Chapter 174 Lobak's Departure or Stay

Ophelia sighed as she looked at the two people on the ground who would rather die than stay together.

At this moment, an elderly male with white hair came out holding a parchment scroll and the clan chief's token.

His eyes were filled with tears. "Ophelia, I am the Great Elder of the Tiger Clan. This is the map of the Tiger Clan tribe and the chieftain's token. The chieftain asked me to give them to you."

Seeing that the White Tiger Clan Chief was willing to die, Baima took pity on him and allowed him to see the last two people.

One is her cousin, and the other is the tribe's elder.

Ophelia solemnly accepted the items and announced, "From now on, the White Tiger Clan will submit to my Fu Clan tribe and be renamed the Tiger Tribe. You can elect a minister yourselves and come to the Fu Clan tribe to meet with me in three days."

The male members of the White Tiger Clan witnessed their clan leader's suicide and were deeply moved.

"Even if we die, we will never submit to the Fu tribe."

"Same for us."

Ophelia wasn't angry at the males' resistance; she simply turned her gaze to the Tiger Clan's Grand Elder.

The elder immediately understood his meaning, and he nodded and turned to the few males who were making a ruckus.

"Our chieftain said his death had nothing to do with Ophelia. Ophelia was a very good chieftain, and with her, our tribe will surely grow stronger."

"But, but..." Some males were still unwilling to give up.

The elder interrupted the male. "You all heard it with your own ears just now; the clan leader admitted his mistake."

"Everyone, listen to me, stop making a scene."

Seeing that the males had gradually calmed down, Ophelia slowly spoke.

"If any of you are unwilling to join the Fu tribe, I will not force you; you may leave on your own."

"If you join the Fu tribe and are interested, I will share planting and breeding techniques with you. This is something the Tiger tribe chief has been talking to me about."

"I'm giving you three days. I hope you can think it over carefully. If anyone stays and tries to cause trouble, don't blame me for being impolite."

After saying this, Ophelia returned to the Fu tribe with Taylor and Klein.

When the two returned to the Fu tribe, they saw a skinny little beastman standing outside the three-story stone house.

The little orc was covered in wounds, his mouth was bluish-purple, and his purple eyes had lost their luster.

Hearing Ophelia return, he gently flicked his eyelids, but quickly lowered them again.

"Mother, you're back?" Wendy ran out of the stone house with her short legs.

Because she was running in a hurry, she tripped over a stone by the roadside and her small body wobbled and fell to the ground.

"Ah!" Wendy turned pale with fright, and her first reaction was to cover her face.

Ophelia was very worried when she saw her fall, but she was too far away to reach her.

Just then, a pair of slender arms embraced Wendy, and the two small figures intertwined and fell to the ground.

Wendy waited a while and, noticing there was no pain, opened her eyes in surprise.

Only then did she realize that Loebak's body had acted as a human cushion, protecting her from injury.

Ophelia quickly stepped forward to help Wendy up and carefully examined her body.

Taylor picked Lobak up from the ground and felt a pang of heartache when he saw the scrapes on Lobak's elbows and knees.

"Mother, I'm alright, Loebak saved me." Wendy shook her little head, taking credit for Loebak.

Ophelia breathed a sigh of relief and then turned to look at Loebak in Taylor's arms.

"Lobak, thank you."

"It's alright, Chief Ophelia."

“Princess, Lobak is injured. I’m taking him to the treatment room to treat his wounds.”

Ophelia looked at the numerous wounds on Lobak's body and felt a pang of sorrow. How much inhuman abuse had this child suffered since childhood?

"Go."

"No need, no need. Chieftain, these are just minor injuries, they'll heal in a couple of days." Lobak had heard of the Fu tribe's treatment room and knew that the medicines inside were effective, but very expensive, beyond his means.

"I have no payment to give you."

Ophelia patted his head. "Silly boy, you were injured saving Wendy, why would I ask you for payment?"

"You and Taylor go and treat your wounds. I have something to tell you when you get back."

Loebak twirled his little finger as Taylor carried him to the treatment room.

When they returned, Klein had already prepared lunch, and a fragrant roasted leg of lamb was placed in front of Lobak.

Lobak was somewhat at a loss, and he kept swallowing.

Although he was very hungry, he endured it.

"Eat up," Ophelia said softly when she heard his stomach rumble.

“Yes, yes, Lobak, eat up! You’re so thin, you need to eat more so you can grow up to be chubby and healthy.” Wendy came over at some point.

She placed her small bowl in front of Lobak. "This is my meat porridge; you can have some too."

Although Loebak couldn't understand Wendy's babbling dragon language, he could roughly understand what she meant.

He bit his lip and shook his head. "No, thank you. I'm not hungry."

Wendy's eyes immediately welled up with tears when Loebak refused.

The little female's watery eyes were full of accusation.

Lobak's first reaction was to check on Ophelia. Seeing that Ophelia wasn't angry, he was relieved but also somewhat at a loss.

"Don't cry."

Wendy snorted and pushed the stone bowl towards Loebak, her face urging him on. "Eat quickly."

Lobak blushed and quickly nodded, "Okay, I'll eat it, don't cry."

"Since we're letting you eat, just eat as much as you want. We don't have that many rules in our family."

Seeing that Ophelia was serious, Lobak stopped being coy and carefully drank from the stone bowl.

The soft, sticky rice porridge, infused with the aroma of meat, melted in his mouth. The delicious taste made Lobak's nose tingle with emotion.

Is this rice porridge? He had never eaten it before.

He had seen Huya drink rice porridge before, and the smell alone was very pleasant.

But he was of low status and not entitled to drink rice porridge.

The food he ate today was better than anything he'd eaten in the past few years; he'd be willing to die even if it meant dying tomorrow.

After everyone had finished eating, the little dragons simply took their respective utensils and went to the kitchen.

Loebak was a little flustered; he tried to help but was forced into a chair by Taylor.

"The princess has something to tell you."

Upon hearing this, Lobak immediately tensed up, nervously picking at his thumb as he looked at Ophelia.

Ophelia smiled and ruffled his somewhat rough hair.

"Don't worry, it's not a big deal."

"The Tiger Clan Chief is dead, and no one will harm you anymore. I want to ask you, do you want to return to the Tiger Clan?"

"I, I don't know."

Although he was young, he still discerned from the conversation among the group yesterday that the Tiger Clan Chief had made a grave mistake.

This mistake will cost him his life.

But aside from the tacit approval of the Tiger Clan Chief and the bullying from Tiger Fang, the other lesser beastmen in the Tiger Clan tribe were not very friendly to him either.

So even without the Tiger Clan Chief and Tiger Fang, he would still be bullied by other lesser beastmen when he returned to the Tiger Clan.
