Chapter 151 Everyone has their own secret
Seeing Mo Ziyuan and Chu Yu appear in her courtyard, Lin Xin raised an eyebrow, said nothing, and let them in.

"Xin'er, let Lao Chu go with you. That way, he can be there to help you if anything happens." Mo Ziyuan couldn't bring himself to talk about what had happened before.

"No problem." Lin Xin could tell from his uncomfortable expression that something must have happened that he didn't want her to know, so she didn't ask and readily agreed.

Her quick agreement only made Mo Ziyuan feel worse, and Chu Yu also felt somewhat guilty towards her, since he was very clear about his purpose in coming here—to monitor Lin Xin.

"Alright, stop making that face. The sky isn't falling." Seeing their stiff smiles looking worse than tears, Lin Xin couldn't help but speak up.

"Xin'er..." Mo Ziyuan began with difficulty.

“You don’t need to say anything, I know everything,” Lin Xin patted his hand reassuringly. “Don’t worry, I won’t take it to heart. Everything will be clear when we get to the capital.”

"Aren't you angry?" Mo Ziyuan asked cautiously.

"What's the use of getting angry? I'm the kind of person who likes to get revenge. Getting angry is just punishing yourself for someone else's mistakes. I'm not that stupid!" Lin Xin snorted.

“You’re right, I’ll go with you to avenge you!” Mo Ziyuan’s eyes lit up.

"No need for that, lest someone say I'm abusing my power." Lin Xin immediately refused. Just kidding, if you go, I'll have to go easy on you out of respect!

"Okay, then I'll walk you to the door and wait for you outside, is that alright?"

"Alright!" Lin Xin stroked her chin for a moment, then nodded in agreement.

Chu Yu, who had overheard their entire conversation, felt his jaw drop. Was what they were saying really what he thought? Could he at least find a suitable place to watch from the sidelines?

After dark, Lin Xin led Lin Nan and Lin Tao into an inconspicuous little carriage. Chu Yu, wearing a bamboo hat, sat outside pretending to be the driver. Under the watchful eyes of Mo Ziyuan and the others, they drove out of the village.

Once they left the town, Lin Nan and Lin Tao were already asleep, and Lin Xin was also resting with her eyes closed, leaning against the carriage. She had originally planned to knock Chu Yu unconscious once they reached a secluded spot and then store the carriage in her spatial storage. However, as soon as they left the village, she sensed several menacing gazes fixed on them. But because she was unsure if any of their targets were in the carriage, she remained on the sidelines and did not make a move.

"Miss Lin, I need to speed up. Please take good care of His Highness and Nannan." Chu Yu's low voice came from outside the carriage.

"Okay, I understand. Go ahead and speed things up!" Lin Xin replied. After pressing several acupoints on Lin Nan and Lin Tao, she placed one on each of their bodies and prepared to put them into her spatial storage.

Whether it was the carriage's acceleration that gave those people something to think about, Lin Xin suddenly sensed several auras approaching them, but they didn't make a move, instead following behind the carriage.

"Someone is following us. What should we do now?" Chu Yu asked again. Before he came, Mo Ziyuan told him that if he was unsure of anything, he should ask Lin Xin for her opinion.

"Ignore them, just keep going, and don't speed up anymore," Lin Xin replied after thinking for a moment. "Well... okay!" Chu Yu hesitated for a moment but still followed Lin Xin's advice.

"Clatter clatter clatter..." The sound of horses' hooves was exceptionally clear on the quiet path.

"Boss, what do we do? Should we follow or not?" Several men in black lying in ambush on the road turned their attention to one of the burly men.

"Damn it, how am I supposed to know whether to follow or not!" The burly man wiped his face and said irritably. The people who ordered them to ambush here didn't say that the people they were watching would leave the village at this time! Besides, this small carriage can only fit four people at most. Any more than that and it won't be able to accommodate anyone else. That's the future Crown Prince. We can't treat him like this!
"Then...should we follow them and take a look?" one of the thin men asked.

"...Alright, you can go and see. If that brat is really inside, you don't need to fight them. Just send a signal to the next person at the next stop," the burly man said after thinking for a moment.

"Alright!" the skinny man replied, lightly touching the ground with his toes as he leaped onto the large tree beside him, landing on a branch that wasn't particularly thick. His figure, dressed in black, instantly disappeared into the darkness.

"Third Brother's lightness skill has improved again." The person who had asked if he would follow earlier exclaimed in admiration as he looked at the tree branch. Just as the person landed on the branch, not a single leaf on that branch moved.

"Third Brother's lightness skill is indeed impressive. Even if he can't defeat a strong enemy in the future, he'll always be able to escape," the burly man said, looking at the tree branch.

"Luckily, the third brother was assigned to our group this time. Otherwise, with what they did, we would have been in a really difficult situation! I guess anyone else would have been discovered by now."

The man added, but none of them expected that from the moment the third brother took his first step out of the tracking carriage, Lin Xin had already sensed his presence.

"Chu Yu, someone's catching up. I'm going to take care of it. Just pretend you don't know anything and continue as usual," Lin Xin said in a low voice to Chu Yu, who was driving.

"Okay, then be careful." Chu Yu didn't hesitate and readily agreed.

Lin Xin thought about it and decided not to put the two children into her space. After all, Chu Yu was still awake, and she didn't want to take any risks.

"I'm going." After saying these three words, Lin Xin, like a slippery eel, gently lifted a corner of the carriage curtain and deliberately found a blind spot in the sight of the people following them to dart out of the carriage.

The person in the tree jumped to another branch, looking down at the carriage and figuring out how to lift the curtain and peek inside without disturbing the driver.

His ability to multitask conveniently benefited Lin Xin. She calculated the distance and jumped onto a tree to conceal herself. However, the place she chose was right next to where the person following her would land, the kind of place where she could grab them with a single reach.

"Miss Lin, Miss Lin..." Chu Yu hadn't noticed Lin Xin leaving the carriage at all. He thought she was still inside. Looking at the fork in the road ahead, he wanted to tell her to wait until they passed the intersection before proceeding, so they wouldn't get lost. But after calling her several times without getting a response, he realized that Lin Xin was no longer in the carriage.

He was startled and resisted the urge to stop the carriage and lift the curtain to take a look. He couldn't help but recall Mo Ziyuan's words of advice before he left: "If you see or feel anything incredible along the way, it's best to pretend you know nothing, because everyone has their own secrets, and Miss Lin is no exception."
