Chapter 870 "Shadow of Order" - Their equipment is far superior to ours; Corax is unworthy to lead us.

Nerat Gearing, the chapter leader of the 18th chapter of the Ravenguard, Ash Claws, stared angrily at the holographic image of the Iron Fortress at Stargate 42.

"What else did Corax say?"

"No, when Consul Carneus relayed the order, he only told me that the four thousand warriors of the 'Shadow of Order' 10th Legion would provide support, and that you and their commander would be in direct contact."

“Kirin, Corax didn’t even tell us himself, what else do you expect him to say?” Terran company commander Irogbnan said sarcastically.

"He never liked us, but has anyone ever seen him?"

The Terrans spoke loudly and resentfully, their pent-up anger and resentment of being abandoned pouring out.

"Enough!" Nerat shouted.

After the exile of former legion commander Alkahas Far, Balsa Kuturi gained the favor of Corax and, after becoming the head of the think tank, gradually drifted apart from them.

The Terrans spontaneously rallied around Nerat, the highest-ranking officer in the military, and his words quelled their anger.

He turned on his communicator and gave the order to the communications officer: "Establish contact with the commander of the 10th Battle Group."

“Lord Gearing, ‘Shadow of Order’ has sent a communication request. It is Ramsey himself, the commander of the Tenth Warband.”

Nerat paused for a moment, then immediately said, "Connect it right away!"

When Nerat heard Ramsey's voice, his memories were involuntarily pulled back to nearly 130 years ago, to the casting world of Shana during the "Second Dan War".

When he was rescued by the Black Emperor at Foundry 250, he was a Shadow Company Commander, while Ramsey was just a think tank member.

Now, although he has become the commander of the 18th Battle Group, he has no hope of being promoted to governor.

Ramsay, however, has become the lord of the Tenth Chapter, leading the "Shadow of Order" to absorb the wiped-out legions, making it the largest chapter with over 30,000 members.

The forces he commanded were larger than any of the consuls, including Carneus, and nearly a third of the Raven Guard's strength.

Since the founding of the Nineteenth Legion, before the return of the Father of Genetics, Korax, his genetic defects had plagued the Legion.

In moments of extreme pressure, they develop a peculiar fighting frenzy that drives them to fight in a brutal and ruthless manner, even at the cost of their own lives.

The Terrans call this defect the Ashblind, while the Salvators refer to it as the Blind Night. The black-eyed veterans within the Legion who abandon their disguises are organized into elite assassins, tasked with the most dangerous missions with no chance of survival, and responsible for raids.

Through limited communication with Kaneus, Nerat learned that Corax and Guilliman had engaged in several simulated battles.

Guilliman recognized the role of elite assassins and was the first to introduce "Ultraman," which was later spread to several other legions.

How many elite assassins do you have?

“Four hundred and eighty-one people,” Nerat told Ramsey without hesitation, giving him the exact number.

Under Horus's command, the Terrans assassinated a much higher proportion of elites than the Salvation aliens.

He would not reveal anything if questioned by other legions, including the Shadowmoon Wolves.

But Ramsay was the son of the Black Emperor and the lord appointed by Him.

"The fortress is heavily guarded; your men cannot breach its defenses," Ramsey stated bluntly.

“I will also deploy three thousand Dark Raven Guards,” Nerat revealed the full plan.

“They’re not like your elite assassins; they’re not good at head-on combat,” Ramsey stated bluntly again.

"I will dispatch 594 Terminators, 528 of whom will be equipped with the Hades type, and the rest with the Iron Cavalry type and Saturn type prototypes," Ramsey said.

Although the Warmaster limited the "Shadow of Order" to only four thousand men to assist the "Raven Guards," the Black Emperor ordered him to deploy the elite of the chapters to assist.

The "Shadow of Order" is far better equipped than us.

Corax is not fit to lead us.

"If I could lead the Terrans to follow my Lord, the supplies we receive would certainly be more equitable than they are now," Nerat thought to himself.

He then thought of the Black Emperor's words when he was in the Black Mist Kingdom.

Our Lord said that He would help us.

When I heard there were only four thousand people, I actually doubted my Lord; this was truly blasphemous. ] Nerath silently repented.

He immediately felt a significant reduction in pressure. While assassinating elites might be more efficient, a direct assault was still not as effective as the Terminator.

"I will send my top one hundred assassins to assist me."

After Nerat hung up the call, the Terrans who had been listening on the channel were overjoyed.

“With the Shadow of Order taking on the task of attacking the fortress, we can fight in a way that we are more comfortable with,” Irogobnan said.

“That’s right.” Nerat nodded. He could deploy more elite assassins as a sharp weapon to other important strongholds of Stargate 42, which would significantly reduce the casualties among Terrans.
