Chapter 215 The Hundred-Eyed Demon Awakens! A Powerful New Feature/Skill! The Warring States Secret Realm Recording the Projection of an Era
"Xiao Jia, how are you feeling?"

"Great...very good! I've never felt this good before...!"

Uesugi Tetsuya plucked at his heartstrings and exchanged a few simple words with Kaga Kiyomitsu, whose voice was constantly buzzing.

However, since Tamamo and Yagyu Akira were both in front of him, he couldn't just ignore them and openly look at the changes on Kaga Kiyomitsu's panel.

The control panel isn't going to grow legs and run away, so there's no rush to check it again in a couple of hours.

"By the way, Uesugi-san, you really like your sword."

Tamamo observed the interaction between the master and servant.

She didn't care that Uesugi Tetsu hadn't looked at her first; instead, she pinched her chin and struck a detective's pose.

Uesugi Tetsu thought for a moment, then sat up and replied,

"If you had kept the pen you used on your first day at work until now, and it could still talk to you and call you master, you would have just as deep feelings for it."

Tamamo opened her mouth, then fell silent.

Yagyu Akira nodded behind her, "Uesugi-kun is absolutely right."

"Alright, what do you want from me?"

Uesugi Tetsu shook his head, clearing his mind of drowsy thoughts: "My work has arrived?"

"Um... Uesugi-nii, you're a pure workaholic too. It's only been a little over four hours since we risked our lives to close that passage."

Tamamo put her hands on her hips and sighed.

She looked up, shielded her forehead with her hand, squinted at the cloudless sky, and said, "The weather is so nice now, and I haven't eaten for so long."

"Of course, we should go get something to eat first... a bowl of noodles!"

She flashed a peace sign and said with a smile, "I know a noodle shop right next to the dojo that's absolutely amazing!"

Upon hearing Tamamo's words, Uesugi Tetsu remembered that his last meal was grilled bird, which he had eaten with Ririko and Nanjo the night before.

Moreover, although the roasted bird was advertised as a buffet, the actual portion size was ridiculously small.

If the food hadn't tasted pretty good, Uesugi Tetsu would have filed a complaint against the restaurant in the name of the Special Affairs Department.

I really don't understand why just changing "roast chicken" to "roast bird" can cause such a huge change in price and portion size.

This magic is truly amazing.

"Then please."

Uesugi Tetsu put his hands together and said earnestly, "Tamamo-senpai, please give me a delicious and large bowl of ramen."

"Since Brother Uesugi has said so, then we'll leave it to you!"

Tamamo patted her chest twice, letting Uesugi Tetsu call her senpai, while she called Uesugi Tetsu big brother.

—Tamamo is right, the ramen shop is indeed not far from the dojo, it takes about ten minutes to walk there for an average person.

"But who can find the shop in this location?"

After navigating countless twists and turns, Uesugi Tetsuya finally stopped in a narrow alleyway, barely wide enough for two people to walk side by side, somewhat speechless.

He looked up but couldn't even see the signboard with the shop's name printed on it.

In other words, if you don't go inside and ask, you won't even know what's being sold inside, or even if it's a shop at all.

"It's perfect that such a hidden gem of a shop is located in a spot like this!" Tamamo grinned. "Otherwise, if we arrived at this hour, there wouldn't be any seats left!"

"If the boss did this based on your suggestion, he'll definitely be wishing you good luck in his heart."

Uesugi Tetsuya thought to himself, then followed them inside.

Tamamo waved her hand skillfully and sat down on the old wooden chair in front of the counter: "Boss! Two bowls as usual, and the other one extra large!"

Not long after she finished speaking, a middle-aged man wearing a white chef's uniform, a headscarf, and a kind smile came out from inside.

He greeted them just as skillfully.

"Oh, it's Tamamo. How was work today?"

So Tamamo started complaining to the owner of the ramen shop about all sorts of things.

While listening, the owner hand-pulled the noodles, and in just over ten seconds, he had pulled the dough from scratch into a bowl of noodles.

