Chapter 677 Volkan: Koz, Nimrod provided refuge for many worlds.
Haratan.

Through the visor of his helmet, Volkan saw Cinderguard Gann, wielding the Stormshield, leading his warband toward the city walls.

Vokhan selected seven Firewood Guards whose spirit of self-sacrifice and independence far surpassed that of all other soldiers.

They can function as a whole, or they can operate independently.

Each of the Firewood Guards commanded a battle group, and Gann was their assault specialist, assigned to siege missions.

Wokan turned to the other firewood guards beside him; they had not been assigned any tasks.

He instructed his Firewood Guards, saying, "You are my finest offspring and my most trusted advisors."

"Our father molded us into an expeditionary force, commanding us to bring fire and light to the darkest edge of the galaxy. Our mission is to become a steadfast shield protecting humanity."

“We came to Haratan as liberators, not conquerors. Ruins and flesh and blood cannot create civilization.”

Unlike the other Firewood Guards, Igatalon, who habitually stood in the shadows, frowned and asked, "What about our cousins? Will they uphold this principle?"

Vokane noticed that Gann's spear was less than fifty meters from the city wall, and the city's defenders did not fire back.

A shadow appeared in his bloodshot eyes, and he silently quickened his pace.

“If the Lord of Midnight goes against the principles, I will demand an explanation from my brothers.”

"Father, the city is shrouded in darkness." Gann's voice came through the communication channel. Vokan quickened his pace; he could already smell the stench of decay emanating from the corpses.

His expression changed, and he started running.

boom!
Wokan leaped onto the city wall, looking down at the twisted corpses of the defenders amidst the rubble.

“They were massacred,” Gann reported after examining the entire gruesome scene.

Wokan leaped off the city wall and looked toward the center of Hatan.

The soldiers' bodies in the barracks were skinned and disemboweled.

The pile of corpses was still burning, and greasy smoke filled the air.

A sharp spike pierced a municipal official, while a civilian dangled in the air, swinging back and forth.

Vokhan's gaze finally settled on the bloodstains smeared on the wall. He didn't speak the language, but he recognized the messy handwriting and the sharp edges of the marks.

Nostrama language.

After turning on the communication channel and switching channels, Wokan waited in silence for a while before hearing a sharp, vulture-like laugh.

"Koz, what did you do?"

“I won’t let you get your hands dirty,” Conrad Coates said mockingly, “when you were still giving orders to your brat.”

"My order is to capture Numin as bloodless as possible," Volkan declared loudly.

“I don’t accept your orders, and I’d be better off doing it this way,” Coz said sharply.

“Whom is it better to do this? You slaughtered the entire city; men, women, and children all died. This is the kind of slaughter that Anglon would do,” Volkan vehemently denied. “You should learn from your other brothers. Nimrod would never do what you did.”

“Don’t confuse me with your hot-headed brother.” Koz stepped out of the shadows at the edge of the flickering firelight.

"And don't forget, Nimrod also wielded the sword in Terra."

“I’ve investigated. Those nobles have accused all of us and Astartes.” Vokhan, clad in a reptilian, ocean-green scale-like armor adorned with rare quartz, gazed at his brother, who was encased in midnight-blue armor marked with destruction and death.

“He was warning those nobles, not carrying out a massacre,” Vokhan shook his head. “Of course I would advise him to use other methods.”

"Nimrod provides protection to many worlds, with a 'fortress-level energy shield' protecting them from aliens and cataclysms."

Koz's gaze swept over the fire lizards decorated with flame patterns, then landed on a group of warriors in black armor, his mind flashing back to the river and the shadows that suddenly appeared.

As his face paled, Wokan strode over, his massive frame looming over him. "Look at the consequences of your actions."

"What are the consequences?" Koz's laughter subsided, replaced by seriousness. "I conquered this world for you. When the rebels across the planet hear what punishment we've inflicted on one of their cities, what do you think they'll do?"

“They would shrink back in fear and cry out for mercy.”

"This is a gift I brought for you."

Vokan shook his head: "Fear is not a gift, I will not accept it."

“Fear is the only thing they understand,” Coz said, disappearing into the shadows. “You all need to understand that.”

“We must speed things up and get ahead of Koz,” Vokan said.

"Liberate them from the Eldar and provide them with refuge."

At the same moment, in the fourth layer of the "Disordered Kingdom," above the black mist, Ninglu sat high on his throne.

