Chapter 365 Broken
In a secluded part of the forest, Qingzhu was squatting by a stream, carefully brewing medicine with an expression that was anything but serious.

His method of decocting medicine was extremely skillful, clearly indicating that he had done this kind of work many times before.

Just as the medicine was almost ready to be brewed, I was about to pour it out and drink it.

Suddenly, footsteps came from behind.

He quickly hid the medicine jar behind his back and looked at the newcomer warily.

Upon seeing Su Xiyue, he froze for a moment, a hint of embarrassment appearing on his handsome face. "Yue'er, what brings you here?"

Su Xiyue naturally noticed his act of secretly hiding the medicine and rolled her eyes. "If I hadn't come, you probably would have drunk all sorts of medicine. Qingzhu, your body is fine now, you'll have a child sooner or later, why do you need to drink these weird medicines?"

Qingzhu pursed her lips and said stubbornly, "But I want to have our baby soon."

"Why are you in such a hurry? These things should be left to take their natural course."

She was speechless. She walked over and tried to take the medicine bottle from behind him. "Give me the medicine quickly. You can't just drink this medicine."

Qingzhu suddenly stood up, turned around and ran away.

"Qingzhu, you stop right there."

She laughed in exasperation and hurriedly chased after him.

You really can't just drink this medicine indiscriminately. Every medicine has some degree of toxicity; you can make yourself sick even if you're not sick.

Hearing the commotion behind her, Qingzhu ran even faster.

He insisted on drinking the medicine he had painstakingly prepared today, even though the medicine pot was a bit hot.

Even though it was so hot, he couldn't let go; he grimaced and held on tightly.

They darted swiftly through the forest, their emerald green animal robes fluttering in the wind.

The two ran one after the other, one chasing the other.

Su Xiyue was furious. She never expected that Qingzhu, who looked so aloof, would be so childish. How was she any different from a rebellious child?
Unfortunately, Qingzhu was an eleventh-tier beastman with considerable strength, and no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't catch up with her.

She was panting heavily from chasing him, when suddenly she remembered something and used telepathy to shout, "Stop!"

The sound instantly exploded in the other person's mind.

The sudden telepathic transmission startled Qingzhu, and because she was running too fast, she didn't notice and bumped into a tree trunk, causing the medicine jar in her hand to fly out of her grasp.

"boom."

Qingzhu's expression changed instantly, thinking to herself: It's over, my medicine.

Ignoring the pain in his forehead from the impact, he was about to dodge and catch the medicine jar.

Bai Qi appeared out of nowhere, his two tails flicking out to catch the medicine jar steadily.

The medicine pot had just been filled with hot liquid; the medicine hadn't been poured out yet.

He quickly reached out to catch it.

I just picked two broad leaves and put them underneath to make it feel less hot.

He was starting to regret picking up the medicine bottle; there was no way he could throw it away now.

Instead, he smiled and looked at Qingzhu with a teasing expression: "Why does this medicine smell like the old witch doctor's 'Hundred Sons and Thousand Grandsons Soup'?"

"You old fox, give me back my medicine."

Qingzhu's handsome face instantly turned bright red, and then he reached out to snatch it.

"No hurries."

Bai Qi suddenly produced something as if by magic, "Adding this will make it taste even better, and it will also help with fertility."

Su Xiyue took a closer look and almost burst out laughing; it was clearly Coptis chinensis.

Does that old fox have to be so cunning?
Qingzhu's face instantly turned as black as the bottom of a pot, and she gritted her teeth and said, "Old fox, you're asking for death."

Bai Qi laughed so hard his fox tail flew wildly. He pretended to lift the lid and throw the Coptis chinensis into the medicine pot: "Don't be shy, this is top-grade Coptis chinensis that I specially brought back from Beast King City. It's a cure for infertility..."

"Treat you my foot!"

Qingzhu rushed forward with a dark face to snatch it.

The two exchanged blows, their ten fox tails and emerald green animal robes fluttering in the wind.

The medicine jar traced a dangerous arc in the air.

Seeing this scene, she was completely stunned. How did things turn out like this?
"Bang!"

In a moment of carelessness, the medicine jar fell from the sky and shattered instantly, splattering the medicine everywhere.

"My medicine!"

Qingzhu's eyes instantly reddened, overwhelmed with heartache.

Bai Qi hadn't expected this, and he touched his nose with a rare hint of guilt. "Well... if I fell, I fell. Anyway, I can't drink the medicine."

If Xiaoyue says you can't drink it, then you can't drink it. What does that old witch doctor know? His medical skills aren't even half as good as Xiaoyue's.

Qingzhu stared at the broken medicine on the ground, her emerald eyes almost shooting out daggers: "Old fox, I'm not done with you yet."

The wind blades spun at his fingertips, whistling as they flew toward Bai Qi.

Bai Qi's strength was only at the ninth level, while Qing Zhu was indeed an eleventh-level beastman.

If Bai Qi were to get serious, he would be no match for him at all.