He can be called a ramen master.

Uesugi Tetsu didn't speak.

He stared quietly at the seemingly kind boss, then gently tapped the restless Kaga Kiyomitsu with his fingertip.

Uesugi Tetsu turned his gaze to Yagyu Akira beside him and found that his face also had no extra expression.

"So, after eating at this noodle shop for so long, they didn't even notice the owner's genuine skill in cooking?"

—In Uesugi Tetsu's perception, the seemingly ordinary ramen shop owner in front of him was also someone whose swordsmanship could disrupt his senses, and was on the same level as the instructor from before.

As for who is stronger or weaker, Uesugi Tetsu couldn't really tell.

But now he understood why the owner opened the shop this way... Maybe he just didn't want ordinary customers to come in and bother him.

"Three bowls of chess piece tempura noodles, mildly spicy, please!"

With the boss's booming shout, a large bowl of ramen, bubbling with blood-red bubbles, was placed in front of Uesugi Tetsuya, causing his lips to twitch.

This is supposed to be "mildly spicy"?
Tamamo chuckled and picked up her chopsticks: "Brother Uesugi, don't worry about eating! This meal is on me!"

No, is this a question of whether or not to treat people to a meal?
Soon, the sound of slurping noodles could be heard from the side, accompanied by a girl's cheerful shout.

After Tamamo had taken three or four bites, she noticed that Uesugi Tetsu was still stirring the noodles with his chopsticks, looking hesitant.

So she waved her hand and said confidently, "Don't be fooled by how red this noodle soup is, it's actually not spicy at all."

Is that right?

With a skeptical attitude, Uesugi Tetsu used his blood-red chopsticks to pick up the glistening, piping hot noodles and put them in his mouth.

Tamamo stared at him, chewing on her crunchy tempura as she asked, "How is it? It's not spicy at all, is it?"

"Hiss—not spicy."

Uesugi Tetsu answered in this way.

Then, to prove that it wasn't spicy, he took two more bites, while receiving a nostalgic look from Yagyu Akira.

After a fierce battle where he gave it his all, Uesugi Tetsuya, adhering to the principle of not wasting anything, slammed the bowl down.

He stared at his trembling hands, remaining silent.

Looking at Tamamo next to him, who was chewing noodles with great relish, Uesugi Tetsuya suddenly realized how stark the regional differences were.

If it weren't for Tamamo's Kansai accent, he would have thought she came from the Sichuan-Chongqing region.

"By the way, Brother Uesugi, what's your Special Affairs Bureau code? Let's add each other as friends."

After ordering three more tempura pieces from the owner, Tamamo, who was taking a break, patted her belly, making a crisp "dudu" sound, and then took out her phone.

Uesugi Tetsuya, puzzled, asked in as calm a tone as possible, "What is this?"

"It's a planetary number that's usually hidden in your app profile..."

Tamamo paused halfway through her sentence, swiped Uesugi Tetsuya's phone screen with her finger, and opened her mouth wide: "You don't have the Special Affairs Department app, do you?!"

Uesugi Tetsu raised an eyebrow: "What's the use of this?"

Tamamo felt that her understanding had been refreshed.

There are operators who don't even have the Special Affairs Bureau app? How did Uesugi Tetsuya survive all this time and do so many missions...?

Following Tamamo's instructions, Uesugi Tetsu entered a line of code and then downloaded the Special Affairs Bureau app with the black icon from the store.

Uesugi Tetsu seems to vaguely recognize this icon.

A while ago, when Kitano Runa was testing her qualifications, she seemed to have downloaded it to see the treatment for those with S-class potential.

However, he really didn't pay much attention to it.

The Special Affairs Department's app was downloaded quickly.

"Click this first, then this one, and finally this one..."

Like a simplified tutorial, Tamamo saved Uesugi Tetsuya a lot of unnecessary troublesome steps and took him directly to the login screen.

"Then you can just scan your face."

As she spoke, three steaming golden tempura pieces were placed in front of Tamamo. She licked her lips and pounced on them like a ferocious beast.

