Chapter 607 The Challenge Issued by Company Commander Abaddon
Three months after Howard Findl landed in Druhn, he stood in the command base, listening to a report from the think tank in front of him.
"Arbitration Lord, it has been confirmed that Calchin's Nest is one of the many psionic nodes of the Enslavers, and it is located near the center."
"Once this node is destroyed, other affiliated psionic nodes in the vicinity will be cut off from the enslaver's network, resulting in psionic decay."
“We will make a breakthrough in one-tenth of the area of Druhn, which will significantly shorten the course of the war.”
Howard nodded slightly. "Target locked on Calchin, let's go."
When Howard arrived at the eastern part of Calchin's Nest City, dense pearly white wolf head runes surged on the tactical interface of the Vostronian Rhino Command Vehicle, indicating that the "Shadowmoon Wolf" was launching an attack on this node.
He looked at the holographic display screen; the exhaust plumes of the diving aircraft were dazzling, and missiles mounted on their bellies poured down.
The first missile detonated almost in the middle of the gleaming white spire of Kalchin, while the second missile detonated one centimeter lower.
The massive explosion lowered the protective force field.
Howard knew that the protective force field was released by the enslaved psionic puppets.
After being enslaved, they became portals, food, and puppets, but their connection with the Warp also became closer.
The Black Emperor described it this way: "In the past, they were water pumps; now they are part of the vast ocean themselves."
Although many psykers "possess" power comparable to the Legion's intelligence, and some powerful individuals are even more powerful than the intelligence, Howard believes that no one would envy these puppets.
Howard's fingers flew across the screen as he checked his contact log to make sure he hadn't missed any messages.
Calchin is not a target of the Shadowmoon Wolf and has not been marked until now.
One sidereal time ago, he sent a brief generalized operational plan to Shadowmoon Wolf and Deathguard.
Howard frowned slightly. The reason why "Shadowmoon Wolf" suddenly attacked his target was worth pondering.
He asked his adjutant, "Have you confirmed the company identification code?"
"My lord, First Company," Howard's helmet-mounted communicator rang before the adjutant could finish speaking.
"My lord, Azeroth Abaddon has sent a communication request."
[Abaddon, 1st Company Commander.] Howard repeated the name, "Connect."
“Fender,” Abaddon said in a strong voice, “my company is passing through here. Let’s have a race to see who can take control of the key nodes first.”
"Let me tell you, my Catalan raiders have already stormed into the city."
Howard heard Abaddon explain why he had suddenly appeared, but he didn't hide the Astartes' innate fighting nature.
His words concealed a sharp edge; the first company commander of "Shadow Moon Wolf" challenged the first regimental commander of "Shadow of Order".
Just as the battle records of the two legions are often compared, he and Abaddon are also a hot topic of discussion.
Especially after he led the counterattack against the "Randan War" in the new district of Colonid and outside the northeastern region of the galaxy, together with the Sixth, Seventh and Eighth War Groups.
“I accept.” Howard immediately hung up the communication and switched the warband’s communication channel.
“Abaton, the first company commander of ‘Shadowmoon Wolf’, has sent a speed challenge.”
"I have accepted the challenge."
"Technical Sergeant, deploy the Blackstone device. I need to break through the psionic field shield within three minutes."
“Yes, sir,” the technical sergeant replied.
To the right of the Vostok Rhino command vehicle, a black vehicle slowly moved forward.
It was modified using the most versatile Land Raider as its chassis.
The black pillar, measuring 3.3 meters long, 1.1 meters wide, and 2.4 meters high, was constructed from black stone mined from the planet Vigilance.
On top of it are two black pillars, like antennas.
After several experimental deployments, the Blackstone device has achieved improvements in miniaturization, practicality, portability, and control.
Five technical sergeants stood on the left, right, and rear, their servo arms moving rapidly behind them.
Two minutes and thirty seconds later, runes, a mixture of space undead and humans, lit up one by one.
Think tanks within a 1.5-kilometer radius were immediately rerouted.
