Warhammer: Black Emperor

Chapter 734 Artificial Gravity Well

Chapter 734 Artificial Gravity Well
The massive nuclear fusion engines spewed blinding light, propelling the main forging network of Glaia—the Crown of Glaia—out of the planet's gravitational pull.

The Crown of Glea, shining in the void, and rows of green machines, all turned and faced the same direction.

An elegant eagle with its wings spread shines on countless video screens.

Incense wafted from the censer, the hymn of Om Messiah resounded, and celebratory songs echoed across the sound array channels.

Lord Nimrod, the chosen one of the Om Messiah, the eternal ally of Glea, the Primarch of the Shadow of Order, the eternal victor of the enemies of mankind.

From his comfortable leather seat in the Black Eagle, Ninglu looked down upon hundreds of steel war machines scattered around the giant foundry.

Promethium fuel, fueled in muddy swamps, powers the industrial zone, keeping foundries roaring to life.

Small figures in red robes busied themselves like ants, directing machine guns and managing the precious refined gold deposits in the mining area.

Primarch's private pilot, Nelson, followed the guidance signals and landed the Skyhawk shuttle on the helipad.

The landing gear was lowered, and Ninglu, along with Eitsak and four members of the Honor Guard, walked off the deck.

Twelve sages stood on either side, each carrying an incense burner that shone with a green light.

Lord Wilshire of the Second Warband and Ramsay of the Tenth Warband strode quickly from the ranks.

Behind Wilshire followed his guards and a black-armored warrior with a falcon dagger at his waist. He was slightly shorter than Etsack, but much taller than average.

The bio-elemental psionicist Ramsay, accompanied only by members of his honor guard, stood 500 meters away at the edge of the helipad area, awaiting his employer's summons.

The two lords approached him, and the Ring of Unease seemed to merge like two bubbles colliding.

The Shadows of Order felt a chill run down their spines, and a torrent of intense thoughts washed over them.

The bio-chemical psionicist Ramsay felt the flesh and blood candles in his vision melting rapidly.

His obsidian eyes, identical to Nimrod's, shifted and landed on the black-armored warrior behind the Black Emperor, who carried the Spear of Dionysus.

The barrage of black spears made him realize that the untouchables behind the Black Emperor were clearly more unsettling than those who followed him, and their suppression of psychic energy was much stronger.

Ramsay pushed Thelma's mental state from the first level to the third level, calming the throbbing pain in her temples. Wilshire, who was in the first level state, spoke in unison.

"My lord."

Ning Lu smiled and nodded, leading the two towards Gloria's forging director.

Degoes-12 held the Om Messiah Scepter, and the sonic generator inside its sacred mechanical body emitted a stirring sound.

"My dear friend, this unit thanks Om Messiah for his guidance. We meet again. Last time we signed an eternal covenant on your Shadow of Reign. This time we welcome you to the Crown of Miracles."

"Greya salutes you / The crown is overjoyed by your arrival."

“Degoes, it’s an honor to accept your invitation,” Ninglu said with a smile, expressing his appreciation.
"It truly deserves the name of a miracle."

The Crown of Glea is a true industrial marvel.

The Queen Glory-class battleships, such as HMS Shadow of the Throne, were capable of serving as battle motherships for an expeditionary fleet, providing support in areas such as weapons manufacturing, but they were dependent on supplies such as raw materials.

The Ramirez-class star fortress can serve as a fulcrum for the entire theater of operations, maintaining and resupplying the entire fleet, and significantly shortening the course of the war.

The Crown of Glea is a mobile forging world. As one of the eight largest forging worlds of the future Empire, the main forging network's production capacity far exceeds that of forging worlds such as Incaladion.

It is itself a mobile industrial nation, with industrial complexes capable of meeting all needs, and even continuing to build warships and Titans during wartime.

"Thank you for the favor of Om Messiah // Our sacred covenant // We have found the fragments of the God of Machines' sacred artifacts in the mortal world from the war moon of the orcs." Degoes-12 raised his arm, and a green holographic image was projected in front of Nimrod.

The ring-shaped device shone brightly, and the vertical shaft buried deep underground was filled with mechanical cables.

Ning Lu stared at the artificial device displayed by the casting director for several seconds: "Gravity Well."

"As you can see, the twelve gravity wells deployed under the crown reduced the separation process by thirty-six hours and twenty-nine minutes, and reduced the average energy consumption of the solar system-like void flight by forty-seven percent."