Uesugi Tetsu followed the procedure to scan his face, but a prompt popped up on the screen: "Please release your spiritual power to verify the spiritual power fluctuations."

The Special Affairs Bureau really has a lot of high-tech stuff; they can even verify the authenticity of spiritual power through a mobile phone.

Without much thought, Uesugi Tetsu placed his finger on the screen and channeled a wisp of spiritual energy into the Yin-Yang formula that had disappeared after the prompt vanished.

【Respected Special Affairs Officer, Uesugi Tetsuya, welcome to our login page】

"Huh, what kind of prefix is this?"

After being reminded by Yagyu Akira, who was further away, Tamamo tilted her head and asked vaguely.

She then turned her gaze to "Uesugi Tetsu" in the upper left corner of the app's main page.

The name is followed by a golden suffix: "Seed".

The girl was startled: "Nanjo Manami values you that much!?"

Red indicates a security level, gold indicates a potential level...

Tamamo was speechless when she thought about how she had worked like a super ox in the Special Affairs Department for three or four years, yet her two ranks were still only white.

Even the highest grade of white cannot hide the fact that it is mediocre.

Uesugi Tetsu glanced back and forth between the two profiles: "Is there anything different?"

Life is tough, Tamamo sighed.

"The gold suffix is a color that can only appear if the regional head or the Yin-Yang Grand Master actively vouches for it..."

Look at Yagyu; his name also has "seed" in its suffix, but it's white.

"I see, thank you for the explanation."

Uesugi Tetsu raised his hand, preparing to tap away all the red notification dots on the screen as usual.

"Don't order, bro!"

Without thinking twice, Tamamo grabbed his wrist tightly with her greasy right hand.

At this moment, Uesugi Tetsu's finger was still an inch away from the "Weekly Confidential Incident Broadcast" section.

Upon seeing this, Tamamo breathed a heavy sigh of relief.

She rarely suppressed her smile and earnestly warned, "Brother Uesugi, don't open things like this in public places in the future."

"If an operator like me with insufficient security clearance sees something I shouldn't, they might have my memory erased using strange methods."

Tamamo shrank back: "I don't want to be brainwashed."

There's actually such a thing.

Uesugi Tetsu apologized and, after giving his personal identification number to Tamamo and Yagyu Akira, began to study the Special Affairs Department's app.

[Forum], [Demon and Monster Catalog], [Task Announcement], [Related Logs], [Current Benefits], [Anything That Can Help You]...

The app has a full range of functions.

Everything is clearly marked, from the treatment and salary, the required intelligence, to when and where to go, which local operators can be contacted, and how long it will take to get support.

If it were an ordinary Special Affairs Officer, seeing these features would definitely make them feel much more at ease.

He fiddled with the app for less than ten minutes, and then Yuzhao put his chopsticks on the bowl and said to the owner, "Thank you for the meal."

The three of them walked out of the empty ramen shop. Tamamo crossed her arms and smiled at Uesugi Tetsuya, "How was it? Was the ramen shop we recommended delicious?"

It's delicious, it really is delicious.

Just don't ask for "mild" spice next time you come...

Uesugi Tetsu could still feel a fire burning in his abdomen, almost as if he had put the feather of the Ubume inside him.

—Upon returning to the dojo, he found that Master Fan was personally and earnestly instructing a disciple who was not much different from a novice.

Uesugi Tetsu observed from a distance for a while, then shook his head with a smile: "Let's not disturb Lord Saionji for now."

It's just a footwork technique; I can learn it tomorrow or the day after. It won't make a difference if I wait a little longer.

Anyway, there was no requirement for him to play in the next couple of days.

Upon hearing Uesugi Tetsu's address, Yagyu Akira silently cast a glance his way: "Uesugi-kun, have you added the teacher's representative on Line?"

Uesugi Tetsuya was stunned for a moment.

"The old man actually uses Line?"

"Yes, the teacher training college started its temporary assignment even earlier than mine."