Howard looked at the images fed back by the Ether Detector in front of him. As the Black Stone device moved forward, the psionic barrier receded like a tide.
"Break the city!"
At the same moment that Osiris created the Sicaran Longbow, he began bombarding the area.
“Katuran, Katulan…”
Abaddon roared as he suddenly lost contact with the Katuran Raiders, a sense of foreboding creeping into his mind.
The seasoned Katuran, always the vanguard and a seasoned assault unit, had won countless victories. Could they really be controlled by psionic tentacle monsters? Abaddon refused to believe it; it must be communication interference.
He pinpointed the location where Katuran lost contact, which should be very close to the node.
"go ahead."
Wearing the Terminator armor, Abaddon's agility is no less than that of any Shadowwolf in power armor.
His sword strikes were both ferocious and skillful.
He raised his arm, using the armor on his forearm to block the incoming flames.
The scorching psionic flames did not slow him down; instead, they made him even more ferocious.
The massive body appeared before the psionicist in an instant, wielding a sharp blade that swept the psionicist into a pool of blood mist.
Once Abaddon decides to launch a decisive attack, he immediately transforms into a tank and crashes into the road.
He strode through the psionic lightning and charged across the flames.
The roaring sword flashed, and the charged iron fist roared.
As the runes in the helmet visor zoomed in rapidly, he finally found his Katulan.
Only four remained, and what chilled Abaddon even more was that their backpacks spewed flames, a barrage of roaring bullets rained down, and chainsaws roared as they attacked.
Abaddon felt a tickle on his head. "Alien, don't try to control me."
He roared at the alien creature with sixteen eyes, which was five stories high in the sky.
The charged iron fist slammed angrily into a Katuran Commando, the violent force shattering the power armor like cardboard.
He swung his sword and severed the chainsaw along with his body.
Abaddon leaped toward the pristine white building and raced upwards at breakneck speed, faster than a psionic lightning bolt could travel.
In the blink of an eye, he reached the rooftop and charged forward.
Flames engulfed the building, and he soared into the sky amidst the heatwave, charging towards the alien.
Rumble!
The tattered, gray armor slammed into the psionic shield, and the bodies of the two psionicists were torn apart by the ever-increasing force.
The twelve psionicists trembled as they were slammed to the ground by the surging power.
Abaddon's ascent slowed, and he was soon captured by psionic lightning and flames.
The Terminator armor shattered completely, and he was sent flying backward.
The arriving Gastrin Terminator charged half towards the company commander and the other half attacked the aliens in the air, forcing him to change his target.
"I...it's okay..."
Abaddon broke free from his support; blood trickled from his eyes and the corners of his mouth, but he still stood defiantly upright.
He suddenly turned his head and looked at the figure in black armor.
Howard Finder, the first chapter commander of the "Shadow of Order" and the Arbitration Lord.
Howard's gaze swept over Abaddon and landed on the twenty-three surviving psykers.
The "judge" shouted at the Gastrin Terminators, "Cease fire!"
The judge's indescribable authority caused the Gastrin Terminators to instinctively halt their attacks.
Taking advantage of this moment, the "judge" raised his arm, pushed his palm forward, and shouted in Dunn's tongue:
"Psychic powers are forbidden here!"
"Subspace forces are prohibited here!"
Amidst an ineffable voice of authority, the psionicist collapsed to the ground.
The enslavers' connection with them was forcibly severed.
Within the "judge's" pupils, the bright spot grew larger and brighter, like a bolt of lightning suddenly piercing the sky.
Two bolts of lightning generated by "mental piercing" shot out like bombs, shining into the sixteen eyes of the enslaver.
The enslaved people suddenly huddled together and then fell.
“I think he should belong to me,” Howard said, staring at Abaddon.
Abaddon, knowing that Lord Nimrod had a fondness for all sorts of strange creatures, said, "Alright."
He stared at Howard for several seconds before turning and leaving.
What did the incantation he was chanting mean?
Howard Finder is incredibly strong; he easily dealt with the powerful alien.
