Mystery: When the Fool Meets the Masked Fool

Chapter 325 Please allow me to introduce my master...

He's very warm and friendly. In both church texts and the myths of Silver City, giants are portrayed as extremely destructive and ferocious creatures. This Grosser, however, is nothing like that stereotype.

After Klein finished his self-introduction, he began to savor the feeling Grosser gave him.

Inside the spacious, well-ventilated cave, four humanoid creatures were scattered around a campfire that emitted light and heat.

One of them, dressed in an extremely simple white robe, stood with his back to the flames, facing the stone wall, eyes closed, praying intently. He was a middle-aged man with wrinkles but not old, with short brown hair, and his shoulders, arms, calves, and feet were exposed, covered with various old scars.

Beside him was a young man sleeping with his head resting on a stone. He wore heavy, sturdy black full-body armor, and a black straight sword that gleamed coldly was stuck in his hand. His facial features were quite sharp, with obvious Rune characteristics.

Sitting opposite these two were a black-haired man and a strangely dressed man in his thirties who made the person feel uncomfortable.

The dark-haired man was simply dressed, completely oblivious to the fact that he was in the freezing cold. He wore a simple off-white short-sleeved shirt and gray-brown trousers. A pair of Robin's earphones hung around his neck, and a mask slung to the side of his head. He leaned against the wall, watching Klein. He held a box of fried rice in his hand, looking utterly out of place in the surroundings.

The other man wore a pointed, stiff black hat, and his coat buttons were haphazardly placed, asymmetrical and discordant—a clear characteristic of the Solomon period. Furthermore, one of his leather boots had a pointed toe that curled up high, resembling that of a circus clown, while the other was flat, like a square.

The man had a fairly good-looking face, with flaxen hair, dark brown eyes, a high nose bridge, and thin lips. Even when sitting, he gave off an air of arrogance.

Wait, did something just suddenly pass by?
Klein once again fixed his gaze on Serres, his expression somewhat strange.

you……

Shifting his gaze, Klein was not surprised at all to see a boundary anchor in the corner.

Unleash divine power, kid!

“Viscount Mobert Zoroastrian of the Solomon Empire,” Grosser introduced with a smile.

Mobert saw Klein's face and the monocle on his face clearly, and suddenly his body trembled violently. But the next second, after seeing that Klein wore it on his left eye, he breathed a slight sigh of relief.

"Hello, I am Sequence 5 of the Thief pathway, the Dream Thief," Mobert chuckled, completely unlike the arrogant demeanor he projected.

Mobert enthusiastically pointed to the praying man with his back to the crowd and said, “The devout ascetic Snowman, a Sequence 5 Light Priest. He believes in the Creator of all things, the all-knowing and all-powerful God. You don’t need to worry about him; he’s completely isolated in his own world of faith, but he’ll be a very reliable partner in battle. Hey Snowman, at least say something!”

Receiving no response, Mobert chuckled wryly and stroked his chin, saying, "This is the treatment I often receive. You might find it hard to imagine, but when I first entered this place, I was a proud, reserved, and cultured nobleman. But the long passage of time has changed everything. Heh, when your companion is a giant who only knows how to laugh and shout slogans."

As he said this, Grosser, sitting on a rock, smiled憨厚ly, raised his hand to scratch the back of his head, and his vertical monocular eye did not show the ferocity and tyranny that various legends of giants desperately portrayed.

"Do you all habitually reveal your extraordinary professions when you introduce yourselves?" Padmo asked.

The others didn't seem surprised at all that the pet could talk. Mobert chuckled and explained, "Anyway, it'll all be exposed when the fight breaks out. So it's better to let them know in advance so we can coordinate better."

“Of course, it’s okay if you don’t want to talk about it,” Grosser added.

“But it’d better say this if you don’t want us to put you at the forefront when things get heated,” the elf Shatas said, “because I can’t entrust my back to someone who doesn’t even know about extraordinary abilities… and a cat.” Padmon looked up at Klein, received a “you figure it out” look, and nodded: “Then let me reintroduce myself, my name is… Fufu, and I’m a Sequence Eight [Withered Patient].”

“The withered patient…never heard of him.” Mobert frowned as he looked at Padmon and shook his head. But his brows quickly relaxed. “However, I’m not exactly a learned person, so it’s normal that I don’t know.”

Klein thought for a moment. He was Sequence Six, but he could use the extraordinary abilities of Sequence Four. Since he was going to play that role anyway, he might as well take a middle ground.

"I am a Sequence 5 [Battlefield Magician]."

Although they lack the ability, they can basically imitate everything. Their combat strength wouldn't be low either, so it's not considered deception.

Creating misunderstandings through information asymmetry is one of the magicians' rules. Klein isn't sure if it applies to battlefield magicians.

“I only know magicians who are Sequence Seven Diviners.” Mobert shrugged.

"The ninth sequence of [The Withered Patient] is called [The Fire Chaser]. The prerequisites for [The Battle Magician] starting from the ninth sequence are [The Mourner], [The Strange Doctor], [The Candy Knight], and [The Reminiscence Artist]." Serres introduced them as if he didn't know them at all.

"Oh, I see. You know a lot," Mobert said, suddenly realizing.

"So-so," Serres said modestly. "I just used the time others spend drinking coffee to study."

Mobe nodded and tossed a stone onto the back of the black-armored knight opposite him, making a thud. "Hey, Longzel, wake up! We have a new comrade!"

The sleeping black-armored knight slowly awoke, opened his eyes, looked at Klein, sat up, and introduced himself: "My name is Longzel, a retribution knight."

Padma blinked, feeling as if a part of the story was missing.

This Ronzel should ask Klein if he knows about "the Howard family".

But after glancing at Serres, it dawned on me.

Serres also has a Rune-like face. He probably already asked.

With a smile, Serres introduced himself: "My name is Serres Bruce, and I am a missionary of the Church of Joy, walking in this world on behalf of the Lord to spread His great teachings."

"Perfect timing, a newcomer has arrived. Please allow me to introduce my master..."

"Our Lord calls himself the Lord of Fools, in the past, in the present, and in the future."

"The Lord has seven angels serving him: five angels representing the old, young, sick, disabled, and pregnant, and two angels representing the world and the true self..."
