Mystery: When the Fool Meets the Masked Fool

Chapter 236 The Lord's Blood Flows with Sweet Iced Tea

Chapter 236 The Lord's Blood Flows with Sweet Iced Tea

"Oh dear, why are you so concerned about this ten thousand pounds? It will corrupt people's efforts, okay?"

"So what exactly did you give up? Did you just spend that 10,000 pounds?" Padmon complained.

That's it.

Klein nodded vigorously.

“What else?” Serres said matter-of-factly. “I have an Ether Editor. I can just hand-write whatever I want. Do you know how much effort it took for me to spend all that money?”

"While you were busy enriching yourselves, I was having fun. While you were digesting the potion, I was spending ten thousand pounds on a foot bath. While you were constantly striving, I spent ten thousand pounds to buy several manors and several ranches..."

"I'm obviously very tired, okay?"

"Serris, can I hit you?" Padmon asked with a serious expression.

“No way,” Serres said with a grin, “because neither of you can beat me.”

"So, just how strong are you, Serres?" Klein asked curiously.

"Guess?" Serres, as always, did not give a direct answer.

"Fine, if you don't want to talk about it, then forget it." Klein adjusted his gold-rimmed glasses.

Padmaow let out a soft "Eh" at that moment.

"Someone's coming," she warned.

Serres and Klein followed Padmon's gaze.

A little boy walked out of the Church of Compassion and headed toward the two people and the cat.

“It looks like they’ve come to see you,” Klein said, relying on his spiritual intuition.

“Oh, yes.” Serres beckoned and called the little boy to his side. “Let me introduce you, Simo Libby. A true follower of the Lord of Fools.”

The little boy was approached by Serres yesterday when he was building a church here, saying that he wanted to believe in the Lord of Fools.

Serres was somewhat surprised at the time, and even deliberately looked at the little boy's fate to see if it was some other masked fool in disguise.

The conclusion is no; he was not some little devil in disguise, the Fool.

This is a poor homeless child. Fate has it that he should have died in a bridge hole some time ago, but for some reason he survived.

Later, he approached Serres, who then allowed him to stay at the church, hoping that the church might produce a true pastor in the future.

"Hello, Father Serres, hello, you two," Simo greeted in his not-so-fluent Rune.

"You can even greet cats?" Padmo asked with a smile, intending to startle the child.

But Simo smiled shyly: "Father Serres told me some common knowledge about the extraordinary world, so I know that extraordinary beings exist."

"Oh, I see." Padmon, slightly disappointed at failing to scare anyone, turned her gaze back to Serres. "So, Serres finally did target the little boy? Is this the priest's fate?"

“The priest doesn’t have that kind of fate,” Klein retorted with a hint of helplessness.

“That’s right, priests don’t have that destiny.” Serres nodded. “A priest’s destiny is to go to heaven.”

"Your fate is strange, isn't it? And there's no Joestar family here, is there?" Klein was speechless.

Seeing that the three had temporarily stopped talking, the little boy Simo then began to speak to Serres: "Father Serres, may we begin to administer Holy Communion?"

The Church of Pleasure here only has one believer, Simo. In other words, Simo's current question is actually whether Serres can eat now.
“Of course you can.” Serres nodded nonchalantly. “Our church doesn’t have those rules and regulations. It’s fine to eat whenever you want. You don’t need to know about the etiquette of other churches.”

“Yes, Father Serres.” Simo smiled broadly.

"Communion... bread and wine? Children can't drink alcohol," Klein asked at that moment.

“No, our Joyful Church’s communion is Dipsy pie and sweet iced tea,” Serres explained.

“Yes, because sweet iced tea flows in the blood of my Lord,” the little boy Simo chimed in.

…………

The next morning, the sun rose above the horizon, turning the distance into a golden hue.

Klein left the Church of Mercy and returned to the White Agate.

This morning he ate "the flesh and blood of the Lord" for breakfast, Dipsy pie and sweet iced tea. It was the first time he had ever known that it tasted so good.

Okay, now he admits that sweet iced tea flows in his blood.

After filling his stomach, he returned to the deck, breathed in the fresh air, and enjoyed the early morning scenery.

Just then, he saw Captain Ellan return drunk, his straight sword swaying precariously.

Thinking about what happened yesterday, and the bartender's words, "My boss is White Shark," Klein walked over and said without a smile:

"Good morning, Captain. Did that so-called great white shark cause you any trouble?"

"He should be able to find out that I was a passenger on the White Agate."

There are only so many ships at the dock during this period, so it's easy to check.

Wearing a dark red coat, Airan took off his boat-shaped hat and laughed, "That's his own problem."

"Actually, he asked you to pay half of the bar repair cost, but it wasn't much, just a few sous. I happened to win 6 pounds last night, so I gave him a little extra as a tip, and that was the end of it."

"Thank you." Klein looked at the captain, didn't say anything more, just thanked him, found a spot on the deck to lean back and enjoy the sea breeze.