Upon hearing this, Uesugi Tetsu looked again at the instructor dressed in a simple, plain-colored monastic uniform, who was meticulously and strictly instructing those disciples who might never even touch the threshold of skill and theory in their entire lives.

"Okay." He nodded, scanned the QR code, and sent a friend request.

So what should we do now?

Tamamo had already sat down on the bench next to her, scrolling through her phone.

She looked at Uesugi Tetsuya, then at Yagyu Akira, but didn't get a clear answer.

"Tch, it's time for us to step in at a time like this!"

With a series of phone vibrations, Tamamo quickly spoke up like a machine gun: "Brother Uesugi, our teammates who are tackling the dungeon are still recovering from their injuries, so they can't go for the time being."

As for taking a vacation during such a sensitive time…

She pouted, "Even if I wanted to divorce him, Yagyu wouldn't agree, would he?"

"Then, the destination is clear."

Tamamo snapped her fingers: "Then let's set off now and go to the Sengoku Secret Realm in Hamamatsu City. You've been very interested in that place, haven't you, big brother?"

"I just happened to hear that the secret realm is a place where one can hone their strength and swordsmanship almost without any cost."

She tapped her phone: "And although it's dangerous there, no one has died there so far. I believe we're not so unlucky as to be the first one to die."

After finishing her explanation in one breath, Tamamo asked the two of them again,

"So, are you going?"

Yagyu nods silently.

Uesugi Tetsu chuckled: "Is that even a question?"

Tamamo immediately made the decision.

"Elbow, make the arrangements!"

……

"Brother Uesugi, send me your personal information so we can book a train ticket."

"train?"

"The express train will take you to Hamamatsu City in an hour and a half."

Uesugi Tetsu countered, "Aren't we not allowed to take the train recently?"

Tamamo blinked, not understanding at first.

Uesugi Tetsu explained, "The Kisaragi Station is a place of ghost stories, and there's also a train that can send people into the world of the living."

"Holy crap, this is actually true?"

Tamamo's face paled, and she quickly cancelled all the pre-booked e-tickets: "Forget it, I'd be doomed if I got sent to the Tokoyo-bu at this time."

"Then, Brother Uesugi, please have the Special Affairs Department send a special car to take us."

The girl pointed to the line that required 200 contribution points and said, "With your gold-level noble rank, you should be able to call a car for free." Uesugi Tetsu looked and found that it was indeed true.

He was initially delighted, thinking that he would no longer need to spend money on rice when he went out, and would even have a private car and driver to pick him up and drop him off.

But then another worry arose: how come I only discovered this treasure app now? Wouldn't I be a huge victim of the rip-off I got from that old taxi driver?

Twenty minutes later, a seemingly ordinary black sedan, which was actually reinforced with bulletproof steel plates and had exorcism spells carved on its interior, pulled up in front of the dojo.

The three of them got into the car.

The sedan's seats are soft and comfortable, far superior to the steel plates of a salvage vehicle or the seats in a van that can't even be fastened with a seatbelt.

Tamamo lay down, holding her phone up with both hands to continue chatting, not afraid that if she let go, the phone would hit her face.

Uesugi Tetsu leaned back and began to squint at the changes on Kaga Kiyomitsu's panel.

His eyes lit up quickly.

The synergy effects I mentioned earlier are indeed not just empty promises.

[Your Kaga Kiyomitsu has gained a new effect—Slashing Expert!]

[Effect 3: Slashing Specialization → Slashing Expert. Using slashing sword techniques will deal massive additional damage. Kaga Kiyomitsu will also become an "expert in the field of slashing."]

[Because Kaga Kiyomitsu has mastered both "Thrust Expert" and "Slash Expert," a new characteristic, "Technique," has emerged!]

What Kaga Kiyomitsu gained was a "characteristic," not an "effect."

Features are like extra buffs, and they are generally divided into temporary and permanent ones.

—Similar to the characteristics that Uesugi Tetsu received when he was blessed by Huijue, and the "wholeheartedness and spirit" that Kaga Kiyomitsu received after being cared for, both belong to the temporary category.

