Chapter 339 Old Man Huang and Magnus's Warm Embrace
Chapter 339 Old Man Huang and Magnus's Warm Embrace
Prospero.
A golden stormbird swiftly swept across the clouds.
Ninglu looked down through the viewing window.
Amidst rolling mountains, lush forests, and towering, uneven buildings, a lost ancient city stands.
Ning Lu knew that a deadly crisis lurked beneath the beautiful scenery below.
Swarms of Soul-Eating Bees were hidden among them.
Prospero's human civilization was destroyed thousands of years ago by the plundering of the Soul-Eating Bees.
Magnus believes that the unusual warp fluctuations caused a burst of psionic energy from the Prospero inhabitants, attracting the Psionic Bees, which feed on psionics, to this world.
The surviving humans fled to Tizka and struggled to survive.
After studying with many schools of thought in Tizka, Magnus survived alone for forty days in a wilderness ravaged by Soul-Eating Bees, where he met his future squire, Amon.
However, the Soul-Eating Bees took advantage of this opportunity to raid Tizka's base. Magnus, returning in anger, awakened his genetic memories and managed to eliminate the invading Soul-Eating Bees.
Nimrod knew that even to Astartes, the Soul-Eating Bees were a dangerous species.
This is especially true for psionicists; when psionic energy kills the spirit-devouring bees, it's like a dazzling light attracting predators.
But the extraordinary ones are different; when they use their extraordinary abilities, they do not attract more and more Soul-Devouring Bees.
As Ninglu pondered, he saw the churning waves.
Fishing boats set sail in the crescent-shaped bay, bringing back loads of seafood for the residents of Tizka.
He knew that before the mechanical psionic battleships were widely adopted, could precisely control the weather in Tizka, and bring abundant produce, seafood was still the main food source for the inhabitants of Tizka.
The Soul-Eating Bees nest in dilapidated buildings, and Tizka's survival near the sea is not entirely due to luck.
The stormbirds continued flying south.
Ninglu looked down at the city, where there was a spacious square in the center.
He knew that it was the Secret Eye Square of Tizika.
In the center of the square stands a tall stone column in the Doric style, topped with a burning brazier.
Nimrod knew that before the Long Night, the inhabitants of Prospero had used underground bronze tools to communicate with Terra.
That stone pillar is the only remaining relic, and no one has been able to reactivate it yet.
Ninglu also saw that, centered around the Secret Eye Square, eighty-one roads had been planned, and the residents of Prospero were busily carrying out construction.
Magnus's arrival brought them new hope.
They no longer eked out a living by hiding from the Soul-Eating Bees, and ushered in a new era of development.
"Land on the flat ground next to the Red Giant," the Emperor commanded the pilot.
Ninglu looked down at the ground and saw a tall, red-skinned giant in a white robe standing in front of the open space, looking up at the Stormbird.
Magnus had not yet lost his right eye; his eyes were now a vibrant green.
Magnus's eye color is not fixed; the multicolored light constantly changes.
Behind him stood another person dressed in white robes, who followed his gaze.
Ninglu knew that it was Amon, the future Primarch Attendant, the company commander of the Ninth Society.
The stormbirds landed slowly, and Ninglu followed Old Man Huang down the deck.
"Father."
"My son."
Ninglu saw Magnus walk towards Old Man Huang with a smile on his face, and the two then embraced warmly.
The scenes of meeting Huang Laohan were different from those he witnessed with Riemann Russ, Finus Manus, and Vokhan.
Magnus and Old Man Huang showed no signs of awkwardness at their first meeting; they acted as if they had known each other for many years.
Just as Nimrod remembered, they embraced each other intimately, like a father and son reunited after a long separation.
[Indeed, they have known each other for many years, and Magnus has never left Old Man Huang.]
He possesses powerful psychic abilities, and while in the incubation chamber, he created ten layers of mental techniques.
Using mental techniques, he traveled through the ether and frequently communicated with Old Man Huang.
Nimrod thought of being "corrupted" by Hathor Matt, who was loyal to him.
[Only Magnus himself has mastered the tenth level of mental state, and only Azek Ahliman has mastered the ninth level.]
As the future head of the "Bright Feather School" temple, Matt has mastered the first eight levels.
He can at least bring back the first eight levels of mental state and the Bright Feather technique to me.
Magnus and the Emperor embraced for several seconds before separating.
“Father, welcome to our home. I have been looking forward to this day for a long time.”
“My son, I have been looking forward to this moment as well. Now is the time.”
The Emperor then gestured for Ninglu to step forward: "Besides me, there is your brother, Ninglu, who came to your world with me."
