Chapter 474 Until Dawn
As the attack receded, Jennifer planted the executioner's knife in the floor and transformed back into human form, allowing Nydy to continue purifying her.

Unfortunately, Jennifer possesses demonic blood, which makes her purification process incredibly slow, and she also has to endure the damage caused by the holy light to her body.

"Everyone has one, take turns reloading!"

However, Jennifer's command was very professional because she had received FEAR commander training and could command FEAR troops without any problem.

The fighting temporarily stopped, and Kurt cautiously asked a question.

"How about we just drive our RV?"

Heather shook her head.

"It's not that simple! These dark creatures won't let us leave easily. Going into the RV might be worse than staying in the cabin; at least there's more space here, and we can move around a bit!"

Penny added.

"And our RV might already be destroyed! Don't treat those dark creatures like fools!"

Quiet returned to the area outside the cabin, but everyone knew this was just the calm before the storm, and the next attack would be even more violent.

The good news is that Nydy successfully purified Jennifer's curse, and everyone has changed their magazines and entered combat mode, except for Martin and the others who are still crouching in the corner.

“Um, Ms. Jennifer, could we hide in the basement? I think it’s safer there.”

Jennifer glanced at Martin, who had offered his opinion, but did not object.

Anyway, these five people have no fighting ability, and they are just mascots squatting in the living room, which is meaningless.

"Go ahead, and scream loudly if anything happens."

Kurt and Holden breathed a sigh of relief, then quickly pushed Dana and Julie into the basement.

Nidi closed her eyes and continued to sense the situation around the cabin. A few minutes later, she suddenly spoke.

"coming!"

The next second, the sound of breaking glass came from the second floor. Just as everyone's attention turned to the stairwell, something smashed the ceiling above their heads.

A huge white werewolf smashed through the wooden ceiling and fell from the sky.

Caught off guard, Amy and Claire in the inner circle almost fell victim to the attack.

Fortunately, Jennifer reacted quickly, transforming into a demon in time to knock the white werewolf over.

However, this unexpected turn of events gave other dark creatures outside the cabin an opportunity to break through the windows and rush into the cabin, making the situation extremely critical.

At the crucial moment, it was Nidi who stepped in.

Nidi quickly transformed into her angel form and then unleashed holy light with all her might.

Dark creatures are born with a fear of holy light, and under Nidi's dazzling holy light, they have no choice but to temporarily retreat.

This gave the others a crucial two or three seconds to turn things around, after which Nidi's holy light disappeared.

"Kill them!"

Jennifer was also affected by the Holy Light, with large areas of her demon skin turning black, but she still mustered her strength and continued to charge into battle.

Finally, the second wave of attacks was also repelled.

But the ladies did not let their guard down, because they noticed that the variety of dark creatures was increasing.

From the initial werewolves, vampires, evil spirits, and walkers, later on, dark creatures such as Wendigos, Yetis, and serpents also appeared.

"Everyone, take a rest. We have to hold on until dawn!"

Most dark creatures cannot survive in the sun; only a few, such as werewolves, can move around in sunlight.

However, werewolves' fighting power drops significantly during the day, which is when the ladies can launch a counterattack.

While the ladies were taking a break, the five people in the basement were still living in fear.

"The gunfire seems to have stopped?"

Julie had been listening to what was happening upstairs, and she breathed a sigh of relief when she heard the gunfire stop and Jennifer's voice.

"Looks like the monster has been driven away again."

Kurt breathed a sigh of relief; he now deeply regretted taking the trip, which had been nothing short of a death trap.

Martin had put down his hookah. Without smoking, his mind became exceptionally clear, and he began to think about the current situation.

"Why do you think there are so many monsters here?"

Upon hearing this question, the remaining four people were all stunned.

Holden scratched his head. He was an athlete; using his brain wasn't his forte.

"Is there a problem with having a lot of monsters?"

Upon hearing this, Martin had no choice but to offer an explanation.

“I think those monsters, like animals, have their own territories. It’s impossible for so many carnivores to have their territories in the same area; they would definitely fight. Have you ever heard of two prides of lions living very close to each other on the same grassland?”

After this explanation, everyone understood.

Diana continued Martin's words.

