Mystery: When the Fool Meets the Masked Fool

Chapter 330 One surgery, one fooling, one wish

Chapter 330 An operation, a fool, a wish

Several people seemed to have had an accelerator pressed; their bodies aged rapidly, as if time had been stolen, and they skipped from their prime to old age in an instant.

Klein, who was not far away, was prepared. He held the "Spirit Worm" in one hand and put on a mask with the other. Candy Knights, modeled after the others, appeared behind him.

Klein felt no tension whatsoever as the scene he had foreseen in the "tragedy prophecy" was about to unfold before his eyes.

The spirit clone of [The Clown Without Self] appeared behind him and instantly arrived beside Grosser and the others.

“Mr. Hermes…” Mobert, who was already old and frail, couldn’t help but bend over. He saw the translucent spirit coming around him and was about to say something.

"Chirp... Chirp mimi!" The clone with its sharply defined facial features suddenly let out a strange cry and punched Mobert in the temple.

Under the shocked gazes of others, Mobert's eyes became vacant, and cracks appeared on his face and forehead, from which two discs slowly ejected.

"You!" Shatas immediately turned her head in disbelief to look at Klein, who had led them away from "The Travels of Grosser," and struggled to raise her hand to try to draw the bowstring.

However, due to her advanced age, her reaction speed has declined significantly, making her completely unable to react to Klein's demigod-level attack speed.

Four more punches were thrown quickly. Except for the former Rune soldier Longzel, who only had one disc appear on his head, the other three, like Mobert, had blank stares and their faces and foreheads split open, revealing two discs.

"Chirp chirp?" Padma tilted her head. "White Snake... that's not how you call it, is it?"

“Of course,” Klein nodded, adjusting his mask, “but JOJO Part 7 is getting an anime adaptation, so we have to support it.”

"Part 7...wait, Brother K, how did you know Part 7 was going to be adapted into an anime? When you time-traveled, wasn't JoJo's Bizarre Adventure only up to Part 5?"

“That’s not important,” Klein said, waving his hand casually.

The discs representing "spirits" and "extraordinary qualities" immediately detached from their original bodies and spun into the "Candy Knights" that Klein had created for them.

Klein then held the "Spirit Worm" in his hand up to his eyes: "Next, we need a small [wish] and a small [trick].

He brought the spirit insect to his mouth and spoke to it as if on the phone: "I hope that they can replace their aging bodies with new ones."

The disc completely entered their new bodies' faces and foreheads, and the "Candy Knights'" bodies, originally made of candy, began to change.

A completely new body replaces the candy, and internal organs appear to fill the empty interior of the doll.

"It seems that even if it's not above the gray fog, this spirit worm at least has the rank of Sequence Zero and the abilities of Sequence Two," Klein muttered to himself silently.

Then, he gave a crooked smile.

This is just like me.

Padma wagged her tail, feeling a little uncomfortable with her brother K wearing the mask of joy.

“Brother Ke, you look like an idiot right now,” said Pado Meow.

Klein chuckled and tapped his mask: "I'm 'The Fool,' of course I'm a fool."

"It feels like there's a Serres boss living right next to me."

“That’s very interesting.” Klein smiled, removed his mask, and watched the people in front of him slowly awaken.

"Don't we look like Orochimaru resurrecting several Hokage with Edo Tensei?" Klein suddenly asked.

“We still need a few more coffins,” Padmo suggested.

“It seems there are still areas for improvement when doing something similar next time.” Klein snapped his fingers lightly.

“Brother Ke, you are very different from the ‘Merlin Hermes’ character in the original work,” Padmo said.

"What was I like during this period in the original work?" Klein asked.

“Hmm… an elegant, gentle angel, full of divinity yet retaining humanity,” Padmo gave after a few seconds of thought. “Then… which one do you think is better?” Klein asked with a smile.

“Now,” Padmon answered with certainty, “your timeline already had very little humanity left.”

Klein's lips curled up a little more, and after removing his mask, his tone was no longer so lively and exaggerated, but became gentle again.

“Dr. Mebius once told me that when people grow, whether they gain or lose something, change makes them better.”

“That’s something Snake Sister would say,” Padmo slowly swayed her tail. “But I think she just wanted to trick Brother Ke into going to the operating table.”

Klein chuckled, then changed the subject: "Actually, they're not dead, are they? You and Serres conspired to lie to me, and I felt guilty for a long time."

Padmaw averted its gaze.

But it's really funny how guilty Brother K looks when he's being emo in the middle of the night.

The mirror on the table not far away lit up, as if trying to tell Klein something. But because the others were about to wake up, they chose to remain silent to avoid revealing Klein's identity further.

But Klein felt he could guess what Arrodes meant.

“Great master, only I will never deceive you.”

Before long, the body-swapping surgery was over.

Grosser was the first to wake up. Sitting on the ground, he looked at Klein, who was almost a head shorter than him even when sitting, and then turned to look at his companion not far away.

He understood what was going on and gave a simple, honest smile.

In many books, giants are described as a cruel and violent race, more like monsters than intelligent beings.

But Grosser was different. He was frank, honest, and optimistic. Although he seemed a bit silly, he knew better than anyone what was right and wrong.

When Klein attacked Mobert, Grosser was the only one who had a chance to stop him, but he didn't.

At that moment, his eyes showed only astonishment, not anger. He knew that, given the circumstances, they would have died even if Klein had done nothing. Klein had no reason to act if he hadn't genuinely wanted to save them.

He was simply taken aback by why Klein's method of saving people was so...unique.

The ascetic Snowman was the second to awaken, and because of his frequent meditation, he recovered faster than the others.

Then, Shatas and Mobert awoke one after the other. Shatas immediately looked at Mobert, and only breathed a sigh of relief when she saw that he was alright. When she looked back at Klein, her eyes were full of apology. Klein, however, very gentlemanly shook his head to indicate that it was nothing.

Mobert then exclaimed, "Hey buddy, you really looked like you were trying to kill me just now!"

"Are all your methods of saving people so unique?"

Klein smiled gently: "When I used to perform surgery, I would just dig out the internal organs with my bare hands."

Mobert shuddered, gave an awkward smile, and said nothing more.

Long Ze'er was the last to wake up.

Before entering the world of the book, he was just an ordinary person. His extraordinary characteristics were acquired in the book world and were "imagined." Now, he has naturally returned to his original state.

He lowered his head, looked at his hands, paused for two seconds, and then smiled with relief.

“At least… I can see them with my own eyes… see their graves.”

"I think that even without extraordinary special effects, my spirituality, which has been modified by the potion, is enough to help me find the burial place of my loved ones."
