Chapter 208 Infiltrating the Fire Phoenix Mansion and Encountering Kosa

So Ophelia changed herself and Danel into the linen clothes she had made before and left the space.

Because she had just observed that most of the residents of the Holy City were wearing linen.

She was wearing animal skins, which made her stand out in the crowd, and it was obvious that she was not from the Holy City.

Because she didn't know the exact location of the Fire Phoenix Clan, Ophelia didn't dare to ask anyone casually.

She could only lead Dan'er blindly searching around the city, but after a long time she still couldn't find the location of the Fire Phoenix Clan.

"Dan'er, can you sense where your father Zeref is? Let's go find him first."

"Yes, Mother."

Dan nodded and began to sense Zeref's location.
It wasn't until noon that Danl sensed Zeref's location.

"Mother, she's over there."

Ophelia quickly picked up Danel and walked in the direction he was pointing.

But after walking for a short while, Dan'er in her arms suddenly began to tremble.

"Dan'er, what's wrong?"

"Mother, I'm in so much pain. They're hurting Cohen again."

Upon hearing this, Ophelia immediately became anxious and stood there, unsure of what to do.

“Mother, I can sense Cohen over there.” The pain intensified the connection between Dan and Cohen.

Ophelia looked at Zeref's location and then at Cohen's location; they were in opposite positions.

Now that Dan is in danger, she can't afford to waste any more time going to find Zeref.

So Ophelia hugged Danl tightly and ran toward Cohen's direction.

Arriving at a magnificent mansion, Dan was certain that Cohen was inside.

“Mother, Cohen is here, they are still hurting him.”

"Okay, you go into the space first, I'll find a chance to go in."

Ophelia put Danel into her spatial storage and straightened her clothes, which had become disheveled from running.

She calmly walked to the gate of the mansion.

The male guarding the gate stopped her. "Who are you?"

"I am a cousin of the Winged Dragon Clan. The Winged Dragon Clan Chief sent me to deliver a message to the Fire Phoenix Clan Chief." Ophelia clenched her fists, feigning composure on the surface, but in reality, she was panicking.

"Did the Pterosaur family send you to deliver a message?"

The two male guards looked puzzled; they didn't seem to have heard of any female cousin among the pterosaurs.

Moreover, the two family heads usually delivered messages in person, and never had anyone else deliver them.

"What, you don't believe me? Why don't you go and ask the Pterodactyl family head yourself?" Ophelia feigned annoyance.

Seeing her like this, the two male guards began to believe her a little.

However, they remained very cautious. "You wait here while I report to the head of the family and see if he wants to see you."

"Okay, I'll wait here."

Ophelia did not panic because of the male's words.

After everyone left, Ophelia secretly observed the remaining male gatekeeper, mentally estimating the probability of her being able to knock him unconscious.
Thinking that Cohen might be being tortured right now, she didn't care about anything else.

She pretended to fall to the ground accidentally, "Ouch, that hurts."

"I hurt my ankle and can't get up. Come and help me."

The male gatekeeper had no doubts and quickly went to help.

But as soon as he bent down and stretched out his hand, he felt a sharp pain in his neck, and then his vision went black and he collapsed to the ground.

Seeing this, Ophelia disregarded everything else, lifted her linen skirt, and walked into the Phoenix Mansion.

She didn't know exactly where Cohen was, so she found a room and hid.

Unfortunately, she happened to be hiding in Kosa's room.

"Ophelia, what are you doing here?" Kosa was surprised to see Ophelia suddenly barge in.

Before he could even call for help, Ophelia had already pressed a dagger against his neck. "Where's Cohen?"

"Forget about it, I won't tell you." A gloomy look flashed in Kosa's eyes as he stubbornly refused to reveal Cohen's location.

Ophelia hardened her heart and increased the pressure on her hand, and a bloody gash immediately appeared on Kosa's neck.

Blood was flowing down his neck.

Kosa's pupils contracted slightly. He thought Ophelia was just trying to scare him, but he didn't expect her to actually dare to make a move.

"Can you tell me?"

"I won't tell," Kosa said with a look of grim determination.

He wouldn't give Ophelia a chance to rescue Cohen; he and Ophelia were mortal enemies long ago.

Even if he dies, he'll drag Ophelia down with him.

So he shouted, "Someone's attacking! Someone's attacking!"

Ophelia narrowed her eyes, raised her hand, and plunged the dagger deep into Kosa's neck, blood gushing out like a fountain.

Kosa clutched his neck, unable to speak any longer.

Ophelia bit her lip and brought Danl out of the space again.

"Dan'er, hurry up and sense Cohen's location."

Upon hearing this, Dan'er didn't dare to waste any time and patiently sensed it.

"My mother is in the south. There is a small mountain in the south with a cave inside."

Because of the closer distance, Dan could sense the location more precisely.

Just then, the sound of hurried footsteps came from outside, clearly attracted by the sound Kosa had just made.

Ophelia remained calm and entered the space with Danel.

The door was soon opened, and two male Fire Phoenixes walked in.

As soon as they entered, they saw Khosa lying on the ground, covered in blood.

A male stepped forward and helped him up. "Khosa?"

At this moment, Kose was still clinging to life, and his pupils were dilated.

He couldn't understand why Ophelia had suddenly disappeared before his eyes, but he was certain that Ophelia hadn't left the room.

He wanted to warn the two males, but because of the wound on his neck, he couldn't speak at all and could only stare helplessly at the spot where Ophelia had just disappeared.

The two males naturally didn't understand what he meant, nor did they intend to treat Kosa; they simply watched silently as he completely lost his breath.

"Khosa is dead. Should we tell the head of the family?"

"No need. He's just a male from a lowly tribe. The patriarch won't care whether he lives or dies."

"you're right."

"Ever since he arrived, he's been trying to outdo us by relying on the fact that the family head treats him with some respect. He deserves to die now."

"Who killed him?"

The male glanced at his companion. "Who cares who killed him? At least he did a good deed."

"Right."

The two males showed no intention of finding the mastermind behind the murder; they exchanged a few words and then left the room.

Once the sound of their footsteps had completely disappeared, Ophelia emerged from the space.

She shook her head when she saw the male lying dead on the ground with his eyes wide open.

It's quite remarkable that someone could reach Khosa's level; even in death, he didn't cause a ripple.

Ophelia waited a while longer, and when she heard no footsteps outside, she walked in the direction Danl had indicated.

When she encountered people along the way, she would hide in her spatial dimension and come out again after the people left.

Twice, she was face to face with someone, but she disappeared the next second. The Fire Phoenix Clan searched for a while but couldn't find her, so they thought they were seeing things.

And so Ophelia successfully arrived at the small hill to the south and found the cave that Dan had mentioned.
