Mercenary I am the king

Chapter 915 Death Route

Chapter 915 Death Route
Song Heping quickly asked, "Are you going to Deir ez-Zor?"

Deir ez-Zor is a city in eastern Syria near the border.

It's quite a coincidence that it's very close to Asara Town, less than 70 kilometers away.

In other words, Hassan went to a place very close to where the cook was trapped!

It's really hard to find a place to break through the iron shoes, and it takes no effort to get it!
Song Heping suddenly had a new idea.

“That’s right, we’re going to Deir ez-Zor. The 1515 militants have cut off the M4 highway.” Hassan nodded and said, “The 104th Brigade stationed there is about to collapse, and I’ve been ordered to take a company to reinforce them.”

Utkin suddenly interrupted, his Russian hushed and urgent: "The town of Asara is just seventy kilometers south of Deir ez-Zor!"

Song Heping was certainly aware of this.

He quickly asked Hassan, "Colonel, we happen to be going there too, can we talk?"

"You're going to Deir ez-Zor too?" Hassan asked, somewhat surprised.

He glanced at Song Heping and the Russian and Chinese men beside him, a strange look flashing in his eyes, wondering if this guy had gone mad.

However, out of curiosity, he agreed to "talk".

"Okay, where shall we talk?"

"The conference room, there's a map there."

A few minutes later.

Song Heping stood in front of the map of Syria that had been cleared out in the conference room.

The red and blue arrows on the map intertwine and intersect in Deir ez-Zor province.

Song Heping pinned the location of Asala Town to the ground with a dagger.

"Colonel, this is where we're going."

"Ashala Town?"

Hassan finally understood.

"A few days ago, there was a battle there. It is said that Wagner's men also participated in the operation to retake the oil field area. Unfortunately, I received news that it had failed. That's why the 1515 armed forces there were able to advance to Deir ez-Zor and have been fighting the 104th Brigade there for more than two days now."

“We have brothers trapped there,” Song Heping said. “In Asara town, the 1515 armed group has not yet completely taken over the area. There are still about a hundred people there, including Wagner and government troops.”

Hassan paused for a moment, then shook his head: "I heard that they lost contact over there 24 hours ago, and if I may be so bold..."

He paused, seemingly considering how to phrase it more tactfully.

"Let me put it this way, there won't be any survivors there. I know the 1515 armed group's modus operandi; when they capture a place, they leave no military personnel alive, and even the local people, if they dare to rebel in the slightest, will face certain death..."

He raised his hand and made a throat-slitting gesture at his neck.

"No matter what, I have to go and see."

Song Heping said, "My friend has always been very lucky."

Seeing Song Heping's insistence, Hassan countered, "How are you going to get there with just a few people? Do you know how many war zones you have to pass through to get to Deir ez-Zor? The cities in the central region and the northern cities are now engulfed in war. The opposition has multiple coalition forces. If you encounter any of them, you're all going to die."

He drew a very definitive conclusion about Song Heping and others.

“No matter what, I’m going.” Song Heping interrupted him, his voice cold and hard as iron: “Even if I only find his body.”

Seeing Song Heping's unwavering resolve, Hassan was also somewhat moved.

After a moment of silence, he said, "You want to come with us to Deir ez-Zor, and then go to Asara to rescue people?"

“Yes,” Song Heping said. “At the same time we set off, a battalion of Wagner soldiers from Damascus will also be heading to Deir ez-Zor. We will meet up there and then enter Asara.”

Hassan's eyes suddenly lit up.

He led a company to Deir ez-Zor, but he himself wasn't really sure about the outcome.

If an entire brigade can't hold out, how much can we accomplish with just one company?
So he's been worrying about troop strength these past few days.

Hearing that Song Heping could mobilize a battalion-sized Wagner mercenary unit, they immediately saw hope.

"I can take you there!"

This time he didn't object.

"But you have to agree to one condition."

"You want us to help you lift the siege of Deir ez-Zor after you've completed the rescue, right?"

Song Heping saw through Hassan's thoughts.

“That’s right.” Hassan didn’t mince words and said directly, “It’s so comfortable talking to smart people. So, how about it? Is this deal feasible?” “Of course, we can share intelligence, manpower, and resources. You send me to Deir ez-Zor, and I will help you solve the current problem of insufficient manpower in Deir ez-Zor and get you out of trouble.”

Song Heping added, "Don't worry, I've dealt with 1515 before and taken out quite a few of their people. Besides, I can mobilize some troops in Iligo to attack 1515 from behind and distract them."

"Irigo's military strength?" Hassan seemed to understand. "You mean you can mobilize the militia forces in western Irigo?"

"You can say that."

Song Heping thought to himself that Samir could still mobilize his several thousand troops, and besides, they and the 1515 organization were mortal enemies, so they would definitely be happy to follow his command.

"make a deal!"

Hassan no longer hesitated: "We'll set off immediately after the bombing!"

"How long will it take you to get to Deir ez-Zor?" Song Heping asked.

Hassan said, "72 hours."

“No!” Song Heping said, “My friend can’t wait 72 hours.”

He suddenly grabbed a colored pencil from the table and drew a winding red line on the drawing: "I demand to follow this line."

The pen tip traced across three battle zone markings.

"This way, we can reach Deir ez-Zor in 36 hours."

The room suddenly became quiet.

That route was known as the "Death Highway".

Utkin whistled; even he thought Song Heping's decision was downright reckless.

"Hahahaha, Song, you're insane!"

He couldn't help but laugh.

Song Heping, however, had a serious expression.

He threw down his pen and looked at Hassan: "Do you dare to leave?!"

Hassan pondered for a moment, then gritted his teeth and said, "What's there to be afraid of! I'll risk it all!"

Song Heping pulled out a dagger and planted it at the location of Asala Town, leaving a cold glint in its eye: "Deal."

He then looked at Hassan: "Colonel, we need detailed maps, as well as intelligence on all possible combat zones. Also, we don't have many people, so it would be best if we could have your guides."

Hassan nodded: "Don't worry, I'll arrange everything. But do you really have enough manpower?"

Song Heping sneered: "That's enough. Sometimes, quality is more important than quantity."

Hassan, upon hearing this, said nothing more.

He knew that the man in front of him was a ruthless character and a capable person.

If I just cooperate with him, maybe we can really lift the siege of Deir ez-Zor.

In the following period, both sides began to make preparations in full swing.

Hassan mobilized his most elite soldiers and provided them with ample ammunition and supplies.

Meanwhile, Song Heping contacted the Wagner soldiers in Damascus to ensure they could meet at the designated time and place.

Everything is being planned intensively.

Midway through, Song Heping asked Utkin to try to contact the cook.

Unfortunately, the cook's satellite phone was switched off.

"Song..."

Even Utkin was starting to waver.

"Maybe……"

Song Heping interrupted him, saying, "If you were the cook, and the cook were you, do you think the cook would go to save you?"

Utkin was stunned.

Suddenly, he raised his hand and slapped himself across the face.

"Damn me!"

Gritting his teeth, he said again, "Damn it! I'll follow you to Asara even if I die!"
