Chapter 338 Tricky
Sun Zhiwei's gold mine is called 'Swell Gold Mine'. It has only one shaft with more than 200 miners working in three shifts.

There is a residential area surrounding the mine, where most of the miners live. The mine's leadership also works in one of the three-story buildings.

The young clerk drove Sun Zhiwei directly to the office building.

It was already afternoon, and although Sun Zhiwei was hungry, he had no appetite. All he wanted to do now was figure out what these people were hiding.

As Sun Zhiwei got out of the car, the young clerk deliberately walked ahead and loudly introduced the functions of the surrounding buildings.

Sun Zhiwei did not stop him from doing his little tricks.

Letting the people inside know of his arrival will allow them to gather together, saving him the trouble of searching for them one by one.

Soon, a commotion broke out inside the building; clearly, they had discovered Sun Zhiwei's arrival.

Led by a young clerk, Sun Zhiwei slowly entered the building. Before he even reached the second floor, a group of people quickly walked down from upstairs.

The leader was a middle-aged man with a thick beard wearing a suit, who greeted them with a big smile.

"Hello Chairman, I am Mine Manager Tok Curry. I'm sorry, I'm busy here and couldn't pick you up."

Sun Zhiwei gave him a deep look, then said calmly, "Let's go. Department heads, bring all the mine's data from the past ten years. We'll go to the conference room for a meeting."

Upon hearing this, everyone's eyes turned to Mine Manager Curry, and Sun Zhiwei immediately turned around, staring expressionlessly into Curry's eyes.

Curry felt a chill run down his spine as he was stared at by his cold eyes, and quickly turned his head away to avoid his gaze.

He replied, "Okay, Chairman, then let them get the documents. I'll take you to the main conference room first."

Upon hearing this, the others scattered like birds and beasts, turning back to retrieve their documents.

Mine manager Kuri led the way, and soon they arrived at the large conference room on the third floor, which could accommodate 50 people for a meeting.

Ten minutes later, all the department heads gathered in the conference room, each with two subordinates and carrying a lot of documents.

Sun Zhiwei sat at the head of the table. After everyone was seated, he dismissed his subordinates who had come with him and instructed them to close the conference room door after they left before starting the meeting.

Curry, as the mine manager, spoke first, and his first task was naturally to introduce everyone:
"This is Aria Hernandez, the head of the finance department, and Vio Cooper, the deputy head."

"This is Oliver Ike, the production manager, and Rand Baldwin, the deputy manager."

"This is Baron Hoffman, the head of the security department, and Marvin Hill, the deputy head."

"This is Baron Bailey, the captain of the security team, and Bud Anderson, the vice captain."

"This is Zorn Moreno, head of the technical department; Della Jennings, chief of staff; and Brian Clark, deputy mine manager."

There are twelve management members in total, but Curry introduced the highest-ranking deputy mine manager last, after himself.

Such obvious rejection made him turn his gaze to the expressionless deputy mine manager, Clark, and take a closer look.

After listening to the introduction, Sun Zhiwei nodded: "I won't introduce myself, everyone should know me. This is my first time here, I need to learn about the mine."

"I'll take up a little of your time. Please bring me the annual summary reports for the past ten years. I need to see them now."

The group exchanged bewildered glances, but under Sun Zhiwei's watchful gaze, they finally sifted through the pile of documents in front of them and handed over the few that Sun Zhiwei needed.

Sun Zhiwei stacked the dozens of reports into a pile and then began to quickly flip through them.

His reading seemed slow, but he never stopped turning the pages, spending only a few seconds on each page, skimming through it like a cursory glance. Curry, the team manager, visibly relaxed upon seeing this.

I initially thought the new chairman had launched a surprise attack because he'd heard something, but it turns out it was a different story.

He thought Sun Zhiwei was just going through the motions, so he had no problem. All the accounts were in order, and he wasn't afraid of being audited.

The others also saw Sun Zhiwei's actions. Some of them relaxed like Curry, some looked disappointed, and others rolled their eyes like Deputy Mine Manager Clark.

The expressions of the twelve people present were clearly imprinted in Sun Zhiwei's mind by the opening of his spatial dimension. Under the reflection of his space, no one could hide who had a problem and who didn't.

The next step is to find out where the problem lies.

It's impossible to ask them directly; they must have already agreed on a story. Regardless of whether they were involved or not, Mine Manager Curry is so powerful that he must have already taken control of the situation.

But what they didn't know was that Sun Zhiwei had a photographic memory; although he turned the pages quickly, he had already memorized the contents of each page.

Half an hour later, after reading all the reports, Sun Zhiwei closed the last page of the report.

Then, he gently closed his eyes, his fingers tapping lightly on the table, while his mind was organizing and comparing the various data from the dozens of reports he had just seen.

He quickly discovered the flaws in these reports.

He quickly opened his eyes and asked, "Has the number of miners at the mine remained unchanged for the past few years?"

Curry was taken aback for a moment, then subconsciously replied, "Yes, Chairman, the miners have been quite stable in recent years, and none of them have resigned."

"Due to the limitations of the mine's size, we haven't recruited any new miners in the past few years."

Sun Zhiwei did not respond, but looked at the others, seemingly wanting to confirm the accuracy of the information from them.

When the finance manager, Ailiya, saw him looking at her, she replied, "Yes, Chairman, the finance department's salary payments have been very stable over the past few years, with the base salary amount always being the same."

Although the items had been verified, Sun Zhiwei still asked the office director, Della, "Does the office provide the workers with complete sets of work safety supplies every month?"

"Chairman, please rest assured that we will provide sufficient labor protection supplies every month to ensure the safety and health of our workers."

The others nodded in agreement.

Suddenly, Sun Zhiwei let out a sneer: "Heh heh heh, this is really funny. You can't even lie properly. I'm ashamed of you."

Everyone looked at each other, wondering what he was going to do.
Only Curry heard his words, his heart was pounding, but his face showed an angry expression.

"Chairman, I don't know what you're laughing at. We've worked diligently for so many years and never caused the boss any trouble. I never expected that we would be ridiculed by a new boss."

The heads of the finance, office, security, and other departments also became angry.

Just as they were about to continue speaking, Sun Zhiwei slammed his hand on the table first.

"boom."

"Don't you know what you've done?"

"You still want to hide it now? Do you think I'm as easy to fool as old Lancaster?"
