Corn to visit the cabin in the afternoon.
"No way, I can't go." Cohen spread his hands and said, "I have to go to Quirrell to return the book - he kept me in suspense. The book is only half full, and it's broken off at a very important part."
The afternoon is Cohen's social time, and his social object is the great sin value piggy bank, Lord Voldemort.
Now Cohen felt that he had been trained well. No matter how funny the situation was, he would not laugh. Before, every time he thought of Quirrell's dandruff sticking to the scarf on his head and being rubbed into Voldemort's mouth, Cohen could not help laughing.
In Potions class, Cohen watched Snape's bullying of Harry from the side - asking a newly enrolled young wizard to answer questions about next semester at the beginning of the class was a bit too obvious.
Snape's targeting of Harry was visible to the naked eye.
This was obvious to almost the whole class, especially after Neville exploded the cauldron ("Potter, why didn't you tell him not to add the porcupine quills? You think his mistake makes you look good? Gryffindor lost another point because of you").
"He hates me, I can see that," Harry said glumly after Potions get out of class.
"Why does he give me extra homework if he hates you...I was clearly laughing at you." Cohen was also confused.
Is Snape such a protective person that he only allows Harry to be bullied?
Merlin's mink underwear, what terrible British people.
"How dare you bring that up!" Harry immediately grabbed Cohen's neck. "You're the one who laughs at me the loudest in class!"
"I thought your ears were so red that you couldn't hear anything—"
"I heard it! With both ears!"
-
In the afternoon, Harry and Ron set out to find Hagrid, and Cohen also came to the door of Quirrell's office with the half of the introductory book on dark arts.
There were strange noises coming from inside.
"Master... please..."
"We can have a more... way..."
Is there anything new and fresh going on in there?
Although he knew that it was Quirrell who was talking to Voldemort in his head, Cohen still felt that it was a bit inappropriate to go in now.
But suddenly, the noise inside disappeared instantly, as if the people inside knew that someone was eavesdropping outside the door.
Cohen felt it would be rude if he didn't knock on the door.
"Boom boom boom!"
Cohen knocked on the door.
"Please, please come in..."
Quirrell replied in a weak voice, pretending to stutter again.
Cohen pushed open the door and saw Quirrell frantically tucking the large purple scarf around his head.
"Yes, Mr. Norton..." Quirrell forced a twitchy smile at Cohen. He was becoming more and more adept at playing a neurotic role. "Yes, do you have any questions?"
"Ah, I read the book you gave me - although it has nothing to do with Transfiguration - I still like the spells in it." Cohen said directly.
"Really?" Quirrell stammered joyfully. "Then—"
"What about the second half? Do you have the second half?" said Cohen. "The last section of this one is about the Exorcism Curse—I looked for other books for reference, but since I can't borrow books from the Restricted Section, I can only find a few old newspapers that mention it—it's about the making of Inferi, right?"
"Ha, no, Mr. Norton, I'm not sure about you, a little wizard like you..." Quirrell tried to show his integrity in a reluctant way.
"Isn't this the book you wanted me to read?" Coin looked at Quirrell sincerely. "I thought you would be more open-minded about the Dark Arts—"
"Let me talk to him..." Voldemort's voice sounded slowly.
"But Master..." "..." Cohen could not hear Voldemort's subsequent whispers.
"All right……"
Quirrell cast a spell at the office door, slowly turned his back, facing the back of his head towards Cohen, and took off his scarf in circles.
Cohen understood Voldemort's plan, to win Cohen over, or to Obliviate Cohen - after all, under Dumbledore's nose, he didn't dare to really take action against the students.
The long purple scarf fell to the ground, and Quirrell's head was completely exposed to the air.
Where the back of Quirrell's head used to be, there was a pale human face with red eyes that seemed to be emitting light, and below them were two snake-like nostrils.
Voldemort moved his stiff face and looked at Coin.
But Voldemort was a little surprised that he did not see any fear on Coin's face.
However, Voldemort believed that this was because Coin's desire for power overcame his fear of terrible things, which was very helpful to his plan - trust is not the basis of cooperation, but interests are.
"Very courageous... child..." Voldemort said in a hoarse voice, "I always admire courage. You want to learn more powerful magic, right..."
"Are you Professor Quirrell? Or—"
Cohen tilted his head and pretended not to know him - after all, "Voldemort" had been dead for ten years, and an eleven-year-old child might only know the name but not recognize his appearance.
“It doesn’t matter who I am…” Voldemort tempted, “But I can teach you knowledge…that which Hogwarts dares not teach you…powerful knowledge…”
"Oh? How powerful?" Cohen expressed reasonable doubt.
"I killed hundreds of people with my own hands... Every one of them was powerless to resist me..."
Voldemort hissed:
"I can give you power over everyone, and lead you to mastery... and even victory over death..."
"Hundreds..." Cohen thought about his own record. "What about the next day?"
"???"
Voldemort said nothing for several seconds, and the silence was awkward.
"I mean, you killed hundreds of people in one day, what about the next day?" Cohen asked seriously, "After all, Dumbledore said that when I was one year old, I killed more than three hundred people in an instant -"
"Lying is not a request for instruction—"
"Master... what he said is true..." Quirrell, with his back to Coin, reminded Voldemort in a trembling voice, "It was a test subject of the Burke family... It got out of control ten years ago... More than three hundred people in the laboratory had their souls sucked away by it..."
"..."
Does a monster like this even need to learn black magic?!
Isn't it itself the most vicious curse?
Voldemort wanted to scold Quirrell for not telling him about this earlier. Ten years ago, he must have been wandering around in spirit form and had no idea about this.
"Well, it's understandable that you haven't killed many people. After all, there aren't that many people in the wizarding world..." Cohen said regretfully, "How about this? You teach me more magic, and I'll grant you one wish. How about that?"
Whenever Voldemort needed help fulfilling his wishes - it was always the timid wizards who asked him for help.
I always feel that after Cohen said this, my value seems to have dropped a bit.
"Do you have any wishes that would come true?"
Seeing that Voldemort didn't say anything, Cohen urged, saying that he would not really help him realize his wish anyway.
"Grab a bunch of Galleons?"
"Stealing Hogwarts treasure?"
"I'd rather help you kill a few thousand more people. From what you just said, it seems like killing people makes you feel really good. Hogwarts lacks everything except living people..."