But this "skill" is clearly a permanent characteristic.

[Skill: Kaga Kiyomitsu - Separation Blade] He has gained a deep understanding of swordsmanship and is able to master various sword techniques more skillfully.

At the same time, being near Kaga Kiyomitsu will also grant you a bonus to your swordsmanship comprehension.

After reading the introduction to the "techniques", Uesugi Tetsu suddenly felt his mind become clear, and at the same time, he felt that something more fundamental had happened.

The hint will answer his question—

[Because you have grasped Kaga Kiyomitsu, your trait - Sword Skill (1%) has changed!]

Your trait, Sword Skill (1%), has been changed to Sword Skill (3%)!

Even with Uesugi Tetsu's strong mental fortitude, he couldn't help but reread the prompt at this moment.

Simply by grasping the present Kaga Kiyomitsu, he actually took two steps on the incredibly long road of "sword skills".

easy.

"This is really..."

Uesugi Tetsu stared at the gleaming silver blade that sprang from its sheath, staring at it, and also staring at himself reflected in the blade's light.

"Xiaojia."

"Ok?"

"I'd like to ask you to continue walking this road with me from now on."

"Ok!"

Despite the coldness of the hilt and blade, Uesugi Tetsu could feel the warm and fiery core of Kaga Kiyomitsu within them.

Uesugi Tetsuya, his heartstrings tugged, chatted casually with Kaga Kiyomitsu.

The latter mostly just listens, because it still cannot say a lot of complex words at once.

But the willingness to listen quietly is enough.

On the left-hand seat, Yagyu Chi had already glanced at the side several times.

He wanted to talk to Uesugi Tetsu about his previous teaching experience and their exchange on swordsmanship.

—But Yagyu Akira felt that they weren't very familiar with each other yet, and Uesugi Tetsu was talking to the sword called "Xiao Jia," making him feel embarrassed to interrupt them.

Do not interrupt others' conversations unless it is important.

This is basic courtesy.

So Yagyu Akira wanted to speak several times, but then swallowed his words due to a strong internal struggle.

Uesugi Tetsu was busy chatting with Kaga Kiyomitsu while looking up information on his phone, so he didn't notice Yagyu Akira's movements beside him.

He first tried to find relevant information about the Warring States period on the Special Affairs Bureau's APP, but found that information from at least a hundred years ago was not allowed to be included.

The app prompted him to go offline to find physical materials to view.

pity.

Next, Uesugi Tetsu looked up some information related to Hamamatsu City.

—For example, the old tortoise's mansion is actually right here; and there's even a huge red torii gate built on the lake in the city.

There is one more thing.

Uesugi Tetsu's gaze silently swept over the 2ch forum.

—The origin of the Kisaragi Station ghost story from twenty years ago seems to be in Hamamatsu City.

Hey.

My phone vibrated, and a reply from Huijue popped up on the screen.

[Huijue: Although I have witnessed several instances of being influenced by vows, the effects of different vows are drastically different.]

[Huijue: Each situation requires specific analysis. As to how and when to do it, this humble monk must personally observe the situation closely.]

Uesugi Tetsu sat up straight abruptly, startling Yagyu Akira who was standing next to him.

His fingers gripped the phone tighter unconsciously.

As expected, every profession has its own expertise.

A true Buddhist master like Huijue can certainly solve such a small problem!
[Huijue: However, Uesugi, this humble monk is currently in Kyoto and it is not convenient for me to go out. Would it be alright if I came to visit you when I return in a few days?]

[Tsuki-suna-chan: Thank you, Master!]

Uesugi Tetsu immediately sent a "no rush" and "thank you" emoji.

Huijue ended the brief conversation with an emoji that looked like it came out of the style of more than ten years ago, saying "Thank you for understanding".

His profile picture immediately went black, indicating that it was indeed inconvenient.

Uesugi Tetsu breathed a sigh of relief.

With Huijue's assurance and Shenghai, who might bring unexpected joy... the problem of Master Erchi is already half solved.