"You mean, it's abnormal for so many monsters to be gathered together?"

Martin nodded.

"I have a preliminary theory that these monsters are being kept in this area by someone, which is why there are so many of them."

The four men looked at each other, not understanding Martin's meaning.

Kurt asked the question.

"So what if we raise them?"

Martin glared at Kurt, feeling that this academic genius was somewhat undeserving of the title.

"You're so stupid! Holden, tell me honestly, does this cabin really belong to your relative?"

Martin's questioning made Holden's expression turn somewhat unpleasant; he had already realized something.

“Someone came to my door and tried to sell me this place, so I paid to rent it. It’s not actually my relative’s house.”

Upon hearing this, Diana and Julie's eyes widened.

"So you lied to us from the very beginning?"

Holden quickly tried to deny it, saying he offered an explanation.

"Um, I just wanted to travel with everyone, and I was afraid you would refuse, so I said it was a relative's house and wouldn't cost any money!"

At this point, anyone with a modicum of common sense would realize that there's something wrong with the door-to-door salesperson.

Diana suddenly lost control, seemingly wanting to rush up to Holden and hit him.

"Fuck! It's all your fault that we've ended up like this!"

Kurt quickly stopped Diana. Putting aside whether Diana could beat the PE student, the current situation was not the time for a fight.

"Dina, calm down! Fighting won't solve anything!"

Julie looked at Martin.

"Martin, what do you think they're up to?"

"I don't know, there are many possibilities! Maybe they're using us as food to feed those monsters, or maybe they're using us for experiments. Isn't that how it's always portrayed in the movies?"

As he spoke, Martin looked around as if searching for something.

Diana looked at Martin strangely.

"Martin, what are you looking for?"

"I'm confirming some things! If someone really arranged for us to come here, there must be surveillance equipment monitoring our every move. Once we can find it, we can confirm it!"

“Let’s look together!” With that, the five people and two guides began searching for the camera in the basement.

Before long, Diana noticed something wrong with the eyes of one of the deer head wall decorations.

"Look at the eyes of this deer head wall decoration!"

Martin walked over and poked at the eyeball, then tore open the deer's head and found that there was indeed a surveillance device underneath.

This confirms Martin's earlier assessment that someone was indeed manipulating everything.

"Fuck! How can anyone be so cruel!"

Holden immediately launched into a tirade of curses, while simultaneously feeling deeply guilty, realizing that his greed for petty gains had put himself and everyone else in danger.

Even the ladies outside were caught in the crossfire, since they hadn't originally planned to come here.

Mara, the guide, spoke.

"I told Jennifer and the others about this discovery!"

Soon, Jennifer and Nydy came down to check on the situation.

The two were furious when they saw the surveillance equipment inside the deer head.

"Damn it! I was wondering why so many dark creatures were appearing!"

Jennifer was so angry she wanted to grind her teeth, and Nydy also frowned.

"No wonder the satellite phone kept failing. I suspect there's a signal jamming device here. If we can destroy it, we can contact the FEA for rescue!"

Maine isn't too far from New York State, the FEA headquarters, so it might be able to get support from the current FEA Director, Gerald.

Gerald was a loyal friend; even after leaving the Los Angeles precinct, he continued to have people from the Los Angeles precinct take care of Roy's woman.

Therefore, Jennifer and her friends had a very good impression of Gerald.

"You also have satellite phones?"

Martin and his companions widened their eyes, beginning to guess who Jennifer and Nydia were. Judging from their previous display of fighting prowess, these people were clearly not ordinary.

Jennifer didn't respond, but looked at Nydy instead.

"Nidi, can you hack into this security camera and find out where their base is?"

"It should be possible, but I need to get my laptop, which is still in the RV!"

After getting out of the RV, Nidi didn't touch the laptop again.

To retrieve the laptop, they had to risk leaving the cabin and returning to the RV.

Now, who knows how many dark creatures are lurking in the pitch-black forest outside the cabin? Leaving the cabin would definitely be extremely dangerous.

But Jennifer and Nydy decided to go ahead anyway. If they could find the location of the base, their chances of survival would increase, and they had to take the risk.

"Nidi, I'll cover you, let's get back to the RV together!"

