Chapter 166 "Sincere Feelings"

The water flowed over my neck, and with each slow breath, the heat made my mind hazy, and I felt a suffocating sensation in my chest.

Wen Shu's consciousness gradually returned.

Two deliberately lowered voices were muttering softly behind me.

"Have you heard? This is that traitor's mistress!"

"How could I not know? My father died in that fire back then."

A slight stinging sensation caused the female to pull out the poisoned needle, deliberately increasing the force.

“I really don’t know why the leader kept them on Dragon Island,” scalding pool water was poured over their heads, “If I remember correctly, the leader’s entire family was killed by… this ominous black dragon!”

Wen Shu frowned in displeasure, but did not act rashly. He immediately tried to activate his supernatural power.

With power gathering in her palm, she pursed her lips.

The magnet array has been removed; it seems that Lach and Rhofi have been brought under control.

"How evil must one be to be so cold-blooded as to not even spare one's own parents!"

The female who had lost her loved ones still wanted to cause trouble, but was stopped by another female, who said, "Don't do that, she doesn't know what happened..."

After cleaning their wounds, the two left the pool.

Wen Shu opened her sore eyes and took the opportunity to cleanse her body of toxins.

My gaze swept over the steaming pool, and just as I moved my arm slightly, a faint sound of footsteps came from beside me.

"woke up?"

A thin veil covered her head, tightly binding her, and pulled her into an embrace that smelled of blood.

Romand lowered his head, his eyes and brows filled with smugness, and a smirk played on his lips. "Female, you haven't mated with Luo Fei yet, have you?"

He leaned down close to Wen Shu's neck, gently sniffed, then pinched her cheek with his large hand, his smile deepening, "Spiritual partners?"

Wen Shu did not respond, her gaze falling on his pale jawline, where there was a trace of fresh blood.

The taste is familiar; it's tilapia...

"looking at what?"

Romand's handsome face zoomed in a bit, and he released her chin.

He brushed his fingertips against the side of his face, glancing at her lightly, a cold smile playing on his lips. "Don't worry, he's not dead yet, and he doesn't deserve to die so easily."

After navigating several corridors, he carried Wen Shu into a corner room and pushed open the door with his toes.

Dust settled gently in the luxurious and elegant room, which was covered with black velvet.

A beam of cold light shone in from the window, illuminating the gilded portrait of a happy couple on the wall.

The arms bent at the knees tightened, and Romand's slightly hoarse voice slowly rang out above his head.

"Luo Fei didn't tell you what crimes he committed, did he?"

He gazed at the portrait of several kind-looking middle-aged orcs, a hint of moisture welling up in his dark gold eyes.

"Back then, I thought we were the best of brothers, but he killed everyone for power. I still remember that undying ghostly fire that burned for three days and three nights..."

His trembling voice, shifting from reminiscence to grief and indignation, was deeply moving.

In this somber atmosphere, someone else might actually believe it.

But Wen Shu knew perfectly well how terrifying a beastman he was.

Because he was neglected since childhood, he cruelly murdered his brothers and parents; out of jealousy of the favored Luo Fei, he relentlessly pursued and killed him; to eliminate dissidents, he burned down Dragon Island...

Every single detail is contained in his side stories.

"..."

Seeing how realistic his performance was, Wen Shu felt ashamed of himself.

But when he lowered his eyes, he had to feign surprise.

"How could that be? Luo Fei isn't that kind of person!"

Romand seemed to have anticipated her reaction, and pulled a photographic stone from a drawer. "I know you don't believe me, but I really don't want you to be fooled anymore."

He held her as he sat on the edge of the bed, leaning closer intimately, pinching her cheek with his hand and gently lifting it up.

"Luo Fei is not good enough for you."

A familiar smile curved his lips, and his flamboyant yet gentle expression bore a striking resemblance to Luo Fei for a moment.

After seeing the image projected by the recording stone, Wen Shu understood what he wanted to do.

Two young children with very different personalities are brought together to comfort each other because of their parents' favoritism.

The brown-haired boy comforted little Rofi.

But as he left, little Tilapia faced the shore, mimicking the brown-haired boy's every move...

Romand was trying to use her, to destroy her spirit.