At times like these, you still have to rely on the network of contacts you've built up along the way.

A huge weight was lifted off his shoulders, and the atmosphere around Uesugi Tetsuya also became much more relaxed.

He held Kaga Kiyomitsu's hand, closed his eyes with a sense of peace, and let his thoughts wander.

Seeing that he seemed to be resting, Yagyu Chi didn't want to disturb him, so he went through another internal struggle.

……

Compared to the express train, the driving speed is indeed slower.

But the advantage is that it can accurately reach the vicinity of the destination.

"The three of you, I have an important mission notification waiting for me nearby, so is it alright if I drop you off here?"

The uniformed driver, who had been silent since boarding the bus, spoke for the first time.

Here, it's only a little over two kilometers from the marked location of the Warring States Secret Realm, which can be covered in less than twenty minutes if you walk quickly.

"It is the only right thing to do."

Uesugi Tetsu led the way by opening the car door and getting out.

He turned his head, looked at the somewhat low and desolate buildings around him, and then expanded his perception circle a little, saying strangely...

"There's hardly anyone around here."

Upon hearing this, Tamamo spread her hands.
"The officials from the central government must be used to crowds of people... This is what the suburbs of ordinary cities are like, no different from the countryside."

This is true.

Uesugi Tetsu rubbed his temples, remembering that the vast majority of Japan's population was concentrated in a few major metropolitan areas.

Among these, the populations of several large cities are particularly high.

Under such a strong siphon effect, the number of people scattered on the outskirts of the remaining cities naturally decreased.

"It's actually quite nice to have fewer people; it's quieter."

Uesugi Tetsu looked around at the peaceful scenery, stepped on the edge of the old gray asphalt road, and slowly walked towards the Warring States Secret Realm.

It truly lives up to its reputation as a suburban area.

As he walked along, Uesugi Tetsu didn't see any pedestrians, and he didn't even see many cars.

The only thing I could see was a yellow bus that wobbled along in the middle of the road, with not even a tenth of its seats occupied.

But once you get within 800 meters of the Warring States Secret Realm, it gets lively.

This "lively" does not refer to a bustling crowd.

On the contrary, the surroundings were so quiet you could hear a pin drop, making one wonder if there were really people in those brightly lit buildings.

The bustling atmosphere here was Uesugi Tetsu's senses telling him that there were countless powerful individuals in this area!
There were at least a dozen different types of qi, powerful spiritual energy, the Five Elements Yin-Yang Technique, barriers and spells belonging to the four paths, and many more chaotic yet powerful auras that Uesugi Tetsuya couldn't recognize.

These people must have all come for the Warring States Secret Realm.

Yagyu Chi suddenly laughed and said, "You've come to the right place."

Uesugi Tetsuya, whose lines had been stolen, nodded: "Then let's start..."

He suddenly stopped speaking, turned his gaze, and his indifferent, sharp eyes swept across the surroundings inch by inch.

But they gained nothing.

But just now, in that brief pause in his sentence, Uesugi Tetsu clearly felt himself being stared at by an incredibly strange gaze.

Although it was hard to pinpoint exactly what was strange about him, he was definitely different from the other cultivators who were silently observing him.

Otherwise, he wouldn't have had such a clear and intense sensation.

"call……"

Uesugi Tetsu let out a sigh of relief, giving up the idea of finding the owner of the gaze.

Since we couldn't find them before, it's even more unrealistic to try and find them in the crowd now.

"Uesugi-kun, what's wrong?"

Yagyu Chi turned around and asked.

"No, it's nothing."

Uesugi Tetsu shook his head and followed.

They quickly reached a distance of 200 meters from the Warring States Secret Realm.

To be precise, it's the entrance to the safe zone of the Warring States Secret Realm.

Standing here, you still can't see what the so-called secret realm looks like, but it is indeed blocked outside by the yellow and black isolation tape from the Special Affairs Department.

Two tall, muscular operators, their bodies shrouded in swirling energy, watched them and spoke, bowing slightly.
"Gentlemen, if you wish to enter the secret realm, you can first apply for a [pass] on the APP."

