American Horror Story, Starting from Falls Town
Chapter 350 doesn't seem like a huge loss.
Chapter 350 doesn't seem like a huge loss.
Roy opened the bedroom door anyway, to introduce himself to his roommate.
"Let me formally introduce myself. My name is Roy Black, and I am a freshman this year."
"Shorty Meeks, I'm also a freshman this year. Wait! Dude, you look familiar? Have you been on TV before?"
Shawdy reached out to shake hands with Roy, but Roy didn't extend his hand; who knows what the guy had just touched?
However, Shawdy didn't pay much attention to it because he found Roy very familiar, as if he had seen him somewhere before.
"Yes, besides being a freshman, I am also a boxer."
Xiao Di suddenly realized what was going on and showed a very surprised expression.
"I know! You're that heavyweight boxing champion from the Sydney Olympics! Cool! My roommate is an Olympic champion! Jenny, come out and see!"
The Black woman named Jenny was still getting dressed in Shawdy's bedroom when she heard Shawdy's voice and came out wearing only her underwear.
This pork belly is so dark and black!
Roy found it extremely offensive!
"What's wrong, honey?"
"Look! It's a living Olympic champion!"
Jenny probably doesn't watch boxing matches either, so when she heard what Shawdy said, she just felt a bit confused but impressed.
"Really? That's wonderful!"
After giving a casual reply, Jenny went back to her room to continue getting dressed.
"Hey bro! Can I get your autograph? Your performance at the Olympics was absolutely awesome!"
Shawdy's manner of speaking and behaving perfectly matched Roy's stereotypes about Black people.
He is easily agitated, speaks like rap, and has very expressive body language.
However, since they were roommates, Roy still granted the other's request and signed an autograph for him.
"That's awesome! I have to take it home and show it off to my brothers!"
"Shorty, if there's nothing else, I'd like to tidy up the bedroom."
"Of course! Brother, you can call me Shorty from now on, no need to be so polite!"
Shorty? While the name Shawdy does indeed mean short in English, Shawdy is actually over 1.7 meters tall. Why is he nicknamed "Shorty"?
Roy asked curiously, and Shawdy replied indifferently.
It turns out that Xiao Di has two older brothers, both of whom are very tall and are also athletes.
My eldest brother is a basketball player, over two meters tall, and my second brother is a rugby player, also 1.9 meters tall.
Compared to his two older brothers, isn't Shawdy short?
“I wouldn’t have been able to get into UCLA otherwise, but my two older brothers are both UCLA’s meritorious athletes, so they brought me in as well.”
Well, so Xiao Di is also someone with connections. That makes no surprise.
After that, Xiao Di called his relatives and friends to brag that his roommate was an Olympic champion.
That's just the nature of Black people; they want the whole world to know about even the smallest things.
Anyone who didn't know better would think that Xiao Di had won the Olympic gold medal himself.
Meanwhile, the trio of Marian were not so happy.
After being scared by Roy, the three of them fled UCLA in a panic and then went to a coffee shop off campus to calm down.
The operation's failure dealt a heavy blow to Marian, the mastermind behind the plan. Her delicate face was slumped on the table, looking utterly dejected.
None of the three spoke until Mike, the oldest among them, finally spoke.
"Cough cough! On the bright side, at least we're still alive, aren't we?"
Marian rolled her eyes.
"I feel like I'd rather be dead!"
Mike scratched his head and offered some words of comfort to Marian.
“Marianne, I think Roy Black is probably just trying to scare you and doesn’t really want to be interviewed!”
Mike meant to reassure Marian, but Marian seemed to have misunderstood.
Marian looked up instantly, staring into Mike's eyes and asking a question.
"Mike, why would you say that?"
“Think about it, since Roy Black participated in the Olympics, went to UCLA, and is working with official organizations like the FEA, he must be a law-abiding person and shouldn’t do anything bad.”
This statement is not very credible, after all, there are many people in this world who appear to be very well-behaved on the surface, but who are more extravagant than anyone else in private.
