Sherlock Holmes at Hogwarts.
Chapter 331 Ron's Bold Idea
Chapter 331 Ron's Bold Idea
Ginny was delighted to discover that Luna could connect with Sherlock in her own unique way.
The better Luna's relationship with Sherlock, the more it will help her get closer to Harry.
I feel a little bad for Hermione.
After spending the day in the library, the group had dinner together in the school auditorium before Ginny pulled Luna, who was still reluctant to leave, away.
This left her feeling both amused and exasperated.
Before she arrived here, she thought she would be the main character.
When they finally arrived, they discovered that the main character was someone else entirely.
That evening, Ron returned from Hogsmeade, weary from his journey.
"Give!"
A huge pile of colorful candies rained down on Harry's bed.
"I'll take as much as I can; even if your cousin can eat a lot, it'll be enough for him."
"Ron, I'm afraid you've underestimated Dudley's strength."
Harry glanced at the snacks on his bed and said rather awkwardly, "He can eat even more than you."
"Hey—what kind of talk is that!"
Ron pretended to be angry and said, "Why are you using me as a comparison?"
Harry quickly opened a bag of pepper and handed it over, "Sorry, I was just using an analogy..."
"Where is Sherlock?"
Ron had only been pretending to be angry, so he took the bed and looked at the empty bed before asking a question.
"He's still reading in the common room. Didn't you see him when you came?"
Ron was about to put the snacks in his mouth when he heard this and paused: "I thought you guys would all be in the dorms so late, so I didn't go over there."
"Where are Nave and Dean? Didn't they come back with you?"
“He went next door to play chess with Seamus,” Ron said dismissively. “Those two chess idiots wanted to call me over, but I refused, so Dean dragged Neville over instead.”
Upon hearing this, Harry couldn't help but silently mourn for Neville for a few seconds.
Ron then asked, "By the way, did you ask him what he's been doing all this time?"
"I asked, and he said he was investigating Sirius Black's case."
"Oh?" Ron suddenly became interested. "How so?"
"We should be able to catch Black by next semester at the latest," Harry said truthfully.
"Good job!"
Like Harry and Hermione, Ron trusted Sherlock completely.
He exclaimed excitedly, "As expected of Sherlock! Now you can finally lift your confinement!"
"Confined to your home..."
Harry thought about it and realized that Ron was right.
Given my current situation, not being allowed to go home for winter and spring break, not being able to go to Hogsmeade on weekends, and possibly even having to stay at school during the summer vacation... isn't that basically being under house arrest?
Once Sherlock is able to find Black's whereabouts, then these restrictions on himself should indeed be lifted.
only……
Ron was unaware that once Blake was caught, lifting the house arrest would only be one aspect of the plan.
More importantly, the villain who betrayed his parents, his nominal godfather, can finally be brought to justice.
Harry had thought countless times about what he should do when that day finally came.
Kill him?
No, Tom Riddle had tried to seduce himself into doing this in the Secret Room last school year.
I wasn't fooled back then, so how could I possibly go back to the wrong path a year later?
Neither parents nor friends want them to become murderers, especially not for such scum.
So, once we figure out how he escaped from Azkaban, let's send him back to Azkaban!
"Since Sherlock says he can catch it, then he definitely can... Hey, are you planning to buy a new flying broom?"
While Harry was deep in thought, Ron noticed the "Complete Book of Flying Broomsticks" on Harry's bedside table. He picked it up, flipped through it, and then asked curiously.
"Yes, Wood has been urging me to order a new flying broomstick lately."
"Haha, if I were him, I'd urge you too. You can't exactly ride that 'Meteor' to fight Ravenclaw, can you? That thing flies slower than a butterfly."
"Yes, me too."
"Actually, I have a bold idea."
"what idea?"
"Go find Professor McGonagall and ask her to buy you a fire bolt!"
Harry: ━━∑( ̄□ ̄*|||━━
Ron, oblivious to Harry's look of utter disbelief, continued excitedly:
"Do you still remember your Nimbus 2000?"
That broom wasn't cheap either, but Professor McGonagall bought it for you as a gift!
It's clear that her desire for victory is no less than ours, so go find Professor McGonagall and tell her that you really want a fire crossbow.
Of course, it's not good to let her pay for everything. You should find a way to cover the bulk of the cost and then have her sponsor a portion.
By the way, this is perfect as a Christmas present for you this year…
"Ron, do you want to hear what you're saying?"
Harry couldn't stand it anymore and interrupted him.
Ron's idea can't be called bold; it's downright insane.