Pass?
By the time this thing is finally approved, they'll all have to go back.

Tamamo chuckled dismissively, raised her chin, and patted Uesugi Tetsuya on the back: "Uesugi-nii, just show them their homepages!"

Uesugi Tetsu didn't ask any questions and did as instructed.

The golden seed symbol startled the two Special Affairs officers.

They leaned closer to the screen, and after confirming for a while, they looked at Uesugi Tetsu with astonishment at his calm expression.

The two operators stepped aside, their tone carrying a hint of respect: "Lord Uesugi Tetsuya, there are two more people here, please come in."

One of the operators opened a semi-transparent glass tube and released a shikigami of similar strength to temporarily take over the role, saying that it would lead the way for them.

As soon as Uesugi Tetsu crossed the cordon, he found that the scene in front of him had suddenly changed.

What was originally a modern building has been transformed into an extremely desolate, flat earthen slope.

At a glance, one can also see many rotten weapons, which is almost reminiscent of the Sengoku graveyard that Uesugi Tetsu had seen on the Tokoyo Train.

Enchantment?

He looked back but did not see any obvious spell patterns or sense any fluctuations from the barrier.

The Onmyoji who set up this barrier must be highly skilled, perhaps even a Grand Onmyoji belonging to the Astronomical Path.

If you look up and gaze into the distance, you can see a white vortex slowly rotating on the desolate earthen slope.

This vortex was neither a physical entity nor did it emit any spiritual power; it was not even within Uesugi Tetsu's perception.

Yet, it appears to be suspended in mid-air, rotating at a fixed rate, even under naked-eye observation.

Tamamo let out a soft gasp.

Uesugi Tetsu thought to himself, "This vortex can indeed be considered a phenomenon."

Before the vortex, a black-haired man dressed in a black suit, black trousers, a black tie, and black leather shoes held a pen and paper, gazing at it silently.

Before the operator could even bring the three of them close, the man spoke up calmly: "Otto, I haven't received any application for a pass."

The operator's expression stiffened. He told Uesugi Tetsuya and his group to stay where they were, then immediately stepped forward: "Mr. Y, who are these three...?"

"Oh?"

After a brief explanation, the man turned around curiously and looked at Uesugi Tetsuya, who was gazing at the vortex of the secret realm.

This kid is different.

The man made a mental record of Uesugi Tetsuya.

His gaze shifted slightly, and he saw Tamamo sticking out her tongue, greeting him with a somewhat nervous and awkward expression.

He had seen this kid before; he was a promising talent.

"Alright, Officer Ota, you can go back to your post now."

The man smiled warmly at him: "I can take care of these three."

The operator breathed a sigh of relief, quickly left the man's side, and stepped out of the barrier's range.

"Nice to meet you, Uesugi-kun."

The man smiled at Uesugi Tetsuya.
"I am Y, the head of the countermeasures office. You can call me Mr. Y."

For some reason, Uesugi Tetsuya, who was being watched, suddenly got goosebumps all over his back.

He gave a somewhat stiff laugh: "Nice to meet you, Mr. Y."

"Since you've gone to such lengths to get here, you must be here to challenge this Warring States Secret Realm, right?"

Mr. Y beckoned to him: "Then let me give you a brief introduction to this secret realm."

Despite feeling unwell, Uesugi Tetsu calmly approached Mr. Y and heard him speak in an incredibly peaceful voice.
"This secret realm is challenging, and within it, the projections of powerful figures from the Warring States period are recorded."

As Mr. Y was giving his introduction, Uesugi Tetsu suddenly sensed a disturbance in the Edo Castle gacha pool, accompanied by a rumbling sound, and notifications popped up one after another.

Hyakume-ki has awakened!

"Uesugi-kun, what happened?"

Before he could even check the notification, Uesugi Tetsuya, whose thoughts had been interrupted, instinctively turned his head and saw Mr. Y staring intently at him with a strange smile on his face.