He lightly flicked the data panel, and figures swimming in the sea flashed by rapidly.

Ning Lu paused for a moment, looking at the figure covered in dark red scales, with its large fish tail slapping against the rocks.

Nactus isn't just about Obnis, it also has mermaids!

William Wood is now qualified to be promoted to "Master of the Puppet".
Nimrod already possessed the potion ingredients for "Master Puppets" such as the Gorgon Basilisk from Kos, only lacking mermaids. [It must be said, Dora Koss had quite the foresight; during the "Ultimate Army Building," she chose a good homeworld for the children of Vokan.]

As Ninglu pondered, he put down the data panel and let his spirituality spread, touching the deep blue sphere of light.

He saw thick tentacles rise from the seabed, attacking the black stormbirds where the Ninth Battle Group Commander Szesny, the First Company Commander Jorginho, and the think tank Nicholas stood.

With a thought, Ninglu conjured up the real space shark—Sahadooin—and the transparent jellyfish-shaped Jalik, along with other potion ingredients, beside the furnace. The space ape then swiftly began concocting the "Ocean Singer" potion.

He also focused on the imagery presented by the orb of light, and Szesny infused the green teardrop-shaped rune with spirituality, shouting loudly in Dunn.

"silence!"

The tentacles suddenly froze, and the three men dressed in black robes leaped down.

thump! thump! thump!
The three fell into the water and swam towards the monster beneath the surface, a monster capable of swallowing an entire destroyer.

Obnis's large, twisted, black body was covered in patterns. It had three heads, each with fifteen eyes, and each eye emitted a green glow.

They each swam towards the middle of the three heads and entered the slowly closing mouth.

The three swam deeper into the winding, fleshy passage.

With a gurgling sound, the water flowed inward, and the three of them were tossed and turned in the waves, swimming through a tunnel of flesh and blood, until they arrived inside the pitch-black belly.

When the slime corroded a hole in their black robes, they all raised their hands, and a film of water rose around them.

The water film expanded and grew larger, transforming into a transparent sphere that enveloped their bodies.

With a flick of his wrist, Ning Lu produced three bottles of aquamarine potion.

With a thought, the black mist surged within Obnis of Naktis, and three vials of potion appeared in the palms of Szesni and the other two.

Nicholas examined the potion in his palm; it was without a ripple or a bubble, like an ocean brewing a storm.

The three of them tilted their heads back and drank the cold liquid, which immediately numbed their esophagus.

As the icy numbness spread to their stomachs, they simultaneously heard countless sounds, as if all the creatures of the Narctis Ocean were singing in unison.

The three Astartes immediately shut down Lyman's Ear.

The sound became a little muffled, but could still be faintly heard.

thump……

As their two hearts pumped, Obnis's gaping maw closed completely, and the three people in his stomach seemed to sink into a completely isolated dark world.

With each heartbeat, blood, spirit, and sound surge forth.

The throat trembled and tore, then healed again.

The three of them felt a tickle in their throats and simultaneously let out a huge roar.

Amidst the roars, their spirits tore slightly, and as the sound waves spread, mottled scales grew on their skin, followed by the pulling out of strips of flesh that swayed like tentacles.

The sound waves, along with the fragments of the spirit, struck the slime, then bounced back and poured into their bodies.

Black mist surged, and the Black Emperor, seated high on his throne, uttered a majestic voice, "Sing!"

The three instinctively complied and sang in unison.

The worker from Szesny had the loudest voice.

Jorginho, who grew up by the sea, has a raw and hoarse voice.

Nicholas, born in the Fenris storm, had a voice like a knife scraping.

The singing echoed and rebounded, the sonic furnace refining their bodies.

In their singing, they gradually restrained their scattered spirituality.

The three of them shook hands in unison, praising and thanking the Black Emperor.

"Thank you my Lord."

After thanking the Black Emperor, the three newly minted "Ocean Singers" swam upstream and came to the closed giant teeth.

After the three "Ocean Singers" looked at each other, Jorginho spoke.

"I come."

The "Ocean Singer" recalls the song of the Cradle of the Sea praising the arrival of the Black Emperor and how he saved them from the monstrous blade of Flao, and then begins to sing.

"The Coral Sea was stained crimson with blood..."

As the beautiful voice of the "Ocean Singer" echoed, Obnis, lost in a daze, opened and closed his mouth.

Its cry rang out, and the three of them were blasted away.
