Mercenary I am the king

Chapter 760 Dispute

Chapter 760 Dispute
"I hired him! You have no right to stop him!"

Facing the furious Nicholas, Maria seemed to ignore him completely, like a rebellious girl who broke her old father's heart.

"I'm doing this for your own good! He's the target, you're not! As long as you leave him, we can return to Europe immediately."

Nicholas is still trying his best to persuade his daughter.

After so many years, I can handle everything, but I can't handle my own daughter.

This underground emperor of Eastern Europe was filled with frustration.

"I've decided not to go with you. I want to stay here."

Maria stared at Nicholas coldly, without a wavering expression in her eyes.

The female doctor stared at her father as if she was not looking at her own flesh and blood relative, but facing an enemy.

The air around them was filled with tension; even the barking of wild dogs in the distant woods seemed particularly harsh.

"Do you want me to take strong measures?!"

There was a hint of threat in Nicholas' tone.

"Father, don't you understand?"

Maria's voice was low and firm, with an unquestionable determination.

"This is not about Song Heping, nor is it about you and me. This is about those innocent villagers. They need our protection, and I will stay until they reach Ethiopia safely."

"You're completely crazy! Did studying at a medical school make you stupid? God!"

Nicholas's face turned pale and veins bulged on his forehead.

He took a sudden step forward, standing right in front of his daughter, his voice practically pierced through his teeth: "You're crazy! Mossad and the Satan Legion are on their way! They won't let Song Heping go, let alone anyone connected to him! You think you're being a hero? You're courting death!"

Maria didn't flinch. Instead, she met her father's gaze, a sneer curling her lips. "Going to die? Father, have you forgotten what you told me back then? When Mom died, I begged you to come home, but what did you say? You told me to die! The farther away, the better! Now I'm dying, and what? Are you unhappy, my dear father!?"

Nicholas's hands trembled slightly, and the veins on his temples throbbed.

He could feel his blood pressure rising, so he took a deep breath and tried to suppress the anger and anxiety in his heart.

I have to pay the price for the mistakes I made back then.

After calming down, Nicholas persuaded her in a gentle tone, "Maria, listen to me, this is not a game. You know the methods of the Mossad, they won't give you any chance. The Satan Legion is a bunch of lunatics, they will only tear you all apart! Come with me, it's not too late!"

"No." Maria answered decisively without any hesitation. She looked at Song Heping.

Jiang Feng is bandaging Song Heping's wound.

Maria's eyes became more determined.

"I won't abandon them. Song has sacrificed so much for these villagers, I can't let him face this alone. If you really care about me, then stay and fight with us."

Nicholas's expression froze instantly, as if he had been hit by a heavy punch.

A trace of pain and helplessness flashed in his eyes, and his voice became hoarse: "You...you are forcing me."

"I didn't force you, Father." Maria's voice softened, but still firm.

"I'm just doing what I think is right. You can choose to leave, but I won't."

Nicholas was silent, his eyes looking past Maria at the desolate swamp and jungle in the distance.

The wind blew through the treetops, and dark clouds drifted over and obscured the bright moon.

Everything seemed to foreshadow the coming storm.

He knew that it was time to pay for the mistakes he had made in the past.

"Okay," he finally said, his voice low and tired.

"If you insist on staying, then I won't leave either. But I warn you, Maria, this battle won't be easy. The Mossad and the Satan Corps won't give us any breathing space."

Maria's eyes flashed with gratitude, but it was quickly replaced by determination. "I know, Father. But we will not back down."

Nicholas nodded and turned to walk towards the helicopter parked in the distance.

Maria looked at her father's back, a complex emotion welling up in her heart.

She hated this man.

I hated him immensely. But when I saw his old face and lonely back, my heart ached inexplicably.

"Wait, Mr. Nicholas!"

Song Heping suddenly spoke.

He called out to Nicholas.

"how?"

A fierce light flashed in Nicholas's single eye.

He really dislikes Song Heping.

This guy brought danger to my daughter.

And my daughter seems...

The old father is sensitive.

There is always the annoyance of having the cabbages you worked so hard to grow in the fields picked by others.

"Boy, you better protect my daughter, or I'll be one of those who hunt you down."

Looking at the furious Nicholas, Song Heping almost laughed out loud.

This one-eyed dragon is really...

Do you really think you want to take over this business?

"Mr. Nicholas, you can take your daughter away. I fully agree."

These words made Nicholas and Maria stunned at the same time.

Nicholas thought that Song Heping would hold Maria tightly and stay with her, so that he could be involved and use himself as a shield.

Maria had never expected that she would follow this man to Ethiopia at all costs just to use her father's power to provide some protection.

I didn't expect that he would not appreciate it!
"What did you say?!"

"What did you say?!"

The father and daughter asked almost in unison.

"I say you two, take a helicopter and leave together, or Mr. Nicholas, you can personally escort your daughter to Ethiopia, and I and my people will leave. We will go our separate ways and have nothing to do with each other."

He turned to Maria.

"Doctor Maria, thank you very much for saving my friend's life. I think you understand my situation and identity. Your father is right. I am indeed being hunted by the Mossad, the CIA, and the Satan Legion. It would be most dangerous for you to stay with me. It would only bring disaster upon yourself. Go with your father. That would be a wise choice."

"Song..."

Maria was about to speak when she was interrupted by Song Heping again.

"Get lost! Don't follow me! Think about it! We can move much more flexibly on our own than if we were protecting you. Do you understand? If you follow me, you'll only cause trouble for me. I've already been shot several times. Please, let me go, auntie. Don't follow me and hurt me."

Song Heping tried his best to fill his tone with disgust and sarcasm.

"I can't stand your saintly mentality. You should just die on your own, but you're dragging me down with you. Your father is here, perfect. Hurry and go with him! Stop dragging me down, okay?!"

Maria stood there, listening to Song Heping's scolding and disgust, and suddenly her eyes turned red, tears fell, then she covered her mouth, turned and ran away.

Watching Maria leave, Song Heping finally breathed a sigh of relief.

There is one thing I didn't lie about.

Taking Maria and two hundred villagers with him, he would be killed sooner or later.

Nicholas was stunned for a long time, then suddenly gave Song Heping a thumbs up and said, "Good job, kid. I owe you a favor. If you are still alive after this, you can come to Eastern Europe to find me. I can help you with anything you want to do there."

Seeing him so arrogant, Song Heping taunted him, "Well, I want to kill your president. Will you help me?"

"what?!"

Before Nicholas could come to his senses, Song Heping had already taken his men away and disappeared into the woods in the distance.