However, Marian took these words as a lifeline, unwilling to accept defeat.
"So that's how it is! Mike, what do you think we can do to deal with Roy Black?"
Upon hearing this, Mike's face darkened like Franklin's; he had absolutely no desire to have anything to do with Roy.
At Mike's age, he just wanted to live a peaceful life until retirement and didn't want to die young.
Who knows who will receive the compensation and custody of the children after I die?
“Marianne, I think you'd better not focus your attention on Roy Black!”
But Marian was clearly caught up in the moment and didn't listen to Mike at all. Instead, she looked at Franklin, who hadn't said a word.
"Xiao Fu, what do you think?"
How else could Franklin watch it? Of course, he'd sit down and watch it!
However, faced with Marian's sharp gaze, Franklin quickly racked his brains.
"Uh, I think Roy Black might be a womanizer. Aren't all athletes like that? Full of energy, Tyson, Jordan, they're all playboys."
Marian frowned and pondered for a moment.
"What you said makes some sense. I noticed before that Roy's private room was full of beautiful women. Could it be that I interrupted his good time, and that's why he's angry?"
Marianne knew exactly what tricks to use to deal with a lecherous man, and she happened to have the means to do so.
"By the way! Could it be that Keller Evans, the Los Angeles Times reporter who often works with Roy Black, also gets his stories through this kind of method?"
Marian looked at Mike, who had worked in the media industry for a long time and knew many people.
“I don’t know! But Keller Evans is indeed very beautiful. I remember there was someone at the station who was pursuing Keller Evans, and I once saw a picture of this female reporter through him.”
Marianne slammed her fist on the table, now completely certain that there was something wrong with Roy and Keller Evans's relationship.
"Damn it! So this is how it is?"
Should I do the same?
Thinking about it carefully, Roy Black is handsome and must have a great physique as an athlete, so it doesn't seem like he's at a disadvantage.
But Marian felt resentful because it went against her principles.
"Forget it, let's think about it some more. Maybe things will turn around?"
Mike was getting a growing headache.
“Marianne, there’s no need to keep focusing on Roy Black! We have plenty of other news stories to follow!”
Marian glared at Mike.
"If you're scared, you don't have to follow Roy Black's trail! Franklin, what about you?"
Franklin was also very hesitant, because he had just sensed real killing intent from Roy.
Having grown up in a predominantly Black neighborhood, Franklin could tell that this murderous aura was far more terrifying than any of the Black bosses he had ever encountered.
Therefore, Franklin concluded that Roy definitely had a lot of lives on his hands.
This judgment made Franklin hesitate.
Marian became even angrier when she saw Franklin's hesitant attitude.
"If none of you want to get involved, then forget it. I can handle Roy Black all by myself!" With that, Marian grabbed her bag and stormed out of the coffee shop.
Mike and Franklin exchanged a glance.
"How to do?"
Franklin instinctively sought the advice of his elders.
"There shouldn't be any problems. I don't think Roy Black is a bad guy."
Upon hearing this, Franklin breathed a sigh of relief; he still trusted Mike's judgment.
"That's good! I was really scared of that Roy Black; I felt like he was going to kill me any second!"
“Little Fu, I had the same feeling, but that’s probably just Roy Black scaring us. Wait, didn’t Marian leave without paying?”
Upon hearing this, Franklin immediately began to stare at Mike.
"Mike, don't tell me you didn't bring any cash!"
Mike awkwardly spread his hands.
"Married middle-aged men, please try to understand."
"Don't give me that! You definitely have money on you, let me see it!"
"Don't touch me! I really didn't bring any money!"
Just as Mike and Franklin were arguing about the bill, Marianne, who stormed out of the coffee shop, ran into the last person she wanted to see.
"It really is you, Marian! I thought your back looked familiar! What, trying to stir up some big news?"
Gretchen, wearing sunglasses, looked at Marian with a mocking expression.