"Professor McGonagall spent hundreds of Galleons to buy me the Nimbus 2000, I'm already very grateful to her, why would I ask her to do something like this?" "What thing?"
Just then, Hermione pushed open the door and walked in. She looked around and said, "Huh, hasn't Sherlock come back yet?"
Hermione didn't come alone; she was carrying Crookshanks in her arms, though the big cat looked rather displeased, with a gold foil ornament around its neck.
"Don't bring it here!"
Ron panicked when he saw this and quickly grabbed Banban from the bedside and stuffed her into his pocket.
However, Hermione ignored her and threw Crookshanks onto Sherlock's empty bed, then picked up the snacks Ron had brought back from Harry's bed.
"Thanks, Ron."
"You're welcome."
Ron frowned and glanced at Crookshank. He and Hermione had finally reconciled because of their concern for Harry, and he didn't want to ruin things over this again.
He took a deep breath, forcing himself not to look at the annoying big cat, and recounted the results of his discussion with Harry.
"What are you talking about, Ron? How can you ask a professor for a gift?"
"It's just a matter of Professor McGonagall sponsoring a portion!"
Ron argued vehemently, "Didn't Sherlock say that she didn't want Gryffindor to be suppressed forever?"
Besides, Harry has helped Gryffindor win the House Championship for two consecutive years. As the Headmistress, shouldn't she show her appreciation?
"She's already made that clear! Don't forget the Nimbus 2000; back then, it was an expensive item costing several hundred Galleons!"
“That’s right, Ron, I would never do such a thing!”
"Okay, okay, I admit I went a bit too far..."
Seeing that his suggestion was opposed by both of his good friends, Ron couldn't help but feel a little regretful. "I already said it's a bold idea, why are you taking it so seriously?"
Hermione frowned slightly and gave Ron a disgruntled look.
At that moment, Harry was surprised to find that he could actually understand Hermione's eyes.
That look in his eyes clearly said that Ron was an idiot... Uh, right, I think I was looking at Ron like that just now too.
That's fine.
Just then, Crookshanks, who had been lying quietly on Sherlock's bed, suddenly leaped up and landed squarely on Ron's chest.
Ron's anger flared instantly, and his face turned as red as his hair.
Crookshanks' sharp claws tore at Ron's clothes, the fabric hissing loudly in the cramped dormitory.
"Take it away!"
Ron gripped Scabbers' tail tightly with one hand, shielding Scabbers behind him, afraid that they would be touched by Crookshanks in the slightest.
With his other foot blazing with rage, he kicked fiercely toward Crookshan.
Unfortunately, he has never been good at using both hands and feet, and his kick not only missed Crookshanks, but instead hit Harry's bed leg hard.
"Ooh-woo—!"
Ron kicked out in anger, and the force was considerable.
So when he kicked the bed leg, he screamed in pain and jumped up, clutching one leg with both hands.
Is it that lively?
Just then, Sherlock pushed open the door and walked in.
The chaotic scene inside the room instantly came into view:
Ron, clutching one leg, hopped around on one leg, Crookshanks arched his back, his fur bristling, poised to pounce, while Harry and Hermione both looked tense.
He understood what was happening at a glance.
He strode forward and pulled Crookshan, who was about to pounce on Ron, into his arms.
Just like last time in the common room, Crookshanks is not behaving himself despite being caught by Sherlock.
Its body writhed and twisted desperately, trying to break free from Sherlock's embrace, while it let out a low growl.
"Hermione..."
Sherlock was about to speak when a sharp whistling sound suddenly rang out.
He frowned, reached into his robe pocket, and pulled out the source of the sound.
It was the miniature spyglass that Ron gave to Harry.
At this moment, it was just like it was on the train before the start of the school year, sparkling and spinning with a sharp whistle.
Sherlock looked at Crook Hill, then at Scabbers.
One was restless, the other was trembling.
His gaze sharpened instantly.
"Hermione, you take Crookshanks back first."
Hermione opened her mouth as if to explain something, but when she met Sherlock's firm and insightful gaze, she swallowed the words that were on the tip of her tongue.
She nodded slightly, took Crookshank from Sherlock, picked up the snacks Ron had bought that were scattered to the side, and turned to walk towards the door.
As Crookshan was led out, its pair of yellow eyes still glared fiercely at Ron.
"Dude, can't you just turn that thing off?"
After watching Hermione and Crookshanks leave, Ron sat on the bed rubbing his toes. "It was so noisy it was driving me crazy."
Sherlock waved the viewing mirror in his hand and said slowly, "But I remember Harry saying that you took it to the magical equipment shop in Hogsmeade to be repaired, and they said it wasn't broken."
