Chapter 868 Even Spiritual Vision Can't See the Blind King

Chapter 868 Even Spiritual Vision Can't See the Blind King
Lord San Diego Bergkamp of the Fifth Warband walked to the bottom of a hanging crystal hood and put it on.

"Retrieve information on the escaped destroyer!"

Electronic information flowed into San Diego's brain through the interface, and his obsidian eyes narrowed as he locked onto his target.

He removed his hood and, controlling his spirituality, sketched symbols and signs in his mind.

When he was the “recorder,” his brain had already mutated, becoming composed of activated symbols, patterns, and markings.

As a series of illusory symbols and signs are arranged, they form a stable spiritual gate, projected before the "traveler".

San Diego walked through the "Traveler's Gate," and a streak of light flashed by.

There were none of the various subspace anomalies that had become familiar over the past century: icy tentacles, eerie flames...

There's no need to be overly cautious or vigilant against predators that could appear at any moment.

[Compared to teleportation in the past, this is real travel!]
The traveler, San Diego, thought to himself that he felt his spirit was more vibrant.

A phantom gate materialized before him, and he stepped through the "Traveler's Gate."

San Diego's obsidian eyes swept across the bridge and spotted dozens of nobles dressed in fine silk robes standing around a throne.

The throne is decorated with red, yellow, blue and green gemstones, and a man holding a scepter sits on it.

The man was about forty years old, with a build similar to that of an average person and no special features in his appearance.

Only his eyes were like sparkling diamonds.

His pupils moved like insects.

At this moment, the left pupil slides to the lower right near the bridge of the nose, while the right pupil is pulled to the upper right corner.

The skewed, misaligned pupils looked strange and awkward.

"Enemy! Attack!"

He let out a strange shout, but the Shadow of Order felt it wasn't entirely a sound produced by vocal cord vibration; it sounded more like something wriggling.

Hundreds of elite guards from the Pezzella family raised their weapons in unison, and plasma jets from all directions engulfed the black-armored giant.

A dazzling stream of solar flames ignited a giant sun on the bridge, engulfing the thinker and the surrounding tangled cables.

The rising flames stirred up rolling heat waves, scorching the guards' clothes black.

The nobles cheered loudly, "The heretic is dead!"

Pezzella's eyes darted around.

No! He's there!

He suddenly stood up and brandished his scepter.

The guards had just turned around and were aiming in the direction their deity was pointing.

A black figure suddenly appeared and then disappeared.

A dozen or so blazing white spears flew towards different targets in all directions.

Flaming spears whistled through the finely crafted bulletproof armor, pinning the guards to the deck.

"This!" Pezzella spun the golden scepter again, channeling the attack.

The "traveler" completes journeys over short distances, his eyes flashing with the mantra "I came, I saw, I recorded."

He would sometimes unleash a "blazing white spear," and sometimes throw out a "wind blade."

The "traveler" kept "appearing" and gradually approached the magnificent throne. He quietly activated his spiritual vision and gazed at the person holding the scepter.

The Black Emperor is interested in the Blind King, who wants to capture the parasitic alien and present it to the Black Emperor.

San Diego stares into the eyes of the parasite, searching for the alien creature.

Ok?
San Diego's eyes flashed; he saw no unusual color in the parasite's eyes, which were a uniform yellow-green.

wrong?

His entire spiritual body was yellowish-green.

The body parts of a normal person are different colors; in a healthy person, the hands are red and the head is purple.

The parasite's body is entirely yellowish-green. [The information issued by our Lord mentions that after the Blind King parasitizes, it will gradually take over the host's mind.]

Therefore, he was completely parasitized by the Blind King, becoming one with him.
Once San Diego realized that the parasite had been completely enslaved by the alien, he no longer had any scruples.

The "traveler" suddenly appeared behind Pezzella, raised his left arm, and slapped down.

The moment the large hand slapped Pezzella's head, his diamond eyes shattered silently.

The sparkling diamond exploded, and two transparent insects burst out.

They flew out of the hollow eye sockets, and the corpses slowly fell down.

The two transparent insects were almost illusory; even the keen senses of the Shadow of Order could hardly detect their physical concealment.

They quietly dispersed, each flying towards a nobleman.

Golden light flashed in San Diego's obsidian eyes as he abruptly raised his hand, aiming at the charging nobles, who might be the targets of his parasitism.

He shouted in Dunn's language, "Parasitism is 'forbidden' here!"

A golden light suddenly burst forth, enveloping the dozens of nobles who were rushing toward the throne.

As the nobles shielded their eyes from the blinding light, San Diego's eyes suddenly turned deep and dark, and everything around him became vivid in an instant.

The shadow of order looks down on everything from a higher, more supernatural level.

Two transparent insects with mysterious yellow-green markings suddenly appeared in the "subspace vision".

They are of different lengths, one long and one short, the longer one stretching its body, resembling the middle finger of San Diego.

The short one is about the length of his thumb.

[The Blind King parasitizes humans, feeding on and reproducing through spiritual means?]
As San Diego pondered, he saw them surrounding the two noblemen.

They kept lunging into the nobleman's eyes, only to be bounced back as if hitting an invisible wall.

San Diego's eyes were fixed on the two blind kings. The long-lived body reacted immediately. It abandoned its parasitism, quietly left the nobles, and swam away.

The larvae react slowly, only starting to flee after two breaths.

Golden light surged in San Diego's eyes once more, and he raised both arms, palms facing the two worms respectively.

"captivity!"

The extremely viscous, transparent liquid clung to two blind kings, one long and one short, and instantly solidified into two pieces of amber.

San Diego flipped his palm and caught the two balls.

The golden light in his eyes faded, turning into a pale gold.

"Open your eyes wide!" San Diego's voice was deep and soothing, almost hypnotic.

"This is the blind king you worship, but he is nothing but a worm."

The nobles and guards, under the influence of "psychological suggestion," stopped in their tracks.

They stared at the two worms inside the amber.

"Lies! The Blind King is a great god, not a worm!" shouted the nobleman in his fine clothes.

"Open your eyes wide and look at the fallen corpses. Where is the god you worship?" Saint Diego stepped forward and placed the amber in front of him.

"Look carefully," he said in a deep voice.

"Are there bugs inside?"

The "psychological suggestion" echoed in the nobleman's ears. He stared at the insect, his determined gaze gradually becoming unsteady.

He lowered his head. "If what you're saying is true, then our faith is utterly ridiculous."

"Everything we did was so stupid."

“Good to know. Surrender and await punishment,” San Diego said.

[Even though it's an insect, it's still quite bizarre.]

Even those with spiritual vision cannot see the blind king.

Fortunately, I discovered the visionary talent bestowed upon us by our Lord.