“Your legion has been under his command.”
"I think you won't feel like strangers to each other, and you'll have a lot in common."
Magnus, who fully understands his own birth process and has complete memories of it, is deeply impressed by Nimrod.
Back in Terra Labs, only one of the brothers possessed consciousness; the number on that incubation pod was XI. "Ninlu, welcome," Magnus said in a deep voice.
“Magnus,” Nimrod said with a smile, meeting Magnus’s azure eyes, “it’s a pleasure to meet you.”
His gaze lingered almost imperceptibly on Magnus's waist for a moment, on the cover of the book, where a faint spiritual glow emanated.
[The skin of a Soul-Eating Bee.]
“Amon,” Magnus introduced to the Emperor and Nimrod, “my former mentor, one of the nine masters of Tizka.”
“Amon, my father, the Emperor of Mankind, is the Ultimate I told you about.”
"He is an existence that transcends all limitations, an existence that can maintain perfection in both the physical and the illusory universes."
"Ninglu is the most perceptive and insightful among my brothers."
"Your Majesty, the Great Ultimate One, I salute you." Amon bowed respectfully.
"Lord Ninglu, welcome. Our mentor Magnus often mentions you to us."
Magnus had become the leader of all schools of thought, and in Tizika, a place with a strong academic atmosphere, Amon referred to his former apprentice as his mentor.
“Father, Ninglu, please come with me. I have prepared a welcome celebration for you.”
Led by Magnus, the Emperor and Nimrod followed behind him, traveling eastward.
Amon walked on the other side, curiously observing the Emperor and Ninglu.
The sun was warm and pleasant, and a gentle sea breeze swept across the streets.
Wherever Magnus went, the inhabitants of Tizka bowed respectfully, expressing their reverence for the red giant who led them to a new life.
The three arrived at a fortress at the foot of the mountains on the east side, where Magnus began to describe his vision of the future of Tizka.
"The port is located in the north of the future Tizka, in the old town where most ordinary people used to live."
"Where we are standing now is the place where I first set foot in Prospero."
"A fortress in the mountains, and also a refuge for psionicists to escape predation by creatures called Soul-Eating Bees."
Ninglu keenly noticed a flicker of fear in Amon's eyes when Magnus mentioned the Soul-Eating Bee.
Magnus noticed the emotions of his followers and his friends, and he offered them warm comfort.
“I will bring new life to Tizka, and the Soul-Eating Bees will no longer trouble us.”
He turned to look at the Emperor and Ninglu, his eyes flashing with golden light.
"I will build a new city on the flat western plains."
"This is the plaza where you landed. I have planned eighty-one streets around it, and that will be the main settlement area for the Tizka in the future."
Nimrod knew that Magnus had succeeded.
The city of Tizka that he built, if judged by the standards of a city, far surpasses Terra and any of the future cities of Kos and Macurag in many aspects, including productivity and the happiness of its residents.
Each of the Thousand Sons can be considered a scholar in a certain field, and their wisdom is concentrated in one city.
They used psychic powers to create the perfect environment.
The City of Light truly lives up to its name.
Prospero only has Tizica, while Kos and Macurag have many cities.
The City of Light will also be reduced to ruins.
Ning Lu felt a pang of sadness as he thought about this.
The Tizka people, struggling to survive, make the most of all resources.
Yes, we should have Matt and the Shadow Order stationed here keep an eye on the secrets of the Thousand Sons.
An energy array combining technological and psionic principles; sustainable energy; hydroponic gardens carved out of underground caves in mountains…
Magnus led the two men up the ridge and toward the fortress.
Ninglu noticed that the fortress was surrounded by shimmering runes.
A psionicist, with a Prospero scimitar at his waist and a staff in hand, patrolled vigilantly.
Ninglu knew that Prospero's most elite auxiliary force in the future—the Spire Guards—would all use scimitars as their melee weapon.
Upon entering the fortress hall, many scholars dressed in white robes gazed at the three towering giants.
Magnus walked onto the round platform, which resembled a scholar's lecture platform more than a throne.
As the leader of all schools of thought, Magnus looked at everyone.
"Heads of the Temple, disciples who have received enlightenment."
"The perfect being who transcends me and everything else, the Ultimate One, has come to our side."
"Please join me in offering our loyalty to the beloved Emperor."
The red giant knelt on one knee, and the figure in the white robe knelt down as well.
……
The Emperor only stayed in Prospero for two days. Since they frequently communicated with Magnus in the warp, there was no need for them to stay there permanently.
Nimrod did not leave; he remained in Tizka.
