Chapter 386 God is Dead
The Bible does not explicitly describe the image of God. As an all-knowing, all-powerful, and omnipresent Lord, God's image is not fixed.

However, the image of God in most people's minds is probably that of a kind old man with white hair and a white beard.

So Roy simply combined the existing settings, and then the image of a marble statue appeared in front of Cain. Cain, who had seen God before, had no doubts whatsoever, and on the spot revealed a huge secret.

God is dead?

Roy didn't know how Cain came to this conclusion, since the four archangels only said that God was missing, and no one confirmed God's life or death.

But judging from Cain's expression, he didn't seem to be joking. This guy seemed to know some secrets that even the four archangels didn't know.

Roy, who originally wanted to kill Cain outright, changed his mind and decided to try to extract some information from him first.

"I'm right here, why are you saying I'm dead?"

Cain really felt like he was going crazy; he had a similar feeling when he was at the end of the universe.

"Because of the curse, my curse comes from you, so I can feel the connection with you, but suddenly one day this connection was broken, so I knew you were dead!"

How do you know this wasn't something I initiated by cutting off contact?

Roy's words left Cain speechless, and then the guy instantly connected the dots to other things.

"So that's how it is. So the third-generation vampire summoned me back to Earth just to send me back to my death? You hypocrite!"

"Cain, you should know how grave your sins are, so why did you come back?"

Cain craned his neck, gazing up at Roy, who was as tall as a mountain.

"Heavy sins? It's clearly you who's unfair! You treat me and Abel completely differently; you're biased and you look down on me!"

Roy feigned a sigh.

"Because I had already seen your future, I gave you a chance to change yourself, but you still made the wrong decision."

These words stunned Cain. At that moment, he felt as if he had returned to the Garden of Eden, to the moment when he personally killed his brother Abel.

It all started with this murder, which caused Adam to lose two sons, and Cain himself to be cursed with eternal damnation.

For a long time, Cain had been driven by his resentment toward God, but Roy's dubious explanation made his resentment untenable.

"No! This is fake! You're clearly being biased! Don't think you can fool me!"

Although he said he wouldn't be deceived, Cain's eyes clearly showed signs of wavering.

Roy shook his head, a look of compassion on his face.

"Cain, since you have not repented, I have no choice but to end this."

Cain gave a bitter laugh.

"Come on, kill me! You should have killed me back in the Garden of Eden!"

Roy stretched out his enormous hand and struck Cain, instantly obliterating him and the entire dream world.

Roy then exited Cain's dream and returned to reality.

"Mr. Black, how is it going?"

When Elise noticed that Roy had opened his eyes, she knew that he had come out of the other person's dream.

However, Roy was still somewhat uncertain, after all, this was the first time he had killed someone in his dream, and the person he killed was a legendary figure of Cain's caliber, and the system had not reacted.

"I'm not so sure, although I did destroy Cain's mind and dreams."

Upon hearing this, Elise risked opening her Eye of God to see Cain's future, even though it might worsen her condition, but she had no other way to ascertain Cain's status.

"No! Cain's spirit is indeed dead, but his body is still alive!"

"What did you say?"

As soon as he finished speaking, Cain's body suddenly exploded, turning into a huge black mud monster.

This situation was unexpected for Roy, because without Cain's spirit, his body had become uncontrollable and even more difficult to manage.

At least the Incarnation of Fear, the Incarnation of Desire, and the Sleeping Curse have completely lost their effect on Cain's body. This guy doesn't even have thoughts, so how can you make him feel fear, desire, or sleep?
"Elise, what should I do?"

Roy had never dealt with this situation before and didn't know how to handle it. The black sludge was getting bigger and bigger and was about to flow out.

It's hard to say what would happen if the black sludge formed from Cain's body were allowed to flow into the sewers; it could very well be a huge disaster.

Elise gritted her teeth, her eyes flashing blue light beneath the black cloth, clearly still using her divine eye to glimpse the future.

This increased the strain on Elise's body, but it also allowed her to see many possibilities for the future.

A few seconds later, Elise spat out a mouthful of blood, her breath became weak and feeble, and she could no longer even maintain the light wall.

Fortunately, Claire transformed into her angel form and used her power to maintain the light wall, preventing the Shadow Hunters from being completely wiped out.

"Blake, use your tentacles to absorb this sludge, absorb it all!"

After saying this, Elise collapsed to the ground, with some of the black sludge covering her body.

Roy used the Touch of Darkness to create nine tentacles that began to frantically absorb the surrounding black sludge, and pulled Elise out of the sludge.

However, despite Roy's very fast movements, some of the black sludge still entered Elise's body. Her skin began to darken, and strange black veins appeared.

This was definitely not normal, but Roy could only hold Elise's body first and then control the Dark Touch to absorb the surrounding black sludge.

The power of Dark Touch depends entirely on Roy himself. Now, with a constitution of 129, Roy transforms into his demon form, and his constitution reaches a staggering 189.
To be honest, Roy couldn't absorb Krakens back then, but now one Kraken isn't enough for him to absorb.

In just a few minutes, Roy had absorbed the gushing black sludge into his body.

However, Cain's body continued to gush out black sludge. His body had actually deteriorated, leaving only a black ring about the size of a basketball. The black sludge was actually gushing out from this ring.

Fortunately, the Dark Touch absorbed the black sludge far faster than the black ring could produce it.

This thing can no longer be considered a living thing. Roy suddenly had an idea: could he put this black ring into his inventory? If time were frozen, would it stop spraying dirty things?
So Roy controlled his tentacles to pick up the black ring and bring it to his face. With a wave of his hand, the ring was sent into his inventory.

The black silt never reappeared.

[Ding! You have obtained Cain's Treasure Chest! Open it?]