Wen Shu stared intently at the screen, her eyes filled with disbelief, yet she stubbornly shook her head. "Even so, so what? My feelings for Luo Fei aren't just because of this." Seeing her waver slightly, Romand smiled. "Female, he might truly love you, but this..."

He pursed his lips, hesitated for a few seconds, and said seriously, "That doesn't matter. He likes other females. I'll take you to see them."

As he spoke, Romand picked up Wen Shu again and left the room at a leisurely pace, heading towards the prison beneath the castle.

Throughout the journey, the guards were extremely respectful, looking at Romand with awe and loyalty.

"Open."

The outermost iron gate opened, and Wen Shu looked up to see inside.

The cells here are dark and damp, and the air is thick with the smell of blood.

The orcs were either lying on the ground in the haystacks, their wounds festering and oozing pus, or hanging in mid-air with iron hooks piercing their shoulders.

As Romand passed one side of the cell, Wen Shu frowned and saw Lach directly opposite him.

His limbs were pinned to the wall by curved magnets, his curly gray hair was stained with blood and stuck to the sides of his face, leaving only his pale, chapped lips exposed.

His dark chest rose and fell slightly, and his whole being exuded a faint aura of death.

"Uh--"

Upon smelling the familiar scent, he let out a painful groan, and his gloomy blue eyes slowly lifted.

Seeing Wen Shu's body go limp and be held in Romand's arms, his pupils constricted for a moment, and he struggled helplessly.

The scabbed wounds tore open, the pinned bones cracked, and blood gushed from the limbs, quickly soaking the ground.

Wen Shu held her breath, feeling a dense, throbbing pain that seemed to travel from her limbs to her heart.

"I am fine."

She opened her mouth silently, trying to stop him, but Romand pulled up his robe to block her view. "It's still ahead."

"Mistress..." Lach's faint voice sounded from behind.

Romand sighed helplessly, "Female, he's just mentally impaired right now. Since you know each other, you must know all the evil things he's done, right?"

Wen Shu couldn't ignore Lach's ordeal. Her face paled, her lips trembled, and she adopted a victim-like demeanor, adding insult to injury by saying, "He's certainly not a good person, but he's very capable..."

Seeing her lower her head guiltily, Romand paused for a second, his eyes filled with a hint of mockery. She was quite a pragmatic female.

He gently patted the top of her head with his large hand. "Don't be afraid, he can't get out."

Wen Shu didn't respond, glancing at the bloodstains on the ground out of the corner of her eye. The dungeon was heavily guarded; she had to steal those poison needles...

While she was pondering a solution, Romand stopped, lifted the corner of his robe with his slender hand, and pointed to the prison cell diagonally in front of him.

Wen Shu obediently raised her eyes and saw the figure in the dimly lit cell.

It's Luo Fei and Awen.

They seemed to be acting very ambiguously.

The male knelt on the ground, naked and covered in whip marks, his shoulder pierced by a magnetic hook, half-hanging in the cell, a small pool of blood below his knees.

The female, fearing he would be in pain, was anxiously treating him.

One looked up, the other looked down; from their angle, it looked like they were kissing.

"..."

Wen Shu was speechless. Was Romand a time traveler? What kind of cliché plot was this?

However... since Romand has gone to such lengths, he won't kill anyone for the time being.

She secretly breathed a sigh of relief and displayed the reaction Romand had expected.

When I got back to the bedroom, my eyes were swollen like walnuts.

Romand brushed his fingertip against the corner of her eye and said gently, "Female, don't cry."

He seemed very worried, so he moved closer, pulled her into his arms, and fumbled for something from the bedside table.

Before Wen Shu could react to his movements, a sharp pain shot through her side.

"Get some sleep."

The extremely suspicious Romand had not forgotten how formidable the female before him was.

Seeing that the female had fallen into a coma, he pulled out the poisoned needle, picked her up and moved her to the inside, gazing at her beautiful face.

Luo Fei is still so lucky.

But just like this Dragon Island, everything he has will eventually belong to him.

The fingertips brushed against the female's face, the delicate and soft touch clinging to the fingertips, making one's heart itch with desire.

He breathed heavily for two seconds, then grabbed her face with his large hand, but before he could get close, his wrist was suddenly gripped tightly.

P.S.: Waaah, need to catch up on some sleep, one more chapter to go.