"All technical data has been delivered to the furnace owner in accordance with the agreement/sharing//".

Ning Lu knew that the energy consumption of the nuclear fusion reactor that supports flight in the void depends on the overall gravity within the entire galaxy, and therefore the energy consumption varies in different galaxies and different orbits.

His eyes lit up; the orcs' artificial war moon and the Randan artificial war satellite were two long-term research projects.

Compared to artificial war satellites incorporating psionic technology, the orcs' idealistic Waaagh technology is more difficult to comprehend. The artificial gravity well is their first major breakthrough.

Ninglu nodded in satisfaction. [One step closer to possessing the ability to construct mobile star fortresses.]
Captain Schulzer, clad in crimson armor, approached Ninglu.

"Lord Ninglu, 'Dark Fire' is hereby ordered to report to you that ninety-four divine machines are awaiting your command."

Schulzer's face was filled with fighting spirit. News of the Titan Legion, the "King of Destruction," winning one glorious victory after another following Lord Horus kept coming back to the Eighth Underworld.

The "Dark Flame" that guards the sacred forging world had previously only been summoned sporadically by Lord Nimrod, earning some undeserved glory.

Now, the "Dark Flame" has finally had its chance.

They were led by Lord Nimrod, the Om Messiah Favorite who had retrieved countless sacred templates for the Empire.

Schulzer looked up at the Primarch before him, who resembled a marble statue and was even more imposing than the Warmaster Titan hidden deep within the Forging Temple.

“Schulzeller, it’s a pleasure to meet you.” Ninglu looked at the object of his “corruption” with a smile.

After exchanging greetings, he boarded the Land Rover that Gloria had prepared for him and headed toward the steel furnace.

The light and shadow flickered in the eyes of the Gene Primitive, passing over the dark spots.

His outstretched consciousness, passing over the surrounding roaring, blazing furnaces, and the war machines taking shape amidst the rising smoke, seeped into a heavy area.

It is one of twelve evenly arranged gravity wells, with densely packed generators that generate gravitational waves that are collected within the confined vertical well.

The vertical shaft penetrates tens of thousands of meters of strata, and on the other side of the Crown of Glea, it gushes out regular repulsive vibration waves.

[Good, relatively stable.]
As Ning Lu collected his consciousness, the Rand assault boat stopped in front of the opened gate.

He disembarked from the assault boat and followed the Degoes-12 to the holographic strategic platform in the center of the temple.

Before the machine that kept making clicking sounds, the mechanical tentacles swung, analyzing the rolling binary code.

The huge green holographic image in the central area shows stars in a steel ring.

Degoes-12 stepped onto the platform, his mechanical Ohm Messiah Scepter emitting a deep green light.

The holographic image rapidly magnified, revealing a dense array of red and green runes before Ninglu.

The Degoes-12 robotic arm retracted, and a sonic boom emanated from its chest, laced with fury.

"The High Varia is a huge threat to the entire Steel Ring and to Glea. Their hunters raided Narindi and Horaj..."

Nimrod turned his gaze to Narindi, a dark green standout among the thirteen marked worlds. He knew this agricultural world was vital to Gloria's food supply.

As he pondered, the casting director continued the update: "Currently, one hundred and four Titans of the 'Ripper' Titan Legion have been identified..."

After listening to the briefing from Degoes-12, Ninglu turned his gaze to Hofalbion and pointed to the star marked with crimson runes.

"I want to know about Hofalbion."

Two seconds later, the sound array system of Degoes-12 answered Ninglu's question.

"Hofalbion is the core territory of the Hydrirnox Syndicate // The Hydrirnox Syndicate is a nation composed of humans and aliens // The High Varia destroyed it in a long war."

Nimrod nodded. [Could the secret meeting of Hydrinox be related to the fragments of Birac?]
He guessed in his mind and then spoke.

"The Second and Tenth Legions will serve as two sharp blades, striking down Narindi and Horaj."

Red and green light flashed in the artificial eyes of Degoes-12, and Ninglu's decision to quickly strike Nalindi was exactly the result of his logic engine's calculations.

He was eager to reclaim the vital agricultural world and secure food supplies.

"'Morning Star' and 'Darkfire' strike 'The Ripper'."

“Schulzeller, you will lead fifteen Titans and follow me to Hofalbion.”

Schulzer's eyes lit up. "As you command."