It worked!
And the system actually recognized the circle.

[The Ring of Darkness: A ring of darkness from the ends of the universe, representing the primordial darkness of the cosmos. Light and darkness cycle endlessly; when light dies, darkness will rule the earth. Remember, he who gazes into the abyss will become the abyss!]

The description of this item seemed to be hinting at something, and combined with Cain's earlier statement in the dream that God was dead, Roy had a bad feeling.

"Roy, how is Teacher Elise?" Claire interrupted Roy's thoughts, looking at Elise in Roy's arms with tears streaming down her face.

After much effort, Claire had stabilized the Shadow Hunter's injuries, but Elise seemed to be on the verge of death.

Roy could sense that Elise's breathing was very weak, and the forces of darkness and light within her body were constantly clashing, which seemed to be accelerating the rate at which Elise's body was collapsing.

However, Uriel's soul did not leave her body and return to heaven like Michael's, which means that she can still be saved.

Roy immediately transformed into an eight-winged angel and channeled the power of holy light into Elise's body, finally stabilizing her body somewhat.

It's only slightly more stable; if Roy stops channeling Holy Light, Elise's body will still collapse.

This left Roy helpless, after all, he was just a warrior, at most a warrior who knew some magic, and how to heal others was a blind spot in his knowledge.

In the past, Roy would simply and directly channel holy light energy into people to heal them; if it worked, he would heal, and if it didn't, there was nothing he could do.

How to do?
Roy frowned, pondering how to treat Elise. His first thought was Adrian; as long as Raphael was present, he would surely be able to solve Elise's problem.

But when Roy picked up the satellite phone to contact Adrian, he found that Adrian's phone was out of service.

Waterfark!

Adrian also had military satellite phones. The only way to make a military satellite phone out of service is either underground or underwater.

In short, Adrian was out of the question, and Roy had to find another way.

Then Roy thought of Lucifer.

Although Lucifer is already the Demon King of Hell, he might be willing to lend a helping hand if he sees his old colleague in trouble.

When Roy called Lucifer, the guy was also out of service.

Could it be that Lucifer and Raphael have made plans to go to sea together?
Speechless, Roy was left with only one option: to find Elizabeth.

"Claire, I need to find someone to rescue Ms. Elise. I'm leaving this to you. Please let Saltana know for me."

Claire bit her lip and nodded, then looked at Roy with pleading eyes.

"Roy, you must save Teacher Iris!"

Roy nodded solemnly, then placed his hand on the Belial brand on his chest to contact Elizabeth. He then hoisted Iris's body, summoned Claudia, and drove away on his motorcycle.

Not long after Roy left, Paxton Fairtay came in with a large group of agents.

"What happened? Why did Roy Black leave with Ms. Elise without saying a word?!"

Claire wiped away her tears and explained to Roy.

"Professor Elise is seriously injured, and Roy took her to receive treatment!"

Upon hearing this, Paxton's eyes flickered, as if he had thought of something.

"So the Elders have resolved everything? Explain everything in detail right now!"

Claire opened her mouth, unsure where to begin, which annoyed Paxton.

"I'm asking you something!"

Saltana knew that Claire and Roy had a rather ambiguous relationship, so she stepped in to stop Paxton from questioning her.

“Deputy Director Felte, the questioning can be done later. The most important thing now is to clean up the mess.”

Paxton looked at Saltana with displeasure.

"Are you questioning my choice, Rivera? Who exactly is the deputy director?"

"Even if you're a deputy director, can't you accept criticism? Even the president has to accept people's criticism!"

Saltana fearlessly confronted Paxton head-on. Orin was already on the plane and was expected to arrive in Los Angeles that evening, so she had no need to be afraid of Paxton Fairtay.

Paxton was undoubtedly furious at Saltana's direct confrontation, but Gerald had gradually gained control of the FEA Los Angeles branch after more than half a year of management.

At least the agents on the scene were more willing to listen to Saltana, the director's confidante, than Paxton, the deputy director.

In reality, Paxton was only truly able to command the clone army.

"Rivera, you're very good! I will report this to headquarters as fact, you just wait!"

After uttering a harsh remark, Paxton stormed off, leaving the on-site work to Saltana.

"Go ahead and report it!"

Saltana knew that with her relationship with Roy, there was no way FEA headquarters would fire her.

Even after Gerald's term expires and he is transferred to another branch office or promoted directly to headquarters, Saltana could potentially succeed him as the head of the Los Angeles branch office.

"Sir, what should we do now?"

As soon as Paxton left, the agents on site immediately followed Saltana's lead, even though there were several senior agents who were of equal rank to Saltana.

"First, get the wounded to the hospital, then start clearing the scene! Everyone, we have a lot to do, so we'll have to trouble you all!"

Many agents said they weren't working hard, but in reality, they put in a lot of effort.

Last night, after the Elders began their infiltration of the Shadow Hunter base, FEA agents began sealing off the surrounding area. They were on edge all night, and everyone was exhausted.

But there was nothing they could do; having received their FEA salaries, the agents had no choice but to work overtime.

At least the FEA's benefits are decent, so the agents have no choice but to accept it.

Saltana didn't rest either, standing on the scene supervising the agents' work, but she didn't notice that someone was hiding in a corner.

"What a fantastic battle!"

This man was a handsome middle-aged man in a sharp suit, exuding a mysterious aura.

Strangely, the surrounding agents seemed oblivious to the handsome middle-aged man, walking past him without anyone noticing his presence.

If you recall, you might remember a mysterious middle-aged man who appeared during the midnight cannibal train incident.

That's right, this handsome middle-aged man is the same middle-aged man.

The handsome middle-aged man's gaze swept across the scene before settling on Claire, revealing a meaningful smile.
