Who let this Dementor into Hogwarts!

Chapter 12 A new sinful life begins

Chapter 12 A new sinful life begins
On the first day of school, Cohen gained a new understanding of the depth of human sleep.

Because Harry and Ron were sleeping and there was no way to wake them up - not even when Cohen stuffed his cold hands into their blankets.

Harry and Ron were like Sleeping Beauties waiting for Ginny and Hermione to come into the boys' dormitory and kiss them awake.

"Really not getting up?"

Cohen looked with pity at the two children who were sure to oversleep and miss their first period.

"call--"

"Hoo-hoo!" Ron even let out a light snort.

"We've tried, Coin." Seamus shook his head. "If we don't get to the Great Hall, we'll miss breakfast."

Cohen shrugged helplessly.

"Alright, they should be able to wake up before class. Count, remember to try to wake them up later..."

"Okay, okay, there's an extra charge for the owl wake-up service—" The Earl said lazily, hiding his head under his wings.

"Merlin's pants!" Seamus' eyes widened again, "Wasn't last night a dream!?"

"Once you accept that an owl can talk—" Cohen raised his eyebrows.

"What will happen?" Seamus hurriedly followed Cohen out of the dormitory, wanting to know where he bought this talking owl. "Did you buy your owl from some special owl shop? Is it expensive? I also want my mother to--"

"You'll find it very troublesome to have a swearing owl," Cohen replied. "It spent half the summer cursing at all my relatives."

Simo thought of Cohen's owl's extremely rude language and shuddered.

"That's still... I think my owl is pretty good - at least it won't suddenly point at my nose and scold me..."

By the time the two arrived at the auditorium, breakfast time was already half over.

After choosing a seat and sitting down, Cohen made himself a bowl of oatmeal porridge, two sausages and a fried egg.

Hermione Granger was sitting opposite Cohen. She was reading her textbook carefully even when she was eating - which made Cohen recall some bad memories from his previous life.

The King of Rolls really makes those who play badly feel guilty!
But Cohen didn't care.

Just eat when you eat, and never touch anything related to study - unless you have not finished your homework for a certain day and need to catch up during breakfast.

"Cohen? What are you doing?"

After finishing breakfast, Hermione looked at Cohen with some confusion as he carefully wrapped two sausages in oil paper and stuffed them into the outer pocket of his robe.

"Did you know? Hogwarts randomly spawns small animals. Feeding them can increase your favorability," Cohen said in a very nonchalant manner. "Sometimes you can even earn academic credits."

"You must be kidding." Hermione raised her eyebrows and held her head high with feigned confidence. "Animals don't give us extra points - I asked the seniors, only good performance in class -"

"Just think of it as a loving gesture. Whatever. I heard that every professor prepares very carefully for their first class for freshmen."

After Cohen packed up his things, he planned to rush to their first class - Transfiguration.

As one of the first students to arrive in the classroom, Hermione naturally quickly occupied the first row of seats.

She noticed a quiet tabby cat on the podium, but in order to be a good student, Hermione just quietly previewed the textbook in her seat.

But Cohen took out some snacks he had prepared as he passed the podium.

Cohen placed the packaged sausages next to the cat.

[Ding! Goodwill value +1]

This is the reward of love!

Cohen also received a gratified look from the cat, as if it was grateful for Cohen's kindness...

[Ding! Sin value +1] Cohen's rough touch on the cat earned a serious look from the cat, and she jumped onto the podium, farther away from Cohen.

"Didn't you say you should touch the cat's fur backwards?..."

"Cohen!" Hermione whispered to Cohen to come down quickly. She always felt that there was a teacher watching this classroom.

But when Cohen came down, Hermione still made room for him so that he could sit in the first row——

But that's clearly not Cohen's goal.

"Back row by the window, the hometown of the king!"

Cohen sat contentedly in the corner at the very end of the classroom, and remained indifferent to the disappointed look Hermione gave him from the front row.

Students poured into the classroom one after another, and Harry and Ron hurried over just as the bell was about to ring. They even complained together because they didn't see Professor McGonagall.

Naturally, he was frightened by Professor McGonagall, who had transformed from a cat into a human, and walked dejectedly to the only remaining empty seat - the last row where Cohen was sitting.

Somehow, it seemed as if all the young wizards couldn't wait to get a seat up front, which Cohen attributed to "the novelty of being a kid."

I believe that it won't be long before these children will be discouraged by the complicated and headache-inducing magic theory and magic three-dimensional function model, and then scramble for seats in the back row.

"Transfiguration is the most complex and dangerous magic you will learn at Hogwarts," said Professor McGonagall sternly. "Anyone who misbehaves in my class will be asked to leave and never be allowed back in - I have warned you."

Strict teachers always make children become extremely well-behaved in an instant. The classroom that was originally filled with whispers suddenly became silent.

Then, Professor McGonagall demonstrated an advanced Transfiguration technique for the students—she transformed the desk into a pig and then back again—and Cohen's eyes lit up instantly.

The change alone wouldn't surprise Coin, but Mag's Transfiguration was clearly not so... ordinary.

Cohen saw with his own eyes the marking on the pig's head that the desk had turned into.

[Soul Strength: 3]

After Professor McGonagall turned the pig back into a desk, the soul strength mark disappeared.

In other words, McGonagall's Transfiguration gave the inanimate desk a soul.

Do all Transfigurations work like this? Or... is it just McGonagall's Transfiguration?

Coin planned to find time to ask Professor McGonagall - of course, just to ask about the differences between the various Transfiguration spells.

Then, Professor McGonagall began the part of the class that the little wizards were least interested in - the theory of Transfiguration.

What McGonagall said at the beginning was correct. This was indeed the most complex part of the Hogwarts curriculum. If Charms was simply y=a+bx+cx+dx..., then Transfiguration was about finding a way to make a'+b'x'+c'x'+d'x'... and a''+b''x''+c''x''+d''x''... equal. So how do you change this magical input x? You need to first use the Existence Charm to analyze the target object's structure...

Of course, as first-year students, they don't need to learn advanced magic such as the Existence Spell. They only need to cast spells on specific objects according to existing formulas.

The first transformation experiment for first-year students is the simplest conversion of two basic variables.

Professor McGonagall gave each little wizard a match and asked them to try to turn it into a needle.

Most of the young wizards' attempts were ineffective because they didn't listen to McGonagall's advice at all. They just used their utmost strength and left the rest to a miracle - unfortunately, Transfiguration couldn't work miracles with just utmost strength, so it was a good thing that they didn't shoot the needle into the classmate in the front seat.

Coin successfully turned the match into a silver needle, and Professor McGonagall awarded Gryffindor five points for this.

Then, Hermione's magic took effect and the material of her matches changed. Although Professor McGonagall gave her extra points and praised her, Hermione did not seem happy.

"Cohen, how did you do that?"

After class, Hermione anxiously ran to Cohen's seat.

"That needle, I also followed the textbook and notes..."