The two walked out of the basement and explained the situation to the other women, who were generally supportive.

Then, Jennifer transformed into her demon form, holding the Alien Queen Shield in one hand and the executioner's knife in the other, and led the way out of the cabin, with Nydy following closely behind, holding the Book of Genesis.

Outside the cabin, all was silent. It was summer, yet not a single insect chirped. The surrounding forest was as still as a dead forest.

Jennifer was cautiously on guard against her surroundings, but surprisingly, the two of them were not attacked until they successfully entered the RV, as if the dark creatures around them had all fled.

Niddy quickly found her laptop to take with her, while Jennifer stood cautiously at the entrance of the RV.

Then, the attack finally came, but it didn't come from the surroundings, but from under your feet!

Caught completely off guard, Jennifer was grabbed by the ankles by two vines that grew out of the ground.

"Wortfalk!"

Jennifer, who was pulled down by the vines, couldn't help but swear. Nidi, who was in the car, heard the noise and quickly got out to check on the situation.

"Jennifer, what happened?"

By this time, Jennifer was already being dragged along by the vines and could only barely slow down with the executioner's knife.

As it turns out, being too sharp isn't necessarily a good thing. Because the executioner's blade was too sharp, it couldn't slow down the vines when it was inserted into the ground, causing Jennifer to be dragged further and further away.

Seeing this, Nydy quickly fired in Jennifer's direction, using her superb marksmanship to break the vines that were dragging Jennifer.

But the attack was not over yet.

"Nidi, watch your step!"

Vines also sprouted from Nedy's feet, and because Nedy was significantly lighter than Jennifer in her demon form, the vines wrapped around her feet and lifted her up.

It was a close call that Neddy almost dropped her laptop in fright. If the laptop had broken, Jennifer and Neddy's plans would have been completely ruined.

"Let go of Nidi!"

Jennifer flapped her wings, her body erupting in hellfire, and glided towards Nydy, successfully severing the vines.

The two took off simultaneously, shaking off the increasing attacks from the vines.

"Damn it! Where did all these vines come from?!"

Jennifer looked around at the forest; there was probably more than one tree spirit inside, which was bad news for Jennifer, Nydey, and the others.

If the tree spirit starts attacking the wooden house, the wooden floorboards probably won't be able to stop it.

We must find those guys' base as soon as possible!

Nidi bit her lip; the situation was becoming increasingly unfavorable.

"Let's go back to the cabin first!"

Flying in the air, the vines could no longer attack Jennifer and Nydy, but at this time, a large number of flying monsters also appeared in the sky.

They looked very much like the harpies from mythology, and they swarmed towards Jennifer and Nydy.

(Harpy)
Jennifer and Nydy rarely had the opportunity for aerial combat, so they were temporarily held back by the harpies.

Fortunately, at that moment, Heather and Penny ran outside the cabin and pulled the triggers towards the sky. The firepower of the four Uzi submachine guns was quite formidable, and they nearly knocked all the feathers off the harpies in the sky.

However, this also made Heather and Penny targets of the tree spirits.

"Heather Penny, watch your step!"

The Ghost Wolf bloodline provides a significant amount of agility, which makes Heather and Penny react very quickly. After being alerted, they used the explosive power unique to Ghost Wolf form to dodge the attack from the underground vines.

"Jennifer Federdy, come in quickly!"

Heather and Penny had retreated back into the cabin, but they still stood guard at the door for Jennifer and Neddy.

Jennifer and Nydy escaped the harpy's clutches and swooped back into the cabin.

Heather quickly closed the door, and the area outside the cabin returned to silence, as if nothing had happened.

"Phew! Just how many monsters are out there?"

Jennifer was breathing heavily; her heart was still pounding.

Nidi struggled to her feet.

"Never mind that for now, I'll use my laptop to hack the surveillance equipment right now."

With Nidi's help, the surveillance equipment in the basement was quickly hacked.

"Hey, that base is right below us!"

"Down there? Nidi, is there an entrance inside the cabin?"

"Yes, it's in this basement. I've already opened the entrance to the passage remotely."

At that moment, everyone saw that one wall of the basement had opened, revealing an elevator behind it.