Bai Qi knew this, of course, and also knew that Qingzhu had a habit of cutting people's hair. In order not to end up with a dog-chewed short haircut like Xuanming, the Ten-Tailed Beast suddenly exploded, deflecting the incoming wind blades. Then, it quickly hid behind Su Xiyue, looking guilty.

"Yue'er said you can't drink it, but you insist on drinking it. Aren't you forcing me to be the bad guy?"

As Bai Qi spoke, he touched his nose, feeling inexplicably guilty.

He then looked at Su Xiyue, coughed lightly, and said, "Um... Yue'er, I'll go back first."

Before the words were even finished, the person had already vanished from the spot.

Qingzhu stared at the direction where Bai Qi disappeared, her emerald eyes turning cold, and the wind blades at her fingertips spun even more fiercely, as if she were ready to chase after him and slash him at any moment.

Su Xiyue was both amused and exasperated, and quickly pressed his hand down, "Alright, alright, he's already run away, are you really going to chase after him and shave his head bald?"

Qingzhu pursed her lips and muttered, "He deserved it."

She shook her head helplessly and pulled him back. "It's good that the medicine is gone. You're perfectly healthy. You don't need to drink any of that weird stuff. You'd only ruin your health after you've just recovered."

Qingzhu lowered her eyes, her voice a few decibels lower: "I just..."

"Just what?"

She raised an eyebrow at him.

Qingzhu was silent for a moment, then suddenly looked up, her emerald green eyes staring straight at her, her voice slightly hoarse: "It's just that seeing them all have children, while I'm the only one without, makes me anxious, doesn't it?"

"You can't take medicine haphazardly just because you're in a hurry."

She shook her head and chuckled, "Although the shaman prescribed it for you, it shouldn't be a problem. But every medicine has its side effects, so it's best not to drink it if you can avoid it."

Qingzhu realized that she had been too hasty and suddenly felt a little regretful.

Fortunately, the old fox knocked the medicine over and she didn't drink it. If it had really ruined her health as Yue'er said, wouldn't that have been a loss?

Just about to say something.

Suddenly, I was drowned out by a series of closely transmitted whispers:
Ye Ling, hiding in some corner, transmitted his voice, a deep, teasing tone: "I heard someone's gone crazy wanting to be a father?"

Immediately following was Xuanming's telepathic message, his voice gloating: "Hahaha... even the poisonous bamboo shoots have met their match."

Feng Su's flamboyant voice echoed softly in Qingzhu's mind: "Tsk tsk... How pitiful, little bamboo, does this clan leader need to impart the secrets of childbirth?"

Xuanyuan Ming's telepathic message was simple and direct: "Heh."

Although it was just a cold sneer, it was more hurtful than any words.

Mo Lin's telepathic message was even more sarcastic: "I wouldn't mind if the kid recognized you as his godfather."

Qingzhu's face darkened and veins bulged on his forehead from the constant telepathic messages.

He finally understood; the commotion had attracted everyone's attention.

Want to see him make a fool of himself? No way.

Qingzhu's face turned pale and then red. Suddenly, he turned around, picked up Su Xiyue, and sent a telepathic message to the group: "Tonight, I'll show you what 'letting nature take its course' really means."

Startled by the sudden movement, Su Xiyue immediately hooked her arms around Qingzhu's neck to prevent herself from falling, and glared at him with a flushed face: "What are you doing? Put me down right now."

"Don't let it go."

Qingzhu said with a dark face, but instead of letting go, she hugged him even tighter.

He then picked her up and strode away, completely ignoring the various teasing and mocking thoughts that echoed in his mind.

Ye Ling and the others emerged from behind the tree, watching the two figures disappear into the distance, and couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy.

Tonight it's Qingzhu's turn, and I can guess what she's going to do with my toes.

.........

At night, everything is silent.

Qingzhu truly kept her word and worked incredibly hard all night long.

So much so that Su Xiyue almost couldn't get out of bed the next day, suffering from severe back pain.

She cursed Qingzhu a thousand times in her heart, vowing to teach that bastard a lesson later.

Unfortunately, by the time she got up, the culprit seemed to know she would settle scores later, and had disappeared without a trace early in the morning; she didn't even see him at breakfast.

Su Xiyue sat in her seat, looking at Qingzhu's empty seat, and gritted her teeth in anger.

Bai Qi placed a piece of meat on her plate with a half-smile. "Don't be angry. It's not worth ruining your health. Here, eat some meat to nourish yourself."

Xuanming just ate in silence, occasionally stealing a glance at her, afraid that her anger would affect him.

Ye Ling's face darkened slightly; his room was right across from Yue'er's.

Even without deliberately eavesdropping, the noise clearly reached his ears, keeping him tossing and turning all night, unable to sleep.

Strictly speaking, he hasn't had a full night's sleep since Yue'er finished her postpartum confinement.

Every night I was forced to listen to all that nonsense, and I couldn't do anything about it. It was incredibly agonizing.

I used to think living in this room was quite nice; it was closest to Yue'er and also a symbol of the first beast husband.

But now I've discovered that living here is really not good at all. Every night I get extremely aroused, which seriously affects my sleep.

Honestly, he'd rather live upstairs.

At least it's clean.