This woman, upon seeing Marian, silently ran over and blocked Marian's path.
The purpose, of course, is to see the frustrated expression on the face of one's competitors.
What could make a winner happier than humiliating a loser to their face?
Marianne glared at Gretchen through gritted teeth. She knew Gretchen's purpose and tried hard to control her emotions, not wanting him to succeed.
But sometimes you can't control your emotions just because you want to.
"Gretchen, you're so smug, aren't you? You actually slept with that old lecher for this interview with Roy Black?"
Gretchen smiled.
“Marianne, you’re overthinking it. A customized, formulaic interview isn’t worth my sacrifice. Who told you to have such poor connections at the TV station? Heh, what good is strong work ability? This world often comes down to social connections!”
Marianne gritted her teeth, her face turning bright red, as if she were about to explode.
Gretchen didn't provoke Marianne any further, otherwise it would be rather unsightly if the other woman lost her temper and started fighting with her.
"Goodbye, loser. Remember to speak nicer to others next time."
After saying that, Gretchen turned and left.
"Damn it, I'm going to take care of Roy Black and make a big splash! Ouch!"
Furious, Marian kicked a nearby telephone pole hard, the pain almost bringing tears to her eyes.
"Marianne, you can't cry! But it really hurts!"
Holding back her tears, Marian limped home, her back view looking extremely disheveled.
Evening arrived quickly. After dinner, Claire returned to her dorm and saw Mary meticulously dressing herself up. She had never seen Mary put so much effort into her makeup before.
There are generally only two possibilities for a woman to dress up so carefully: either she's going to see her love rival, or she's going to see her lover.
Claire ambushed Mary from behind, grabbing Mary's large, enviable breasts and rubbing them a few times.
"Merry, are you going on a date with Roy Black tonight?"
Mary was startled by Claire's actions.
"Ouch! What are you doing! Let go of me!"
"I won't let go! Unless you confess to me whether you're dating Roy Black!"
Mary was extremely embarrassed, partly because of Claire's outrageous behavior, and partly because her relationship had been discovered by her friend.
"I confess, I really do have a date with Roy! Now you can relax, right?"
Upon hearing this, Claire released her grip and looked at Mary with a face full of surprise.
"No way, Mary, are you serious?"
Mei continued applying makeup in front of the mirror.
"Can't I have a boyfriend?"
"That's certainly possible, but..."
Claire looked hesitant, unsure whether she should say something.
"But what? Just say what you have to say!"
"I saw that Olympic champion was surrounded by beautiful women, and it seemed like he had a special relationship with each of them."
The interactions during lunch were so obvious that Claire saw it all clearly; Roy had basically been flirting with every woman except her.
Worried that her friend was being blinded by love, Claire couldn't help but speak up.
"You mean this? I know! Those women are all Roy's women."
"What did you say!"
Claire thought she had misheard.
“I said, those women are actually all Roy’s women.”
Mei repeated what she had just said, her expression nonchalant, as if she were talking about something trivial.
Claire cupped Mary's face in disbelief and looked into her eyes.
"Merry, you know he's dating you? Are you crazy?"
Mary rolled her eyes and brushed Claire's hand away.
"You're the one who's crazy! Roy and I are truly in love!"
"God! You must have taken the wrong medicine! Isn't your ideal to find a soulmate?"
As Mary's friend, Claire naturally knew about her ideals, which was what puzzled her the most.
"I never said that this soulmate has to love only me, did I?"
These words left Claire speechless until Mary finished her makeup and was about to leave, at which point she finally spoke.
"Merry, I want to go too!"
Mary looked at Claire in surprise.
"Claire, this is a date between Roy and me. Why are you coming along?"
Claire glared at Mary.
"I want to see what kind of magic Roy Black used on you to turn you into this!"
Upon hearing this, Mary's expression turned strange; she sensed that Claire's attitude was somewhat dangerous.
"Are you sure?"
"I am sure!"
